As I was bored, and the old one was outdated, I decided to update my front page with current ideas and shizz. and to save any of you from scrolling back to look here it is lols:

Right, I Though I might as well start one of these. So, I've been lured back into GW once more with the promise of nice shiney new models, which, tbh I was not disappointed when the new wave of Tyranid's were released.
But enough fanboyisms... The aim of this thread is to catalogue and give a step by step guide on my ideas, background and evolution of my army.
Below are my Army lists, which are all WIP Forgive the rambling that tends to happen on this thread, I'd blame the "league of extraordinary riveters" but Its mostly LDD, RW Vik Panda's and Jackal's fault
So onto the grand plan:
WARHAMMER FANTASY BATTLE:
So recently I decided to revisit my Ogre Kingdoms Army, bringing it into line with the current addition's meta as well as adding conversions to the already existing force.
They are the Slavetaker Tribe along with their Savage Orc allies of the Shattered Peak host. I've expanded on the original idea to give them their own story as well, links below.
I have also begun looking into terrain themed towards both the armies as well as the Darklands themselves, and some general pieces too which will include Storm of Magic Fulcrums.
Again its an evolving army with a lot do to it, which is mostly acquisition of models to replace the ones I used as gnoblars to now make them into slave units known as the Ragtags.

WARHAMMER: 40,000:
Well atm I have a dream... well not so much a dream, more of a short story I am working on built around two forces: Tyranid's and the Protectorate of Calliope.
With this in mind, I am not only building and painting the armies, but also forming my own Imperial Armour style book and at a much later date building the Explorator post on Calliope VI as a gaming board.
Work is slow, but very much happening... even if sometimes it doesnt seem like it
Also, but very much on the back burner, is my Iron warriors and Wych Cult of Stryfe armies.
These need nothing more than painting and a few additional's to be gotten when I get around to it...
which is a long time off as these armies are currently retired undefeated, but they shall return!
Dec 2012: Well recently I decided to pause the Tyranid Invasion... I thought you Humans needed a little time to prepare yourselves for my plate

and well you caliope story is still on my to read list matey...
also the new ogre chapter.... already klicked the link... tho my backlist again has grown to epic proportions^^

The Deathleaper head is its own, with 1mm brass rods cut, filed and bent to shape. The other two use the new plastic Venomthrope heads as a simple and more lively swap.
Thanks for that, I've the same feelings about lictors too, and these are for Deathleapers assassination brood that I'm putting together. Three more to go lol!

Yeah I love this kit despite it having some serious gaps... And also needing a few tweaks to make it more logical... Still can't believe how big it is tbh
Tbh the guns being where the propulsion is makes no sense to me, a midline/midriff alignment seems more natural. Plus, needed to fill the holes from those ridiculous midline tentacles. I seriously don't know what gw were think when they put them there :-/

You actually have been busy of late and impressive stuff now I have to be honest this is not normally my taste in miniatures however I do have some Alien marine styled CDF Miniatures that need a foe and these are inspiring me
I like the combinations you have put together and the spawn looks great, like the tentacles you have added makes it feel more organic nice work
Glad to see you have not lost your skills or sense of humour

Thanks, I was worried the Mucolid wasn't going to look right, but as the gs went off, and the more tweaks I made, the more I was happy with it...

I think it needs the extra wibbly bits down below... otherwise birthing wouldnt be easy and defence less likely imo. those tentacles that were supposed to be higher up looked rediculous for their length too. what the hell were they supposed to hit?

Since my hiatus from Dakka I've managed to update a lot of armies, as well as acquire new ones, what follows is what has happened since my time away:
Dark Eldar: Well, we got a new book recently (ish), so like a true pointy eared bar steward, I've updated the list and bought all I needed to match to have a fully up to date and scary gaming list.

With these guys, its been a long time coming, as they were the first army I ever saw for GW, and they are what made me fall in love with the game.
I must have acquired nigh on 8k of them since being away, though I've yet to do a full tally on that. Most of it includes my super-heavies which total 5Kish,
which are a Phantom Titan, Revenant Titan, 2x Lynx and a Cobra. I'll dig out the list for these guys should anyone be interested.
Current End Goal: 10k, to be joined by the Dark Eldar and rumoured Harlequins Codex to take them to possibly 20k total as a single unified race.
Ogres:
These guys havent seen much action recently unfortunately. I did manage to get a unit of Ogres painted up, so I'll dig them out on request for you to see.
Current End Goal: ???
Undead Legions:
These guys have also been on my collecting wishlist for god knows how long. Now I finally have a decent sized army, along with units to summon,
all thanks to the gorgeous End Times books. The list usually is about 2k, heavily built around Skeletons (blame Ray Harryhausen, he is god of all things film),
with Krell as their leader. I also own Arkhan and Nagash, as well, why not lol. Got a Glotkin vs Nagash game coming up soon, which could be hell or funny as...
Current end goal: 8k.
Tyranids: Well since I was last active, we've not only had a new codex for these guys, but also an awesome supply drop before christmas of much needed models for them.
Naturally my list has changed, and I've also a Harridan and some Malanthropes now to use for them.
Current End Goal: 6k total not including Gargantuans.
