Maybe the OOP box makes it worth the cost.
Clearly it is the little flag.

It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that. |

That one isn't bad really. The OOP version of the kit is slightly different in some details (for example, the side plates have raised hatches and more depth where on the modern kit they're completely flat) and it's only $20 more than the current kit. That's less "folly" and more "someone is going to buy it at that price if you wait a little longer".

Holy crap, it sold for $150!!!!
A friend found this one:

My thoughts: "Oh that's a reasonably-painted model, at ~$10 I could just highlight and give it some washes and be happy with it... wait... $45 freaking dollars!?! It's not even that well painted! Oh and $20 shipping!?!!!?!"

£784.00 for 20 models.
They're nicely painted/converted, but I can tell at least that their Hellbrute is just a converted DV model and their sorcerer is just a kitbashed standard CSM.
I could see this going for $200 USD or so but criminy, it's worth nowhere near the asking price. And that's without the additional Maulerfiend and Warp Talons they're trying to upsell you to.

I saw it two days ago, but I guess the guy realized what he had and took it down: there was an OOP Bloodthirster going for $85 on eBay. By OOP, I mean it was in the 5th edition box, but the current model, minus the alternate torso/head option. Yeah...think the guy realized it wasn't worth half of that...

The red marine inside is a nice touch to go with the quality blue finish. When stating pro-painted, I can only assume he gave money to a hooker for a paint job.

Actually, that's completely valid. Those are Diaz sculpts and get higher prices than normal Daemonettes. The paint is irrelevant.

When i see 'Pro painted' I always think they just meant to type 'Bro painted' as most of the time it looks like they gave thier little brother a paintbrush and said "go for it"
