For heaven's sake grab a mining laser and a lappack, set the mode to explosive and fire away, just not at anyone's stuff.

JB: I like the concept of a free Shrike roaming through the treetops of the jungle. I'm not sure that I like the idea of a real Shrike sitting on my couch eating my Skittles.

Well I just spent about an hour cleaning up great mountains of lava created by an experiment. My building was pretty much covered in the stuff lol. Automatically Appended Next Post: I think my next project will be auto reloading explosive laser turrets that rise from the ground.
Only downside is the explosive laser setting is pretty short range.

Yeah, only trouble is for the auto reloader you have to manually set the mining laser to explode mode.

My hv solar array machine seems to keep crashing tekkit for me.
I turn it on and about 10-20 seconds later I get "Internal exception: java.net.SocketException: Connection Reset"

I cant be expected to manually make things in tekkit, sheesh.
Seems weird though, its only done it today and I havent changed anything. Automatically Appended Next Post: Seems to be fine now.
Lesson of the day: Dont set timers to less than 700ms.

this is probably more apropriate here than anywhere but i am running a minecraft Feed the Beast mod (FTB) server, i have 12 spaces and am using 5 of them and would like some people who know what there doing and will be respectful of the fact that at this point in time i am offering a server, without pluggins as a free service and not do any of the greifing stuff, so if you want the whitelist and other info PM me.
for the record while i am here i will be starting a new world when the red power mod is added to benefit from the red power terain generation. and according to the latest word that will happen within the next week or so

I know, EE3 will be totally different, but, really, it was already really OP as it was...
And every other major mod will be 12x better!
Though BC quarries will load chunks, a max size quarry force-loads 25 chunks

i for one highly doubt that there will ever be an update for tekkit again with FTB out, since FTB has full support of the mod makers they can fix bugs alot faster and compramise for the overall balance of the mod, also since FTB currently has IC, BC, forestry, gregtech, railcraft, thaum craft, mysticraft (the list goes on) and is soon getting Red power and EE3 added in my opinion when it is finished it will be a more complete and better supported package than tekkit ever was.

And I might actually play the Modded server if Thaumcraft is put on.
It'd almost be necessary for the modmakers to add Silverwood Saplings, though. Or for anyone who finds an area of Taint to Report It Immediately for containment (cobblestone or wood planks work for that, but it's better done by multiple people for speed).

Thaumcraft is utter crap x.x, especially with spreading corruption. Really doesn't work for MC.

IMO FTB has already replaced tekkit because FTB is running on the latest version of minecraft and is receiving massive support from LP'ers and the minecraft community as a whole, also the voxel mod pack has jumped ship to the FTB launcher.
the only problem i have is that the launcher is a bit meh and since FTB is still in beta they do alot of updated verry quickly that means you shouldnt get too attached to your stuff, but i am willing to live with it
