Those Mutilators are really finecast? Why? They have less fine detail than the existing shooty Oblits. Really look cartoony in their broad details.

That's almost as bad as making Tau rail-guns in finecast.

I think that if a new named character would be out we would have rumors earlier for that.

Take the Tomb king Necrosphinx and the 4 legged deamon thingy's guns and ..... done, awsome conversion, also the Deamon engine look ok, the raptors lood amazing and its bloody idiotic if GW does not update the big 4 kits (world eaters etc).

Also everyone who says "too warped" of "too diferent"... seriously?? we have all been saying for years that CSM are just spiky marines and now GW goes all out and give you mutated wierd looking marines... you complain... gota love the net lol.

But I do agree on one thing though, stop with the crap cartoon chaos, go back to the dark nasty 3.5 ones, that book looked and felt.... sinister, current 40k chaos are a joke.

Mate I think that bad models and ugly GW casts was never our problem.
If we don't like something we either convert it or we use another model.
I think that the dark apostle, the warsmith and the warp talons are ok and look nasty.
For the rest new models I agree with you. I don't think that the price can be compared to the model quality.
Overall I m happy with the new dex. If I don't like something I simply don't buy it and I try to find something similar.
For example I hate GW wood elf treeman, I never bought them, I just bought he lotr ents.

After looking over some of the leaked White Dwarf pics, it looks like the codex is 29 Euros, not 39.

Although looking at how X-TREME the new Raptors are... I'm not sure I want them to.

Dragon is ridiculous, codex price point is ridiculous.

Ah! Ok, I wasn't going to get any of the new Raptors, but I have found a use for them - Black Crusade/Deathwatch. I can individualise them and make 'em look like characters befitting their over-designed bling.

Yeah, you can see it at the bottom of that scan you posted, looks like it's a plastic sprue like the ones we have been seeing for fantasy...

I'm just guessing as that WD scan with all the releases doesn't have the dreaded finecast yellow strip of doom on the bottom of the packaging. Hopefully that squashes the rumour of "No plastic characters for 40k"

I think people have a right to be disappointed. These new Daemon Engines are nothing compared to the FW ones. Even the fairly static Defiler/Soul Grinder are much better in terms of quality and aesthetic. It's nice to get new rules and new things, you don't need to be grateful to GW for it.

I can't tell, the image is to fuzzy. If true this will be a bit more reasonable. I'd grumble about the price but I could bring myself to pay 29 rather than luaghing at the more obsured 39 and walking out. At least it brings it down to a believable level rather than pulling an Austin Powers and asking for a bajillion dollars.

I think the new daemon-engins are on the right track. The Defiler just looked like a crab-tank, no daemon stuff about it at all, and the Soul Grinder went too far on the daemon scale. I think the new ones are a nice mix of the two. They don't look as good as I thought, but they're a lot better than nothing.

As for not being grateful to GW for new rules and new models, I think that yeah, we should be grateful to them for it and it's incredibly entitled and whiney to say that we don't have to be grateful to a company for updating an army we like.

edit: Those CC Oblits do look pretty boring, though. Totes not getting them.

There has been for awhile, but I think many of the later rumors were those of the Hell Brute.

It does confirm that there aren't plans for new CMS power armour; but does free up the berzerkers for a redo at some point in the future

These are by far the best sonic weapons GW has produced. From the two different they ve ever done right?
