The prices of the kits border on amazingly silly.
The details on the kits are just as silly.

Positive things? - Dark Apostle (looks like it will be a finecast nightmare for QC), Warpsmith (same as the Dark Apostle) and Raptor kit for bits.

Negative? Maulerfiend - still too Dinobot for its own good. Helldrake - really not impressed with it. Even less when I've seen an amazingly converted Arachnarok as a giant Nurglesque fly - and to be frank the Arachnarok is £9 less.

Oh, and the Mutilators rival the Razorgor for quality.

Swing and a miss on the most part. Thank Nurgle I've got pretty much everything I could ever need or want. If I want anything more I'll look at conversions tbh.

Also, I honestly love the new stuff... I think your too jaded by your obvious bad luck to see the quality that lays in the new stuff.

Actually the pair of you are wrong in every sense.

The Robo-bird, or as I'm dubbing it, Lazerbeak is actually based on the old epic model. and the dinobot as you put it looks more like a hulking Juggernaught than anything else.

Yes I cant say I am sold on the models over all, but some of the parts would make for some cool conversions

Heldrakes cost more than the large Warhammer monsters.

And Forge World's Hell Blade only costs £7 more. That's just...wow.

We all knew GW was jacking up their prices this year, so non of you should act surprised tbh.

DSS, I like the majority of the models, the only thing I don't like is the finecast mutilators and the reboxing of the Obliterators... makes no sense when everything is supposedly going plastic.

I love Laser-beak/Helldrake. nothing will make me think otherwise. because the idea and the execution imo is awesome.

The Raptors are the shizz tbh, they are how they always should have been, pre-heresy marines warped by chaos.

It seems this codex is going along the lines of Daemonic warchamines, which, hopefully, allows for Legions to come to fruition.

either way, I like the new releases. I just don't like the prices, which is expected... and another reason I go through Independent retailers.

but seriously though, when I look at the dragon I see Zapdos crossed with Bahamut Zero (FFVII), and that I love.

I completly agree with Jackal and DarkStar, That dragon.. looks like a corny powerrangers villian, plus I'd take the hellblade over it anyday

to cut a long story short Vik... the Pheonix entity was reborn and heading to earth. Bent on being united with Hope Summers, the girl dubbed mutant kinds saviour... but not only were the avengers waiting for it hell bent on killing it. But so were the x-men trying to unite hope with it. Hope rejected the entity out of fear... only for tony stark to shoot it with big space gun, which separated the entity between five x-men. Scott, Emma frost, Illyana and Petyr Rasputin, Prince Namor. que several issues of fighting in an attempt to kill the separate parts of the entity, for only each time one host was defeated to have that part of the force empower the others... come issue 11, only scott and emma remained. for scott to sucker punch emma, and to become the pheonix. the x-men now helped the avengers in one last attempt. which failed. Xavier tried to reason with Scott, only for it to backfire to the point of his death. now we have a problem... Scott has become Dark Pheonix. thats where I am with one issue left to the series.

oh and the warpsmith is awesome... I want one, and a dark apostle. just to paint. along with the helldrake.

btw, the revamped white dwarf is bloody nice looking. higher quality too. very nicely laid out, and has a really big high end feel to it, kinda like you'd get with vogue or GQ.

shame they jacked the price up by a £ for it though...

hmmm... will have to see for my self i think with the new WD...

childe its a joke that I have with fellow players.. the guardbook is amazing, and I dont want it to change at all (besides ogryns)

Hope Summers is an adoptive child of sorts. when she was born she was predicted to be the saviour of mutants, so Cable took her to the future to raise and train her ready for the Pheonix return.

lols fair enough... tbh, Guard and SM's don't really need anything doing to them for a new codex... so they may as well do a quick release for them...

and i am totally with you... although she wasn´t that bad in the movie tho she lacked the really bad attitude we have so much fallen in love with in the books

Well as someone said on another thread... the Dark Apostle looks like someone TP's him but I like him

Yeah Cable is another Summers, along with X-man, which is a Summers Child from the age of Apocalypse dimension.

X-man was a very dear character for me... i loved that storyline... and it lead to magneto being the leader of the x-men too... that was what i really wanted to see...
