Hehe, I've sent them an email through their site as well. No rush or anything, just a mite curious.

In better news that will hopefully not get me lynched, tomorrow I'll be running a demo game or two at the FLGS!

Well, seeing as this game is very lethal and especially once it gets going, spawns quite a few zombies out of everywhere, I'd say it's a sure thing that some people gonna get eat.

Yeah got mine it's cleared UK customs and with the Post Office. So all the way across the ocean just to be put in the hands of the clowns at Parcel Force! This is the most dicey part of the journey.

I look forward to receiving my flattened and wet copy of the game sometime next month.

Mine says it arrived at the post office and is waiting for customs charges to be paid... plus the £8 for Royal Mail to not actually come and deliver the item to me but instead for me to go to them and pay customs charges

Anyone managed to get theirs without paying customs?

Yep same here and a quick google search works it out as about £20 including the £8 rip off from the post office. which is a crock of crap.

Yeah, I'm really not seeing where they get £8 from... as I say, it is not even as if they bring the bloody thing to my house... they collect it from customs, send it to a depot somewhere within a few miles of my house and stick a slip through my door... kind of like any other package that is too big to fit through the letter box... except they don't bring the package when they put the slip through... and after I and the person sending the package have already paid postage

The map editor is defiantly a good add on, can't wait to see what scenarios people come up with.

That could be the case, I'm still waiting for a reply, so I hope it's just that and not the total redesign of both minis, as that would be a valid reason for me to politely ask for a refund of that part of the funds I gave them.

What if you like the redesign better?

We'll see won't we? I am hoping for the Bride design in the yellow track suit, that's what I paid for.

The map editor is very cool. I like that you can add in the extra tile set if you got it to brainstorm huge missions. I painted up some of mine fast and dirty, we have yet to add blood and detail the bases before a coat of matte but they paint up easy and fun with just base coat and a few washes. Some mold lines but really great models. We are going to paint the survivors together after another weekend of games.

Nice paint jobs, I don't think I will ever get around to painting the zombies, there are almost 100 of them! I might paint up the survivors, but painting any of the zombies will just make the rest look worse unpainted.

£19.12 later (on $30!) I have an ETA of Tuesday.

Zombiecide is not working out as quite the bargain I was thinking it was. Fethin customs, I hope the next two parcels get through okay. The Sedition Wars KS with Studio McVey handling the shipping is thankfully not going down that route.

Played a few four player games yesterday, with omission of the friendly fire rule, which was just too stupid to be used. But all in all it worked just fine. Especially at higher threat levels where some semblance of cooperation finally kicked in, especially when dealing with an Abomination slowly hunting the board since blue level and an ever increasing amount of Runners popping up.

We did find out that El Cholo works great on his own, the controlling player got cut off near the start of the game but managed to work like an assassin / crowd controller, killing off large amounts of zombies on his own with just his pair of starter machetes and certain upgrades such as +1 free combat action and +1 damage with machetes.

I really find that the friendly fire rule works perfect and feels like it is an important factor in the risk/benefit decisions when you move around on the board.

The thing is, when a player has only gotten ranged weapons so far, he first needs to shoot his buddy before he can blast his way out of a group of zeds. If it was randomized, fine. But the way it is now: Survivors first, zeds second is just stupid.

Which just means that you know that you should stay away from zombies because nobody can bail you out .

I was part of the crowd that was pretty iffy on that rule, but it really plays very well. I do recommend playing a few games with the rule intact. I know there are already lots of home rules, but after playing a lot of games it does feel like the designers got it right.

I know that the rule makes it harder, but I have really enjoyed the missions that we lost 3-4 times in a row. You are facing a butt load of zombies, your chances or survival will be small

I look at it this way: with many of the ranged weapons, you would be spraying into a large crowd ((SMGs) or they would have a large scatter (shotguns). When you spray an SMG into a large crowd of zombies with one person in it (who will likely be close together, either because the zombies are approaching them or the survivor is attack the zombies in melee combat), the person will be more affected by any stray bullets. If a zombie is hit in the gut by a bullet, it will likely keep going, but a person will be seriously wounded.

So I think of it as the most vulnerable dying first.
