- Gun can choose from three different ammo types, Arcane Interference (eEiryss' ability), Energy Siphon (hit a model with a focus or fury point, they lose a point, you gain a fury), and Paralysis (living model becomes DEF 7 and can't run or charge)
Has Sacrifice Bog Trogs, basically if Rask is killed, a Bog Trog within his command of 5 will be killed instead and he will heal a damage point.

Spells:

Admonition (model can move 3" if an enemy model ends it's movement within a certain distance)

Boundless Charge (charge for free and gain +2 SPD and Pathfinder)

Fury (+3 Melee damage to model/unit, minus 1 DEF)

Inhospitable Ground (Control area becomes rough terrain)


Feat:

Friendly Faction models currently in Rask's control area cannot be targeted with attacks or charges made by models more then 5" away.



Archangel

Stats:
SPD 6 STR 14 MAT 6 RAT 5 DEF 11 ARM 18 CMD 7
20 Points, Fury 4
One P&S 19 Bite with Consume (remove from play, small base models) and 2 P&S 17 Claws
Gun is RNG 10 AOE 3 POW 14, with Strafe (D3+1 attacks at a Primary target and any number of secondary targets within 2"), and Crit Fire
46 Hit Boxes

Animus - Draconic Aura - End within 2" of the model with this animus, get set on fire, no word on whether it is a self animus or you can toss it.


Warpborn Alpha

Stats = Same and Skinwalkers
UA for Skinwalkers
Points cost 3
Tactics: Rapid Strike (allows the unit to make a second melee attack)
Granted: Blood Drinker (After boxing a living model, you can end your combat action to heal D3 damage boxes)



Also, at Warmachine Weekend, it was confirmed that each hordes faction will get roughly 5 choices including the Gargantuans already stated. Warlocks will be Grim2, Lilith3, Makeda3, Morvanna2, Rask, and unnamed Farrow Warlock.

The PP boards say that Draconic Aura is RNG: Self, which seems to be correct.

You know a faction's evil when it's unclear whether their "Willbreaker" is breaking the will of the enemy, or their own fighters.

Hmm. Apart from never wanting to have to fight that gun, I think I'm struggling to see what that Gargantuan brings to EB that two heavies don't. I mean, I don't like Everblight, but that one seems a little... light. Even compared to the Wold Wrath. That one at least has a solid gun, an effect on its fists, and a huge animus, even if a little fiddly.

The Archangel is... well, at least it forces you to commit your heavies to kill it as opposed to an infantry swarm.

its Animus clears out infantry that attempt to come close.

Heavy Infantry will still put a hurt on it though.

Actually, the animus failing to clear out infantry is one of the biggest points of contention for the archangel. They don't take damage until the turn after they are set on fire, a full two turns after the animus is used. Infantry can charge it just fine; and with being able to shoot it in melee it could easily be finished off.
I'm not saying infantry are the best answer to an archangel or that he's a bad beast, just that the animus is REALLY bad and provides no real protection.

That is what I was thinking, Dais. By the time the fire kills my bane thralls, or whatever infantry you are running, Archangel will already be dead. And I will have traded an 8 point unit for a 20 point one. And with such a big base I can pretty much get as many banes as needed into CC. Odds are that some of the fire will go out so some will likely survive.

From what I am seeing so far I am not impressed by Archangel much. But my friend is going to get him so I will find out how he plays soon enough!
