Right, I did say the Abnett-verse. And it's not a retcon, it's a separate canon.

Why would a being cloned from the emperor only have 1 eye in the middle of his forhead at birth? He gave it up to save his legion as someone has already said, it makes way more 'sence' that way.
Back on topic, i an really looking forward to seeing Leman Russ with me being a woolfie and all. it will be interesting to put his original model (which i have) and the new one side by side. I can see Mortarion looking a bit like a Sontarin from Dr. Who

Probably the ones who have had no official picture of them yet:
-Vulkan
-Konrad Curze
-Lion El'Jonson
-Alpharius
On top of sculpting these guys, they also have to make the first real visual appearance of them.

Right, I did say the Abnett-verse. And it's not a retcon, it's a separate canon. Considering Forge World have said they're working with Black Library to get fluff, appearances and characters consistent, and even the appearance of Loken, I'd say you're going to be disappointed. They're following the Black Library books, not the old fluff. As ever with 40k, it's not going to be canon if you don't want it to be, but it doesn't mean they're not doing it.

Abnett-verse? The very post you just quoted stated that abnett has NOTHING to do with magnus having at one point had 2 eyes. And yes it is a retcon. Not seperate canon.

Canon is what the company says it is. They have said magnus now has 2 eyes. Fans do not dictate what is and what is not canon. The company does. Just because someone thinks klingons are stupid and shouldn't be canon does not make all star trek episodes involving them now somehow incorrect. Just because someone thinks magnus should be an actual cyclops and ignore the obvious influence of norse mythology that the story has (odin trading his eye for knowledge, ravens, blah blah) does not make it correct. It makes them stubborn.
Basically to sum it up, There is no "abnett-verse" (which I still think is funny even being mentioned when like i said he had nothing to do with it) There is 40k canon, and "Darknesseternal-verse".

i think the Daemon primarchs will be the most interesting to see, assumign they do them.
I think there is some form of artwork for each primarch floarting around.
But artwork of the Daemon primarchs? I have only seen pictures of Fulgrim and Mortarion i think...and the 40k Epic Magnus.

Hardest one to make? Forge World seems pretty good at making stuff so the hardest one will be the one whose appearance is the least established. People like Magnus, Sanguinius, Fulgrim and Horus have these universal, unique looks that help you pick them out in a crowd, but if I did a piece of fan art of, say, Alpharius, I'd have to tell you it was him.

Alpharius will be hard to do, considering he is supposed to look like all the other marines in his Legion. I think that when they do release it, many will complain he doesn't look epic enough.

I've always thought it would be cool to give Alpharius a rule where at anytime he can replace a friendly sergeant on the board "No, I am Alpharius".

I think the Alpharius set should be 5 models, each of which looks different. The description being "The Primarch of the Alpha Legion, Alpharius Omegon. He may be one of these, none of these, or all of these".

Alpharius and Omegeon could be quite interesting to do actually, one could be in full power armour as the legions head figure (wasn't there in a line in the Alpha legion BL book to the effect of Omegeon enjoying being Alpharius when dealing with the other Primarchs?) The second could be in more... non descript clothing, there was an example of one of the twins going around in pretty much heavy rags and robes, almost pretending to be a combat servitor or some such.
I'm still reading through Legion, but Alpharius is wearing normal Alpha Legion Power Armor, and as does Omegon (in black armor).

How do you make him stand out, even against the Primarchs, and not go down some silly Christmas-tree route that most third-party makers seem to favour. Or if they do a Christmas-tree-bling-Emperor, I'll probably not like it.
I guess, to a lesser degree, all loyalist "main-stream" Primarchs (Guilliman, Dorn, Lion, etc..) run the danger of falling to the silly Christmas-tree symptom.
