It's the same exact size as an M113 APC. The M113 could carry a crew of 2, and 11 men. There is no way that 11 Space Marines takes up the same amount of space as 13 regular men. Especially when the men on the inside were hunched over as it was, and aren't 8 foot tall behemoths.
It wouldn't suprise me if they just bought an old surplus one, slapped some aluminum siding on it and painted it blue.
That being said, it's still awesome.

Yep. The one with a STEEL hull (not aluminium like the 113). They welded steel frame and sheet over the top of the 432. There were videos (probably still are) on youtube showing them doing it.
There's a mob that does "tank rides" here in Sydney that uses two of the FV432s for it (notwithstanding the minor detail that the 432 is NOT a "tank") and one of them has great big holes cut in the sides for the large windows - all the better to see the limo style interior. It's also been fitted with rubber tracks and registration for road work (steel cleats rip up the roads).

They were given it by Relic and repainted it blue from its original Blood Ravens scheme. Though yes, that's what Relic did to make it, or whoever made it for Relic.

Its solid folks, looks as though its sheet steel about 6mm (1/2 inch) thick, I could not see what was under neath the steel but it looks like its all on top of a smaller APC as some have mentioned.
Its just cool.
Do you think any of the tanks can carry that amount of crew, no. A sppeder can fit four men in and its about the same size as a rhino. Its like all of this hobby, use your imagination.

Warhammer World always seemed a bit anticlimactic to me, I had been twice now over the years - and I always felt that it could be more than what it is. Not that it is bad, but if you ever go to other flagship locations for different stuff (LEGO for example) it just seems a bit....meh.
Oh, and remember - the Rhino is only 1:1.5 scale or around there. At least if you base it off the information in the Imperial Armour books (6.6m long, 4.5m wide, 3.6m tall). Just to put that in perspective for those who get all crazy about sizes...that would be a room which is 21 feet long and 14 feet wide. Even if 4 feet of the width was taken up by the tracks and you lost 6 feet of length for the drivers portion you would still have a 10x15 (with 8 foot ceilings) room to fit your passengers in. Just sitting side by side on both sides like you do in the M113 or FV432 you should have no problem fitting 10 Space Marines in back plus an 11th riding shotgun next to the driver.
I always felt the 432 was relatively spacious compared to the M113. You can sit upright and move about a bit inside of it, even with all your gear - and with 5 per side...you have a bit of elbow room. The M113, if you are a tall guy like me - your head bumps the ceiling when sitting upright and if you are fully loaded, it is a bit like sardines. Still compared to some of the Russian vehicles I have been in - they are both like the difference between riding in an Escalade versus a Fit.

It isn't like it used to be. The first time I went it was a full museum with many large displays on one floor and nearly life size stuff on another. They scrapped all that and made it a really small place and started charging entry. Since the makeover to what it is now it has improved on that and it's free. It's still a Shane they broke up all the old displays though.
I photographed them at the time and scanned the photos for the thread linked below. The photos aren't the best, it was about 13-14 years ago I think.

It would be great if I had kids(everything is sized for them, seriously the adverts make the rides look adult/standard sized, but their not) because the kids would have a blast, but the only part that'll really interest adults is the displays and the shopping(if they're adults into playing with Lego).

The best bit of warhammer world is that you can play on their tables for free if they do not have an event on.
other than that it's a gloryfied shop with bar and a room full of mdels set in a fake caslte courtyard.
it looks good, is good, but living as i live in nottingham i would i say it isn't worht travelling to unless you have a game planned.

Rhino there seems to be based on the dimensions on the M113 APC (which can carry 10 normal soldiers) as opposed to how large a Rhino would actually have to be to carry 10 Space Marines in power armour. GW never has understood scale very well, both literal and the scale of their own universe.

In fact it is quite apt for gw that the rhino is too small, as their models have no real scaling except bieng 'nearly the same hieght' with each other.

I agree treesong, with all the effort put into the tables and models i think a few more large scale diarama's would be good, on the scale of the ones that used to be there (epic).
All said and done I like that its free given GWs thurst for money. The bar is cool and if you game the tables are awsome.

Well done for living in Nottingham. It's a shame the other 7 billion of the population can't live there too :p
The Rhino is pretty cool, and I think Warhammer World is still worth visiting even though it's mostly just a shop, gaming centre and bar now. I still like it.

As a Brit only living less than 70 miles away, it is worth visiting as Nottingham town centre is within easy walking distance so a days visit is split between the 2.
However for overseas visitors, I would offer a word of caution. The display room upstairs is great, alot of recognisable armies from White Dwarf, there to study the Eavy Metal paint jobs, a sprinkling of conversions, etc. But the rest of the place is less worth a visit ( IMHO). Yes the gaming tables a good (free as already been pointed out - but how many overseas visitors will bring an army over with them ?), but the shop is still just a shop, Bugmans bar sells overpriced drinks + food.
However, that said, the staff are all friendly people, willing to talk about the hobby rather than just trying to to sell the latest releases, so don't feel put off - just be aware of the limitations.
If they were to run a tour of the place, looking at the moulding / design processes, etc. than that would be a different ball park

It's also worth noting that you can't just drop in and pick up any mail order only stuff now, you can only order it to collect the next day (or maybe that afternoon if ordered early enough), and that with the exception of some of the more common FW pieces, the shop is identical to any other GW.
There's a gift shop in Bugmans too though.
They used to do a tour of the place, and you used to be able to watch the figures being made (I'm talking about 15+ years ago). It's a shame that it's now more of a shop than a GW mecca these days.
If you're also interested in Historics, then Warlord Games and Wargames Foundry and pretty local, and I believe Mantic has a visitor friendly HQ nearby too
