Last question - anyone know if they'll be a post-KS Pledge Manager way to add funds on to your pledge?

There's a difference - but I'd still like some clarity before committing!

From the FAQ:
"The Rotten Level Pledge can be traded for $40 worth of add-on credit to be spent on add-ons."

Lawmen are add ons...

Those tooling costs are BS. They've already, at the very least, got the Enlightened HHs tooled and cast.

And those cards...man, they have so much in there. Why the hell did they change th model portrait shape? That big square box with a circular life track looks terrible. PICK. A. SHAPE.

I think it has been said that there will be a time period after the end of the KS to add extra funds. Just looking to see if I can find the post.

I expect so. Otherwise how will they know which add-ons you want? Also, I don't see Romeo as being the type to refuse more money.

OK, that wasn't my last question - this one is!

How do the Merc Crew work?

Separate faction?

Add on to any other faction?

Not sure how many I'd want to pick up now, as opposed to later...

I think in the long run this game will succeed as look at Infinity (10 years to get to this point), or Malifaux (5 or 6 years) as it takes a while to build up the overall. Now I don't think this will be overly huge as if it was then the kickstarter would be like the ones around $1million in sales, but I think it's a great start. Down the road I will buy into it but atm I just can't justify the cost.

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!

The Merc crew work as sidekicks so they can be fielded with any faction, there may be a Boss coming further down the line.

Resin barricade terrain is Outlaw Miniatures.
HDF stuff + Bike pad + Power generator is MAS's

Train is O gauge apparently, but it is a purpose built track to accommodate the train.

That did help - thanks!

I would have like to have used Rulebook trade-in credit towards models, but apparently that's not allowed.

That will probably keep me at 'Wicked' instead of 'Fiendish'...

The trade in FAQ:

Trading your rewards is very easy with Wild West Exodus. The first thing to remember is that all trading will happen during the survey that is emailed out at the end of the campaign. Kickstarter does not allow for modifications to the pledge levels once they are posted. As the project creators we can update graphics with the latest unlocked rewards but we can not change the text listed under the pledge level wording on the right side of the screen. This is to prevent project creators from advertising a reward as being something and then lowering the rewards in the level at the end of the campaign. It is basically a safety system to guarantee that the backers get what they pledge for.

In our kickstarter our graphic is always correct so if the pledge level graphic says you are getting 4 of something but the text on the right says 3, please know you will get 4. The graphic is always right.

As for trades the policy is simple. We will allow like model trades for like model trades. We will also allow like model rewards such as books to be traded for like model printed media. Below you will find a list of examples on what can be traded and for what.

Extra box sets of Hired Hands can be traded for box sets of Hired Hands Wave 1 or Wave 2.

Starter boxes are not considered simply hired hands because they will be packaged differently. All starters come with Wave 1 Hired Hands and those cannot be traded for Wave 2. This would break the packaging and cause major slowing in the shipping of the models.

Whole starters sets can be traded for whole starter sets but all starters come with Wave 1 Hired Hands

Heavy Weapon Hired Hands can be traded for other Heavy Weapon Hired Hands. These are resin models and will be produced in the US. A starter that features a heavy weapon hired hand can be swapped just for the wave 2 version of that hired hand in the same faction.

Light Support Choices Wave 1 can be traded for Light Support Choices Wave 1

Light Support Choices Wave 2 can be traded for Light Support Choices Wave 2

If you would like to trade Light Support Choices Wave 1 for Wave 2 it would require you to trade in 3 of the Wave 1 models for 1 of the Wave 2 models.

Heavy Support Choices can be traded for Heavy Support Choices

Micro Art Terrain Sets and bases can be traded for Micro Art Terrain Sets, or for Bags, or for Models of equal value.

Rule Books can be traded for Art Books, Mini Rule Books, or printed art prints, aka posters.

The Rotten Level Pledge can be traded for $40 worth of add-on credit to be spent on add-ons. This credit cannot be used against your pledge total to give you an additional discount. This is not allowed by Kickstarter. You also cannot pledge for Rotten and get the trade in value. The Trade In Value of $40 is only allowed if you have Rotten as part of one of your pledge levels. This credit must be spent on Model Add-Ons Only. The full amount must be traded in for the credit and cannot be broken up into smaller credits.

Boss Models can be traded for Boss Models (This means wave 1 bosses for weave 2 bosses)

Underboss Models can be traded for Underboss Models (This means wave 1 underbosses for wave 2 underbosses)

Sidekick Models can be traded fro Sidekick Models (This means wave 1 sidekicks can be traded for wave 2 sidekicks)

(Mercs are now considered sidekicks so they fall under the sidekick trading rules.)

