Who does everybody think the most annoying legion/chapter is to face according to fluff?

The Annoying Marines

I think Iron Warriors are up there. You're probably going to get sieged/bombed/artillery striked into submission before you meet them.

I think the Ultramarines would be annoying to fight, tons of men, great leaders, and a large range of weaponry.

Space Wolves. You bring all these advanced tanks, rifles and machine guns... and these goobers bring wolves to ride around on? You must wonder if they take you seriously as a threat.

I think death guard because they never die and alpha legion because you never manage to kill them all and their unbearably crafty...

Usually whatever marine group is flavor of the month/quarter

Failing that its greyknights, I loved them back in the day when only a single squad of grey knight terminators showed up, and all was a mystery (level 4 psychers oh yeah! ), but now..I just lost interest., and the fluff annoys.

By the current fluff? The Alpha Legion. They can do everything, and in fact, they are probably at least half of your own forces already, working against you.

Wow that is annoying..kinda glad I know next to nothing of their fluff.

For the Loyalist, I hate the Blood Angels. I just feel their fluff is just so dumb with the whole Red Thirst
Space Wolves I find annoying simply because Im not a huge Viking fan. Otherwise I would be okay with them.


Traitors, I dont really like the Night Lords. Something about the love everyone seems to have for them makes me scratch my head and say "what?"
However I actually hate the Alpha Legion. Holy hell I hate EVERYTHING about their current fluff. They are trying to serve the Emperor by destroying the Imperium and killing him, they trust xenos when the xenos say butcher your comrades, and than the way they fight... its just annoying I will use Veteran Sergeants quote because ya this sums it up

I exaggerate slightly, lol.

But the trend for the Alpha Legion has turned them into the Mission Impossible Marines. They infiltrate everyone, including somehow posing as regular humans too. They don't actually even seem to fight as a Legion. Which makes you wonder why the Emperor was so mad at Lorgar for being lazy.

Though I guess the answer is that an Alpha Legionnaire had infiltrated the command and control network and was passing falsified reports of the Alpha Legion's battlefield successes in fictional systems while all the actual Alpha Legionnaires were elsewhere pretending to be something other than Space Marines.

Seriously, it's pretty bad. The authors at Black Library seem to try to one-up eachother in coming up with a new ridiculous plot for the Alpha Legion. It's sad too, because my very first Chaos Army was an Alpha Legion one for small-points tournaments in 2nd Edition, when they were more like sneaky Special Forces types training up and leading armies of cultists, instead of being ludicrous super spies.

The nightlords. Mainly due to some of the more "annoying" local players trying to rules lawyer their fluff from books into a chaos codex.

I also think emperor's children. They are so stuck up that instead of actually fighting you they make the whole war into a glorified dance routine which pisses the enemy of so much they lie down and pretend to be dead.

Well, I think its Death Guard with the diseases (bacteria and viruses) they bring to the enemy.

As for the most annoying I'm going to have to get on the wagon and agree that Ultramarines are probably the most annoying but that's because I personally find them so boring. They just never really held any interest in me whatsoever. The only time I liked anything about them was on Macragge and now that's just old news.

I hate on the space wolves pretty hard.

Blood Angels - they are so dumb with their red thirst...and Sanguinius is Mary Sue...so them

most annoying to fight, as in if i were a boot on the ground I wouldnt want to fight emperors children or death guard. Losing would be far worse against these two.

I dont understand the night lords hate, they are just rebels without a cause, super humans doing whatever they want.

Blood angels are pretty dumb, trying to hide their genetic flaw by going around in bright red armor showing off their flaw. Stupid

Grey Knights have awful fluff, I hate to fiht against them because of the n00b draigo affection and the legions of people who paint their grey knights to be grey plastic. (seriously, I dont care if you suck as a painter but you gotta try.)

Alpha legion also sucks..James Bond in 40k sucks...and I wish they make their mind, are they renegade altruists or chaos scum...

I have never seen a period of time when Ultramarines have been held in high regard, at the very least not since the latest Chapter: Mary Sue Marines.

Ultramarines and any other chapter that has strict adherence to any doctrine aside from one that preaches adaptability/thinking for yourself as to what is the best route to take to overcome the threat.. It's gives me a headache as I prefer adaptability over all.
