Quick reminder that today is the last day of the Sale! Use the code LILA2012 to get 10% off all figures. http://statuesqueminiatures.shop033.com/c/4476307/1/sale-items.html

I've also been having fun over the festive period finishing off the next batch of figures for the printer. Completed are a bad ass Commissar (the Commies are moving in to try and influence the Resistance), a couple of NCO types plus more head and weapon options and some other figures I'm not telling about yet!

Hi folks,

I'm not normally one to show renders of my work but the new Zbrush update came with some snazzy 'cell shaded' render options that I've been playing about with. Please bear in mind I know nothing about the rendering process as I only sculpt for printing!

First up is Commissar Vespera Venko. Some Resistance groups come under the sway of the various political factions in play in the world of Secrets, Spies and Saboteurs. Commissar Venko is tasked with aiding and advising her assigned Resistance Cell.

She will be a two-part casting with an optional gasmask head.

Next are the Resistance Fighter Cell Officers. These figures will be sold together and both feature separate right arms (cut at the handily placed arm-band) that can be swapped between the figures. Doing this actually changes the pose quite considerably, so along with the usual separate heads, these figures should have a lot of posing options. I've also designed a weapon option sprue for even more variety. For later release I have more figures planned that will use this arm sprue, as it provides me with another method of adding variety to the Resistance Fighter range.

I hope to get these, along with some other bits and pieces, off to print this week with production hopefully late January/ early February.

Also, don't forget about the Statuesque Social Media Extravaganza for your change to win some goodies!

I'll leave the cash under the bench in the alcove in the Koningin Astridpark, ok? Non-sequential, unmarked bills. Or I'll pop a little something extra in your next order!

What he said, minus the afford thingy. I'll put in an order when the leader hit, I need some extra birds for a blag that's being planned.

Say what now?!?

I'm in as well - the Legion needs its Operatives, and they might as well be from this group of soldiers!

'Allo 'Allo 'Allo. Wot's all this then! Well, each to 'is own self. Me, I love 'em.

I have some of their S.O.E. Operatives and while they look tiny compared to regular heroic scale hams from GW, they'll go nicely with your true-scales, making them look even more true scale.

That's the idea!

And, I was hoping for a translation from you!

I know what 'birds' is all about, but what's a 'blag'?

Robbery Alph, nothing but a harmless armed robbery with pistols and coshes.

I am interested in the female commissar. I am happy she does not look like a stripper as well.

Thanks guys. While Vespera likes to dress up in high heels, corsets and stockings in her spare time, she decided she needed more sober attire if she were to be taken seriously by the Resistance.

I wouldn't go so far as to say I'm happy about it, but I certainly understand it!

I've been looking for these exact miniatures for years. I will be ordering in the very near future.

I was going to do helmet heads actually. Hmm but gas masks...

On a side note, I think the real reason I'm buying these is I have a strange urge to buy all of the Statuesque minis from the Resistance line and the S.O.E Kill team...

Andrew! Admit it! You've been putting mind control devices in your minis haven't you?

Shhhhhh! Nobody is supposed to know that. It works particularly well on Orlando as hardly anyone buys Inigo, the one and only Statuesque male (for now anyway)!

I'm finding the different head options quite handy for differentiating squads for my gaming; helmets on one squad, berets on another and gasmasks for the kinky death squad! At the moment I'm working on the 'Cracking Hairdo' sprue and, I must say, I'm having a lot of fun. Should've been a hairdresser...

I take it these hairdo heads will be compatible with the 7TV line yes?

If I was going to do an entire Resistance "army" I'd use helmets for the general troops, berets for the sergeants, then the officers for... well officers and yeah gas masks for the kinky death squad.

I think the Statuesque heads are a bit smaller in general than the Crooked Dice ones (at least smaller than the Fembot heads I did, I don't know about Ian Mountain's heads) but they should look good. CD heads on Statuesque bodies might look odd but the other way round could work. I think the CD necks would need trimming a bit.

Well, here's hoping they go with the Daughters of S.H.I.V.A. if not, well, always a use for them elsewhere.

Slightly smaller heads should work ok. With the forced perspective top down view from gameing.

Commissary is looking good. A skorpion esq drum mag on that machine pistol would be good.

These look fantastic! I now know how I am going to beef up my Steel Legion...any chance of a flamethrower optional weapon?

There will be a sprue with a flame thrower on it, if not in the next release, then in the one after that. I need flamer throwers for my gaming too!

It's not a traditional flame thrower in Andrews fluff, but would Lila do ?
