I agree. That iron halo thing over his head is completely impractical- what if he needs to dive and roll during combat?- disastrous.

Well, he is meant to stand out and inspire the traitors. Besides, why bother to dive and roll when you can just grab a cultist?

Is it me or does he look like he has toilet paper stuck all over him from the stall?

I remember reading an interview with the sculptor (Morley I think) and he agrees with you. The end result we all hate so much was actually a crappy version he made to prove a point, and GW went with it instead of the better, less-clown like original.

LOL! Actually, that never dawned on me... but now that you mention it... in the bin he goes.

The haft on the crozius thing is (and has nearly always been) ridiculous. I don't' care how strong he is... a grot with a broom stick could knock that thing out of his hand. I'm guessing that somewhere in the depths of GW that design on the outside of the haft has become cannon & their sculptors aren't good enough to do it on a normally sized handle.

The problem is their decision to use finecast. Finecast resin is particularly flimsy and bendy, and any thin parts warp terribly. Thats why the paper on the 'purity seals' is so thick, and why the haft of his weapon is so thick. Any thinner, and they'd never come out of the mold in an acceptable state.

Yay for finecast, I guess.

YOU SHUT YOUR MOUTH!

Seriously though, I think the Vostroyans better fit the 40K imagery than any other Imperial Guard force, and I'll be collecting them after my Nurgle force is up and running. But then, I think the Stormtalon looks cool so what do I know?

I love Vostroyans.

The worst model by far in 40k is Tau XV8, imo.

From the initial Age of Sigmar news thread, when its "feature" list was first confirmed:

That model at least has some 80's charm and character. The current Chaos dragon unfortunately, has no redeeming features.

And I'm sad to say the Stormraven has actually grown on me. I bought one today... :(

Given the whole fluff around this guy as a mystic overlord who watches the stars, I expected something like an astronomer or something akin to a wizard-character, not some cyclopean robot-monkey wearing a bagel around his face jumping over rocks with an enourmous whippy tail between his legs. The only redeeming feature about it is the little scarabs on the rocks but the rest is atrocious.

I'll jump on the Sister Dialogus train.

Are those badly sculpted goggles or insanely badly sculpted eyes? Is that a 25mm base she's standing on? She covers maybe a fifth of that, so the model itself is too slim. What's the thing around her neck?

I'm surprised she gets to be a SoB HQ, because she clearly isn't human.

Edit: And oh yes, the Vampire Counts Bat Swarm.
