YES! That settles it--I'm getting some dragons!

They must be balking at the idea of casting so many metal models...

Casting probably not an issue, they have bad ass casters, they can do 75k minis a day (source: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hXxMY1JH8w @ 7:50).

Wow! You can swap Sophie for a $25? That's just crazy good. I didn't really need some big-tittied bike chick for my mini collection. The PC's would have been really suspicious if I shoe horned her into a game.

Polymorph her into a 25 dollar dracolich then Or 20 more orcs.

Wow, that pretty much sells it for me, $25, so i can now get the deep ones and a dragon for the $100 pledge.

The fact that Sophie has become swappable is tempting me to do 2 levels of this.

Tempting... but not yet.
I WILL be looking forward to the new beasties that are coming up though. PLEASE more huge monsters

I have no use for these minis! Must... resist... pledging...

@lord_blackfang: how can you resist a 12" tall Zombie dragon for $100 WITH 200 free extras!!!

@Scarletsquig: Zombie Dragon!! Seriously, who actually wants Sophie now that she is allowed to be swapped out. Cannot wait for more stuff, ironically, I only want the more expensive stuff (as I am only in for the $100 + postage) now as the undead dragon (and maybe the clockwork dragon!!) are the only extras I am getting

Why not the pathfinder red dragon also? It looks pretty good to me. Personally I'm in it for one of everything except the paints. I'll grab 2 cases as well, as at this rate I'll need both to fit all the smaller figs into.

It's not hard to justify a pledge, when you look at what you're getting compared to the existing RRP. Most of the bigger kits are $40 - $60!

I agree, I have zero use for the models from a gaming standpoint. But the painter in me, and the deal seeker in me want this so badly. Beautiful models, in plastic, for little money. What's not to love?

Also, did anyone else watch the Reaper Con metal model production videos? I found it most entertaining and informative. now we just need a better look into the process of mold making for injection molding miniatures.

Gah I still don't know whether to pledge on this or not. I don't have much use for them except for the 1 tree which I could use in Bloodbowl. Could the other be used in Iron Kingdoms?

Is this the biker Sophie everyone is talking about?

And the female frost giant on page 3 looks so amazing I want to come with an excuse to get one.

That is the one being talked about. It is included in the $100 bundle, with an option to exchange it for $25 worth of the addon models.

The option to change out Sophie is what tipped it over from "man, that's an amazing deal, I should probably get it" into "I'll eat ramen for a month or sell a kidney if I have to" territory. I figure anything I don't want to keep will get painted and thrown on ebay, and maybe I'll try out Song of Blades and Heroes with the rest.

Hey, a Hydra. That can be used for WHFB, right? And I bet the GW one isn't $15.

The GW one doesn't look as nice, either, and trying to glue all those metal heads on is a royal pain in the rear.

I'm already in for $200. At this point, I may even just boost my pledge by $50 or so, double up on vampire, and switch out the Sophies to fill in all the big extras. And at that level, I may even skip out on the cases, as it'd be $100+ just in cases in order to get even close to fitting everything. The number of minis in this is pretty much insane. How durable are the minis by themselves? Would it be okay to just invest in some large clear plastic cases to try to fit everything, or is foam really the only way to go?

The minis are extremely durable. You might just need a sack to throw them in depending on how picky you are about your basing.

Ok, so I'm in for the $100 deal, and I want 2 more of the fire packs at $5 each, plus international shipping. I also want to swap out my Sophie biker for another £25 of stuff.

I've made my pledge for the right amount ($135) but where do I specify the options? It down't seem like I can specify anything other than the basic $100 deal.

Does this happen via email afterwards???

This kickstarter has been pretty fun, basically just promised to give someone 100 bucks and once or twice a day they come back and give me more for my 100 bucks. If only everything worked that way

Once the campaign has finished, you should get an email from Reaper with an access code to their pledge manager. That will allow you to specify the specific items that you want to get with your pledge amount. It should happen fairly quick after all the various transactions are complete, as Reaper has it already ready to go (built by Kit - their in-house IT guy).

So is this gonna be the most-funded non-video-game gamer kickstarter so far?

Made in us
Longtime Dakkanaut

Already is.

Now it is after the video games and tech stuff. The next thing on the Top Funded list is the Elevation Dock at $1.464 million (2-3 hours time) and after that it is the Shadow Run Returns video game thing at $1.836 million. That might take until tomorrow to beat.
