No pic, but still an update: When filing down my sausage A today it turned out the sausage had not attached to the torso as it was supposed to. It tore apart half the torso sculpt. So thats on the table to be redone.
We end in februari? Cool, there is time still...

Good to see the amount of contestants. Improves my chances on not finishing last

I quite agree. The trophy comes secondary to finishing what you've done!

Ok, so here's a pre-WIP of my hero. I'm excited to join in the competition! Should get some pictures up next week! Building off of an Armature will be fun, and hopefully it'll end up being something a bit unique.

Don't worry, she'll be getting clothes!

So, if you're still taking entrants (and it seems you are) I'd like to give this a shot. Last time I entered a competition I had to bow out so hopefully this will help erase that shame.

Presenting Pustulus Maximus (kudos if you get the reference), champion of Nurgle:

He's the guy on the left...

Still very much a WIP. Lots of sculpting left to do then the painting (which is the daunting part for me...) He is blu-tacked together here.

If it is too late, or if this doesn't qualify for some reason, please let me know and I will remove the images from this post.

Either way, I look forward to seeing the completed entries!

Wow there's a lot of real cool stuff on here...
A suggestion @ know no pear: perhaps small horns? Or if you're good with greenstuff maybe some warped skin on the edges where his armor meets his face?

Decided to spray model instead of brush. After that dried I did some work on the arms / weapons and started a bit on the helm & backpack / trophy rack

Is that a hasslefree armature - looks like the one they released for a sculpting comp before Xmas? Regardless, it'll be interesting to see where you go with that

This seems like a good way to force me to finish one of my bigger models...

Its a bit of a tangent from the "Hero" theme, a "Hive Tyrant"

Looted of course

I have 2 looted fexes already, which I use as Deff Dreads in Ork games, and a friend of mine suggested that I start a Tyranid army, but have everything "looted" in a sense.

Then I got a Tyrant from another friend (rather broken, and with two left feet), and set to fixing it! Now it is setting up to be a centerpiece of both my Ork and Nid armies, as a "Boss" Dread and Tyrant, respectively.

Hopefully this can be considered suitably Heroic. If not, just lemme know and Ill change models!

I did just get two new crisis suits.

I may as well enter, although I doubt I'll place, this may very well give me some motivation to build and paint my model in a timely manner, or at least build it. Sure, go ahead and mark me down. I don't think I'll come close to winning, but building and painting the model is a victory in itself.

What's the metal model you've used as a base fig? I love it as a look for ogrun.

its actually that old 2007-09 (i forget) gameday ork model, it came with a little grot, I think it would work great for an ogryn and im sure they are floating around, I got mine by trading zagstruk for it
