Could you carry it around in one of those terrariums that herps use to transport their iguanas?

In all fairness, I'm sure there is some kind of case out there that this thing will fit in - a bowling ball bag comes to mind as a possibility. However, they are not ones I intend to ever own. Nothing against bowlers or terrariums, mind you, I'm just more of a Plano tackle box kind of guy.

In case you were actually serious about your question:
I haven't fully assembled the model yet (for obvious reasons), but from dry-fitting a few of the legs to the body, I would judge the final volume to be roughly dome shaped, approximately 6 inches tall, and at least 12 inches wide.

Having said that, maybe a cake carrier would be the best fit for carrying your monster spider.

Wow. Yet again, Kingdom Death makes me say things I never thought I would say, let alone in the context of a game.

Also, I just uploaded a little mini-gallery of Spidicules sprue pics, along with some explanations. I believe I am the first person to legitimately use "penultimate" as a Dakka image search tag.

What are you all planning to use your extra survivor gear on? I'm thinking of using the WGF survivors and/or Mantic MaA with other arms. I really want to make an Ofelia Moanna out of the WGF little girl, but then I would need to figure out how to make a gnarled faun. I would love to steal hear your ideas, too.

Hey just a quick question from a non backer, when do we think we will see the plastics up for sale on their website?

My guess would be the first major US convention after all the KS shipping has finished at a guess, maybe Gencon?,

Adam won't want to put them out before all the backers have their stuff (and he's attended to at least most of the shipping/packing issues)

and a big convention is a good excuse to put stuff out with a short term price break that will encourage lots of people to grab stuff fast

Well he has released some of that kingdom death monster before most of the backers had it. I need more freaky monsters,
Maybe he should bring a boxed set called kingdom death Survivors with more monsters than survivors

That would be cool; however, I think maybe we should have him finish Monster first?

Or an entirely new way of playing the game where you are the monster, hunting these pesky little annoyances that keep invading your home and butchering all your friends

You're thinking of the 4v1 Evolve game, aren't you...

Considering the natural KD game being 4 Survivors vs 1 Monster, it's a good match.

Got my stuff today - and, embarrassing to have to ask this - but is that everything then?

I know wave 3 contains the Lantern Festival expansion - but I didn't order that one. It didn't have anything else coming did it?

It feels good to have this stuff, that I pledged for in 2012(!!!) finally in hand and done with.

Yep, there's the Spidicules duplicate leg issue, but otherwise the only thing left is Lantern Festival. Assuming Poots doesn't open up the store to the expansions before then, I know where my Gencon fun money is going this year.

I'm sure Adam will put things on the store, a few weeks after the KS delivery finishes. I know there's a lot of interest.

Hope so. I definitely want to pick up the Sunstalker and Lonely Tree expansions.

After that I think I'd only need to get the Lion God and Slenderman.

Dragon King was floated at a very fair $120, and think Sunstalker and Lonely Tree would be comparable in price.

I wonder what the rest will list at.

Honestly? $120 for the Dragon King expansion seems very fair. There is a LOT to it, and I absolutely love it. In addition to being one of my favorite monsters (sorry DK, Flower Knight will probably always be my favorite) it's got my favorite looking armor set, adds scythes (!!!!), two new survivor models that are awesome (seriously, I had no idea this would have them. They, along with the intimacy figures, are possibly my favorite survivor models), and an extensive new campaign that features a new nemesis. I LOVE this expansion. Sorry for gushing.

I have all of my new monsters assembled except for Slenderman (curse your flimsy legs!), so, now I'm drawn back to an age-old question: do I really go through with magnetizing all the armor kits? I'm starting to feel tempted to just glue them in cool combinations... Gah. I have one Lion Armor survivor with magnetized arms (they're not great, but they work) and my idea for the hands was to cut off the peg on the hand, glue a magnet to it, then drill into the wrists about two magnets deep, glue one in, then the hand magnet kind of slots in... I have a bone axe as described and I believe it works. It's just starting to dawn on me how much work this all is.

Yeah, $120 - that's what Adam had in the last KS Update. I wouldn't be surprised if that went up over time.

Personally, I've been thinking to build mine based on the "Rule of Cool" and let that be it. I did some calculating, and it's a ridiculous number of tiny magnets to magnetize "properly", but it's potentially workable if you're only doing shoulders.

My expansions have arrived (man, the US Post office really spares no beating on boxes...), and now the game and expansions sit in my computer room like the monolith from 2001: brooding, silent, threatening and yet enticing at the same time...

The Dragon King mini is extremely satisfying to assemble. Follow the online build guidelines, though, because some pieces need a bit of trimming to fit properly. The armor kit is also quite sumptuous, although I only have legs and torsos done due to choice overload on the arms. I need to buy some WGF amazons and zulus ...or maybe zombie survivors?...to use them all.

That said, while the female Dragon survivor is a truly great mini, the male dragon survivor is kind of a dud. I'm not just saying that because he looks like George McFly eating a Keanu Reeves sad sandwich, but also because his only build pose looks so defeated and his outfit comes straight out of the worst Star Trek episode of all time.

I disagree. I got a set of 20 dragon armor survivors in wave two and they can be built with dramatic poses, albeit with minimal motion. I included a trio of my male dragon armor survivors below. They are unpainted except for airbrushed skin but that should be unimportant to convey the poses.

Also, I got a shipping notice yesterday for a small wave 3 shipment so they may be nearing the end in North America.

The one we were referring to isn't one of the armor survivors, but rather the two from the Midnight's Children art.

That's exactly what I did. I magnetized at the wrists and necks. It worked out pretty well, though it is a pain to glue those tiny magnets onto the tiny hands, especially ones with small weapons. And it's been a bit of a pain to paint them. You can see how I magnetized mine, with some pictures, here: http://adventuresinminiaturegaming.blogspot.com/2016/01/magnetizing-kingdom-death-monster.html

Here are some tips:
The magnets I used in the wrists were 1/16" diameter x 1/32" thick, and anything bigger that that would be too big. For the necks I used 1/16" diameter x 1/16" thick because I already had some of that size. But any bigger diameter than that wouldn't fit.

What I did, is cut off most of the little nib that sticks off the hands to form the wrist, then file it down flat. Then I used super glue to attach the magnet to the flattened part. It helps a lot to scratch up the magnet and the part of the hand you are gluing it to with a steel file. This helps the glue hold better.

Gluing those tiny little magnets to those tiny little hands was definitely the tricky part of all this. And take care to make sure you are gluing the magnets the right way! They have to match up based on which way you glue the magnets into the forearms, so I used a sharpie to mark the side I was going to glue, so I wouldn't get it turned around when I inevitably dropped the little magnet.

Another useful thing I did was, for the left forearms I glue the north side of the magnet facing out, and the right forearms I glued the south side facing out. The hands are then opposite. This way, once everything is glued together, pairs of hands (one right and one left) can be stored attached to each other, since their magnets will be opposite polarities. I did a similar thing with male heads vs female heads having different polarities so one of each can be stuck together for storing.

Take with a pile of salt- the rumor's origin cited speaking with adam via KS about it, during a time when adam hadn't logged in. Could have easily been misspeaking, but on the surface I'm very skeptical.

I'm assuming those are preorders, to be shipped once the backer rewards finish shipping. This way, Adam can keep the distribution line running, rather than closing it down and starting it up again.

Decided to allow myself one of the $60 expansions, but choosing which is killing me. Possibly Slenderman or Dung Beetle, but then the Lion ones look great, and the Flower Knight is a great model too...
