I don't foresee myself moving but the issue is more that I don't have any way to predict where I will be in my wargaming life/mindset then. Because I'm in such a state of flux in my search for a game that I don't want to tie myself down to 20 models in half a year. I'll likely forget that I ordered them after the bunch of releases next month.

Imagine how suprised and delighted you'll be when they show up on your doorstep.

If my only worry was to be tied to 20 such beautiful models... gaming would be pretty sweet.

Shape looks good, although the stormtrooper next to it outshines it for me (guess that's why I'm getting so many!)

Only thing I do not like is the stems coming off the back, they look too tyranidish, or eldarish. Otherwise it looks great.

They have four stunted wings that they fold down and slide into the armor projections.

Interesting. I think that you need something like those "vents", in order to balance out the head's extension to the rear.

My question is about the skirt/kilt; would you cast that as a single solid piece, or are you leaning towards it being a more layered affair?

Looks good, but the stormtrooper is cooler.

I understand, cool explanation, but just the same look on the back as the old hive tyrant. I think the tyrant had six though.

For fluff purposes... because some are interested in expanding this for you (hint):

Are the Shadokesh Arthopods (complete with exoskeleton, or simply Octopods (vertebrates with 8 limbs)?

The feral seems to suggest the latter, tbh, but I just want to make sure.

I'd prefer the ends of those wing cases to be reworked a little to be honest. They just look a little too similar to GW Eldar backpacks to me. Even just making the ends spherical would be a massive improvement in my mind.

However, as I'm currently more likely to be playing Eisenkern anyway, it's no biggie. (And even if I do end up getting a Shadokesh force later on, it's no big deal to make the ends spherical anyway. I have loads of plastic BBs left from airsoft weapons.)

In the artwork, definately. The 3D render, less so. (IMO)

Haven't really had a chance to check in here much, lately - has the pledge manager been sent out yet?

Also, the Shadokesh does indeed look very cool.

The shadowkesh is very cool. Menacing, and definitely not "evil space elf." I like how tall it is; helps avoid the "humans in makeup" look that so many aliens have. As sad as it makes my wallet to say this, I would definitely be interested in some of these.

I'm slightly concerned about their robe.

Usually with legs you can rotate the torso or change the angle a little to give the illusion of variety, it looks like with this sort of design you won't be able to do such a thing, which worries me a little.I think special attention needs to be given to making sure there are plenty of leg variations

also I think the fingers should be longer and creepier

Seeing as this is just one model for the KS, I'm not sure how many leg variations can be made.

I'm sure there will be a full range of models in the Shadowkesh kickstarter.

I don't see a problem with the KS only Shadokesh, and am sure that the Shadokesh KS, when it gets produced, will include plenty of leg options judging from the leg options available for the Eisenkern troops.

However, I asked Mark if there was a possibility of getting female seated legs for people who wanted to do a squad of Black Widows in an APC (I have plans to do a full squad of 10 inside a black APC with a red hourglass symbol on the roof) and the reply I got was ....dissapointing.

"Mark Mondragon says:

Hi Gary, good question. I need to remember that when it comes time to make the legs. I wont have enough seated legs for the whole set but it would be nice to offer a couple of them in the set so you can have some mixed in."

I don't mind paying extra for a full set of 10 seated female figures, or even for a set of 10 seated female legs, but I would like to know how much it would cost before I go through the pledge manager. After all, if all I can get are the seated legs, I will need to get two sets of Black widows so I can use the arms, torsos, heads, etc to complete the seated variants.

How many APCs would I need to order (I have already pledged for 3, so I hope that will be enough to make 2 male troop variants and 1 female.) so that I can get enough parts to ensure I can make 1 of them a dedicated BW transport?
