Nope. That kind of sand has too even a texture for snow. It dies work really well as sand interestinly enough as its a little too fine for "dirt"

The base designs will be awesome as they include a scenic setting element and most may be very generic 40k like pattern, or a beveled edge as the most popular.
Base competition is fiercer than I thought out there!

It can be. but do not confuse the vocal netizens for the true majority... the majority is generally quiet on the net, but talks with their wallets.

Im not Dead... Honest!
Thanks Skalk. They will be coming in very handy in the next day or so.
News...
We had a nasty power surge/ sag cycle caused by a local cascade failure of the local power grid.
It toasted my Mothers office computer's power supply, as well as my Desktop's power supply.
Due to some awesome advice from tech savvy friends such as Dsteingass I replaced the power supplies of the respective machines and now they work.
That left me with two deceased powersupplies that I have since harvested for interesting bits...
I've also started to get caught up on my commissioned work so will soon begin working on catching up my production backlog.
as well as building terrain for sale/use at Da Boyz GT 2013 in Ny.
On to the Pics.
and now a pic of my (REALLY) toasted powersupply mid harvesting

Remember to let the PSUs sit somewhere for at least a week, preferably two. The capacitors and transformers in there can really hurt, if you don't let things drain off.

Yeah, if you had a good ground, the spike probably caused it to arc to the case and ground everything pretty nicely. Back in the modem days, that was pretty common place for it to ground, frying the modem too.

I remember that... We lost one that way then my dad got a UPS for it. then tech rolled onwards... OUr house also tends to eat UPS's as there seems to be lots of microblips here that just fry the things...
Anyhoo... I've got some more work done on the table I'm building for Da Boyz, I'll have Pics up tomorrow.

Given some of the other oddities of how my house was built (by idiots) it is entirely possible that the wired it to something else that causes an "echo" of sorts in the household current.
