Yea and no...They arent really that small actually...The sculps are way bulkier than the infinity models so even though these particular guys are the smallest (Think bulky gw goblin) of the range of trollkin, they arent super small. And from what i understand there are some really big models in the warmahordes line and im kinda itching to paint some...

I am super unfamiliar with the warmahoards models, but those guys look good.

Wow bebop, I have been lurking for a while for which i apologise, the infinity stuff isn't my thing aesthetically, but thats not to say I cant appreciate how phenonomenal your paintwork on it is, it was only recently i realised quite how small those models are and it made me even more in awe. As for the trollkin, they are wonderful, the pastel colours and subtle glazes are just great, and i imagine they are a bit more fun to paint than the concentration needed for the infinity guys.

Great stuff bebop! Trolls are looking great! And that last blue crusader Infinity chick ( I have no idea what her name/title is) looks amazing. Those blues are gorgeous and I really like your approach to doing her blonde hair.

Thanks Moltar! Im pleased with how she came out! The blonde was a pretty standard approach to doing blond hair that GW often explains, i did do a few thin washes of browns before i started layering though

Ive finished two more. The fellow holding the staff got a hideously unlucky blast of primer dust, which has never happened to me using the P3 primers i like. I almost didnt paint him but i was able to rub the grit off mostly with my thumb and reprime by brush and still...the bad prime job really just got in the way of wanting to even paint him....im happy he turned out as good as he did which isnt fab, but again this is more about dirty fun and playing with washes and messy stuff so itll do just fine. The 4th fellow, actually is my favorite, and seems to have streamlined a pretty good approach to doing these guys, maybe ill include some close ups with the 4th, but the staff fellow is fine where he is LOL....cute from afar, far from cute. Total Monet....

Wonderful, just as a separate thing, I for one really appreciate the bigger pictures, they break my phone, but it's seeing it at that level helps to understand how you applied the paint if that makes sense, it's really informative, with most pictures there is a limit to how much you can zoom so you just get a general impression of the build up.

Great work as usual Bebop! Lovely skintones. I too prefer the bigger pictures! Really shows your work off better imo. Hard to make things out in the smaller pics.

Its been a while Dakka, and for that im sorry! Havent had much of an uge to paint in the last few months, that is until i took inventory of my catachan army and it really made me miss playing 40k. It is my usual mode to fail at an attempt to make an a new 40k army (infinity i was moderately successful), but ive decided to revisit my (4hr) space sharks. Nothing fancy, just simple and efficient painting so i can play 40k with models that are durable and i dont feel precious with them. In the spirit of keeping it casual, here are some off the cuff iphone shots of 1 of the 2 that i just finished, and a full shot of so far the total lot of 12 (10 from a while back and 2 new ones from this week) They've blended well. Hope you all are great, the projects you all are working on are insane!! Inspiring as usual.

I completed another today a plasma gunner. I kept this one a little cleaner and I like it. I’m going to move them to be a little less dirty, still chipped but just...a little....less dirty :p






Onward eh....13/20 done. Hope for progress that’s all I can say...

THE GREEN BASES: Im SO glad you asked....well firstly, since im painting the original rogue trader space sharks scheme im going with a classic 90s green GW base rim. Its not the same color really as the old classic bases, but its green nonethe less....secondly. i just wanted some damn color in the scheme. A guuy at my FLGS is pining for me to change the bases to dark brown. And thats just too bland for me. The green base rims stay. Glad you like them i consider that a big win
Eya GITS! the beak helm for sure, i really would like to have them ALL be beak helmets but alas i only 3 per blister. I could ebay it but im already 15 guys in ...:/

anywho: ive got two more finished. Another stard marine with a bolter and then also the missle launcher. Super fun to paint them both...ive included a few more shots of the missle trooper since its a more interesting model. The pose on the standard gunner is questionable to say the least. I used the wrong left arm by mistake and now it looks like hes calling someone out and shooting his gun into the air to get there a attention...yup thats the story im sticking to...(should make for some funny RP in game) My iphone was being a little b*tchy with weird colors coming into the photos so...oh well....4 hour space sharks!!!! >_<

These are absolutely gorgeous. The crisp painting of the armour is lovely and blends nicely with the weathering you have on it. Are you going to be dabbling in the primaris pool (or should that be paddling?)

Guys great to hear from you !! Cam and Dr H, welcome back old friends! Ghost and imperial, thanks and hello! I have some more space sharks finished. 2 standard gunners making 17/20 finished. im going to do one more rocket launcher, the sarge and one standard gunner. before i do that though im going to paint the dread. Bad news as well, the custom decal sheets are not working out. i got inkjet decal paper, and i printed out the decals perfectly, and then water got on it and.....epic fail. i tried one in water and it just smeared and melted into nothing. Not sure what to do about this beyond painting them by hand. which i can do. but not on shoulders i wont be doing that sadly. :( at least i dont think i should. thoughts on that??? hand paint all the original space sharks logos on so far 20 shoulder pads. Anyways heres two more fellas not very interesting are they....