Ladies Of The West can be traded for Dark Council Models or Spirit Totems or Civilians. The same can be reversed.

If the models being traded require an additional cost to be added the pledge must be increased to cover this. Example - Backer A wants to trade in the Starter Box Gen Grant standard pose model for Abe Lincoln. Backer A can do this at no extra charge and would request this during the survey at the end of the kickstarter.

The WWX terrain also known as Barricades set 1 and Barricades set 2 can be swapped for only Barricades sets. These are not made by Micro Art Studios so they cannot be swapped for buildings or or bases.

Example - Backer B wants to trade out Alt Sculpt Jesse James Boss for Eiffel and Spider Construct. Backer B would need to add an additional $11 to cover the difference in price between the Alt Sculpt Jesse James and the Eiffel model. This would also mean that backer B would not get the Alt Sculpt of Jesse James because he used that to trade towards Eiffel.

That's what I did. I snagged an EB Fiendish, so its 76 models, +$40 in credit for $205. Which is pretty good for a niche setting that isnt MOAR ORCS/ELVES/SPACE MARINES. If the game is good or catches on, thats just gravy. These guys would work well in Deadlands, Hell on Earth, Malifaux RPG's.

Thanks to all the guys on DakkaDakka for giving this new community a chance to grow within YOUR community.
I know that this may have been tough for many on here initially and some may still have problems with it. But I am glad
that we are at least speaking and perhaps in the future we may throw dice on the floor together.

Although we started on rocky terms, I think we have learnt a lot from each other, at least I do believe I have.
Hopefully we can enjoy our time on DakkaDakka in a more relaxed atmosphere now that the Kick Starter has ended
and I am not so stressed with organising things and responding to multiple conversations at once and trying to sort out trade questions.
Sometimes the easiest of questions become hard if you answer the same question for long enough. hehe

I would most of all like to thank Alfndrate, as if it wasn't for you, all the negative thoughts would have gone unanswered and remained as such
throughout the whole Kickstarter. If it wasn't for your constant dialogue and willingness to challenge the different viewpoints, I am sure a lot of the positive aspects of the
last 3 weeks would have gone unnoticed. So thanks for sticking with us.

Mick

Hey Mick,

You should definitely stick around. I know WWX has its own dedicated forums, but it never hurts to keep spreading the word about the game you love on bigger sites like Dakka. So especially when you get some models painted up you should put some pics of them in our gallery, show them off in the painting and modeling forums, etc.

And as always, if the WWX conversation in our miscellaneous game forum gets to a point where it is becomes feasible, we could certainly open a dedicated WWX forum here on Dakka as well.

So many early bird pledges ended up being available! 16 folks at Corrupt spending $999 had a chance to save $44 if they'd just checked the page anytime late this afternoon, and 15 folks at Repulsive had a chance to save $10 (a whopping 11 spots open on that early bird).

The second one doesn't matter quite so much at only $10, but for $44 I'd have checked that page . I'm guessing folks just couldn't due to it ending while they were still at work or the like.

Good to see a campaign like this hit all the goals they had in sight at the end (I don't think there was anything listed after 325K until almost 400K) and finish strong. It made $65,500 and got 168 new backers in the last 2 days (and I'm even not sure how complete the final day was on kicktraq). You wouldn't know that from some of the posts on here but I consider this campaign to be pretty wildly successful for a game no one had ever even heard or thought of more than a few months before it started! As always, if it's got good rules and sculpts, people will flock to it. Will be interesting to see how it fares in the medium run

Pledge money bounced around a lot the last 20 minutes; over $332,000 then under $332,000 and then back up about 10 times.

I went from Wicked to EB Wicked to EB Fiendish to Shameless in the last two days and I'm sure there are others who did similar things which opened up a lot of the EB pledges at the end.

Also folks were dropping pledges to lowers one to get x2 or x3 of some other level. Whatever they were trying to optimize I guess. Seems like a lot of wasted models unless you planned on selling some considering you can only use one of most boss, underboss, or sidekick.

They had their plans though so it's their business. Like was said, too bad others werent able to save a few bucks by dropping to the early bird pledges.

Sure that's doable? I thought you could pledge for 1x wicked or 1x fiendish or whatever, then add some addons. Didn't think you could get 3x fiendish.

I never advocated it, but lots were sure you could. What's the difference between 3 guys getting 1x a pledge level an 1 guy getting 3x a pledge level(besides increased traffic placing it on "popular this week" more often and the appearance that the game was more popular)? As long as the pledge level wasn't limited, I'm sure it wasn't a big deal. I think the only thing you wouldn't get was the mystery backer model with multiple packages.
