For the most part, I really like your taste - you chose real actors, not gakkers like Cruise. I like Bana, but I don't picture him as a Horus... Hugh Jackman could play a good Horus.

Vin Diesel would make a decent Angron.

I despise Leman Russ, but Jason Momoa would make a good one... or a good Angron.

Yeah I wasnt sold on Bana as Horus but couldnt really think on who else
Jackman perhaps could pull it off

Not too sure about Diesel as Angron although I do think Jason Momoa would be a good choice as Angron

Only way this movie could go properly would be in a style similar to Beowulf. Film the actors and enhance with CGI. Needs to look slightly unreal and be able to enhance/distort an actor's likeness and properly size their body to superhuman proportions. Only need their heads and voices really.

I want this thread to go to ten million posts and get stickied until GW gets off their asses and gets this done.

MOAR EDITZ: Statham for Loken! Give him a little hair (remembrancer commented he went shaggy after a while). Whos gonna play the rest of the Mournival?

Yeah there would be a lot of CGI involved to get the proportions correct

This movie will never be made. IP issues and all of that
Also it took GW how long to decide to make primarch models??? And only one is out so far!!!

oh and not too sure about the rest of the Mournival but i reckon Michael Fassbender as Sigismund

The Cage montage was great...best post I've read today.

I'd actually prefer a well done CGI movie instead of a live action movie...think of the level of CGI in the World of Warcraft cinematics for each expansion. Something on that level would be amazing and not out of place with the amount of CGI that would be required for the movie.

There's a ton of excellent voice talent that doesn't age like physical actors do, so they'd be able to potentially make a franchise out of it without having to necessarily worry about replacing actors.

I out with in both 40k and WHFB.

Torgaddon should be somebody able to provide a joking contrast to the Loken character. Yes, we can fit some laughs into 40K.

Sam Neill as Malgohurst!

I think Jason Flemyng was who I had for Torgaddon. I did this a while back too.

Currently reading Mechanicum & I picture Dalia Cythera as Radha Mitchell (maybe 10 yrs ago, like pitch lack days)

"Within microseconds, the post-hypnotic implants in the subconscious portions of his brain were already running the pre-deployment checks, and the insides of his eyeballs lit up with telemetry data, weapon readiness status, fuel levels and a million other nuggets of information that would allow him to command this beautiful, wonderful Titan. 'How do you feel?' asked the the adept and Jonah laughed. 'It's good to be the king,' he said."

hmm I like Ron Perlman but I wouldn't cast him as Magnus the red....I think he looks more like a Mortarion

and Ken Wannatabe would be a great Khan!

Sean Bean as Corax or Ferrus Manus (cause he dies) lol

I pretty much think all of the original OPs choices are excellent and would be hard to improve upon although the Ron Perlman choice bothers me for Magnus. I was thinking maybe Gary Oldman in that role.

Other characters we would need are the Mournival and of course some other key folks from the Heresy. I can picture the following in some of the roles:

I was thinking Tim Roth or Ray Park as Lucius

Kiefer Sutherland as Torgaddon

Sean Bean as Saul Tarvitz

Jason Isaacs as Erebus

Hugh Jackman as Loken

Ben Foster as Little Horus

I like your choices above especially Jason Isaacs as Erebus!!

Sorry my buddy saw this thread over my shoulder and told me that. Made us both laugh so hard I had to share it.

The actors that play traitor primarchs have to be able to pull off seeming really awesome and together, but then later on totally insane. Tough job. I think eric bana is good choice for horus. He seems like a cool guy, and in that photo of him at the top he looks seedy as haha.

Liam Neeson as the Emperor, or Kiefer Sutherland. Whoever doesn't get the Big E gets to be Horus. High Jackman could play Corax or Kurze. He set the standard for 1; Lightning Claws 2; Adamantium as Wolverine. He has the Job skills.

But in all honest Ben Stiller should be Lorgar. He plays psychotics so well.
