I regret not being buying the phoenix armor kit and maybe the flower knight, but the retail prices are likely to be too bonkers to consider.

Anyway, do you guys think $25 plus shipping is too much to ask for for all of the non-miniature items from the dragon king? I've looked at eBay and Boardgame geek but not seen anything immediately analogous. Also, the rulebook is flatter but still a bit wrinkly--will that matter a lot to most buyers? I know Adam must be bleeding money on this project, so I am a bit hesitant to ask for a replacement.

Given all the cards involved, I would say $25 would be a fair price for the non-miniature items.

The armor kits seem to pop up on eBay for around 20 to 30 from backers who ended up with too many armor kits if you're determined to hunt down some armor sets.

I've had the desire to hoard armor kits for building up tons of people (especially for skirmish games), but considering I haven't even dipped into my armor kits yet, I haven't succumbed to the madness that is eBay yet.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Not unexpectedly, I have the Spidicules leg issue. Really wish Adam would put an Update on this one.

First class postage is expensive because of weight. Priority Mail is flat rate based on box size so it may actually be cheaper.

Note that USPS Priority Mail and Express Mail have flat rate boxes; however, if it doesn't fit, you pay by weight & dimwt, just like anybody else.

Received mine today as well and had planned on listing an expansion or two on eBay to partake heavily in Miniature Markets sale. Way too much Sophie's Choice once I started going through the rule book for each one, so guess I'm keeping them all. Will start a new campaign Monday and need to figure out which one I want to add in.

Thanks to Dakka, I now have the correct legs and can build my Spidicules.

The rest of you should try and arrange trades with other members here so you don't have to wait on Adam to come up with a fix.

The Facebook group has a nice picture to identify the leg sprues:

I also have 2x sprue C and it seems like most of the people on BGG do as well. Maybe they made a bunch of the wrong one rather than just a packing mistake?

For those thinking of magnetizing their survivors: I magnetized at the wrists and necks. It worked out pretty well, though it is a pain to glue those tiny magnets onto the tiny hands, especially ones with small weapons. And it's been a bit of a pain to paint them. You can see how I magnetized mine, with some pictures, here: http://adventuresinminiaturegaming.blogspot.com/2016/01/magnetizing-kingdom-death-monster.html

Here are some tips:
The magnets I used in the wrists were 1/16" diameter x 1/32" thick, and anything bigger that that would be too big. For the necks I used 1/16" diameter x 1/16" thick because I already had some of that size. But any bigger diameter than that wouldn't fit.

What I did, is cut off most of the little nib that sticks off the hands to form the wrist, then file it down flat. Then I used super glue to attach the magnet to the flattened part. It helps a lot to scratch up the magnet and the part of the hand you are gluing it to with a steel file. This helps the glue hold better.

Gluing those tiny little magnets to those tiny little hands was definitely the tricky part of all this. And take care to make sure you are gluing the magnets the right way! They have to match up based on which way you glue the magnets into the forearms, so I used a sharpie to mark the side I was going to glue, so I wouldn't get it turned around when I inevitably dropped the little magnet.

Another useful thing I did was, for the left forearms I glue the north side of the magnet facing out, and the right forearms I glued the south side facing out. The hands are then opposite. This way, once everything is glued together, pairs of hands (one right and one left) can be stored attached to each other, since their magnets will be opposite polarities. I did a similar thing with male heads vs female heads having different polarities so one of each can be stuck together for storing.

No, they made the right number of each. It's just that they've been shipping from the "double "C" pile first. There will be plenty of "double B" soon enough.

The thing is that people need to look and check, and agree on notation so that everybody can clearly describe what they have, and what they want. The Facebook group did that with the picture I spoilered.

I guess I'll be finding out what Spidicules sprue I've got tonight.

Do any of you have leftover bits from the armor kits you won't be using? I'm especially interested in hands and weapons and some of the more interesting heads. Also, are the Wyrd Malifaux plastics in roughly the same scale as Kingdom Death?

Now to respond to something from the other thread. (Sorry, Alpharius. Threads get confusing.)

That said, while the female Dragon survivor is a truly great mini, the male dragon survivor is kind of a dud. I'm not just saying that because he looks like George McFly eating a Keanu Reeves sad sandwich, but also because his only build pose looks so defeated and his outfit comes straight out of the worst Star Trek episode of all time.

I disagree. I got a set of 20 dragon armor survivors in wave two and they can be built with dramatic poses, albeit with minimal motion. I included a trio of my male dragon armor survivors below. They are unpainted except for airbrushed skin but that should be unimportant to convey the poses.

Also, I got a shipping notice yesterday for a small wave 3 shipment so they may be nearing the end in North America.

I was talking about the two slaves? survivors? who come on the same sprue as the human Dragon King. The woman comes with two pairs of arms which allow for many poses, but the man comes with one set build where his arms hang dejectedly by the side of his muumuu/barbershop poncho.

I completely agree with you about the amazing Dragon Armor kits. I managed to assemble the legs and torsos before spending the rest of my hobby time staring at the sprue trying to figure out which weapons I wanted to use on which minis. Someone earlier compared it to Sophie's Choice, and they nailed it.

So, if you have 20 sets, that means you'll have a lot of spare, unused bits left over, right? Would you be interested in trading or selling them?

Kingdom Death Armor Kits have brought on some serious analysis paralysis for me.

Every time I try to sit down and start building people, my brain just shuts down at the sheer possibilities of everything. It's going to be even worse this weekend!

I'm curious about the Malifaux/ KD sizes as well.

The Into The Breach multi part kits might prove interesting to mix with KD stuff if they're of similar size/ build.

I think I have double Bs, but I'd need to get home to confirm that. Pretty sure both of mine have the tell-tale gate on the key.

The spare hands from these kits are excellent for other ranges as well. I've used a few on my Raging Heroes conversions.

I got double C legs if anyone has a set of B they need to get rid of.

My mind is still reeling at just how much stuff was jammed into that box.

Both my kids fit in there!

There are so many extra bits after customization. It would be great if at some point he could make a sprue that was just more bodies.

So I paid the extra shipping within the 24 hour window, but haven't received my expansion yet. Should I be worried at this point or is shipping going really slow?

The expansions are up for order now (except the mispacked spidiculese and the unreleased Lantern Festival)

http://shop.kingdomdeath.com/

One week?

We have decided to make all of the expansions available for just one week. Originally, we were planning on having a slow release, perhaps one expansion per month, so we could properly support them! However I understand that many of you want them right away and so... here we are!

After this sale we will switch over to our original plan, perhaps releasing a new expansion every month along with new resin miniatures!

Warehouses
Please select inventory from the warehouse that is within your region. And please do not select inventory from multiple warehouses! Doing so will result in your order being canceled.

Flat Rate Shipping - $15
For this special spearhead sale, we are charging a flat $15 shipping fee for the following regions. USA, AU, CAN and EU. If you are outside of those regions, I apologize, but we cannot extend this special offer to you.

No warehouse in my region!
Please select inventory from the USA warehouse. Additional shipping fee will apply.

Spidicules Expansion
Due to some trouble with it's legs, the Spidicules was not able to make it to this sale! It will be available at a later date.

Order Processing
We will need an additional week to properly process all of these orders and ensure they are handed off to our partner warehouses correctly. Orders will begin shipping on the 25th of march. Thank you
