Mine's arrived!!

I scoffed at people that were saying they were swamped by the contents. Wow. They weren't kidding. There's plenty to be overwhelmed about here and I'm baffled by what's what and what.

So far, I've only really checked the terrain. Awesomely good stuff and feels really tough.

And after a quick look at the rest, I have Yurik as my MVP. Plus, I think I may have some extras that I didn't order...

The only questions I have so far:

Is Boomer in this or not? I've ordered him and can't find him. Yet.

Is there just the one sheet of tokens? Thought there would be more.

And does anyone know what the Order Total includes on your order? Mine's under the $300 mark, but I spent more than that to get the compendium.

These guys aren't like certain French companies, they actually put updates out when they say it!

It would be fantastic if they posted it as a KS update, like they said they would. That way, all KS backers get it, not just those who check Mantic's blog.

Not just towards Mantic, but to many companies, what a concept, use the mechanisms KS provides you to update those that funded you via KS.

Got my stuff and holy gak is there a lot of it.

Quick impressions:
*Love, love, love the mat. Wish I had gotten more.

*I seem to have gotten 12 dice, haven't checked yet to see how many was supposed to be included.

*There were bits popped off of the scenery sprues (fortification bits, I think) and large bases lying in the bottom of the box amongst the packing materials. Check through the box thoroughly before you throw anything out.

*Love the book. Nice to finally have a physical copy.

*Lots of minis to QC.

*I seem to not have the plastic tokens and I'm sure I ordered them. Not on the packing list, so I will have to bug Mantic about them to see if I should have had them.

Good stuff so far.

check your email for the old Deadzone Kickstarter Survey Summary email that you got after you did the pledge survey thing, that lists every item available and what quantity you entered in when you completed it.

Just checked on what I've got coming in terms of Battlezones, and it looks like for some reason I went with 3 Ruined and only 1 Fortification!

Looks like more Fortifications will be in order on Survey #2...

Yeah. Can't seem to find that one. Got Dreadball but not DZ. Guess I have to pester them.

It would be extremely helpful if they put up a listing of what each packing list item is supposed to contain. I think I am missing a bunch of stuff but since I have no idea what Rebs 1, Extra 1 Rebs, Extra 1 Plague, Plague 1, etc are supposed to contain, I cannot really tell. If each line item corresponds directly to a baggie, I am definitely missing a bunch of stuff...

Guess I'll be putting together a big email.

Just unboxed my shipment

I feel exactly like the day I first opened Warhammer 4th edition box set! !

I have 16 wall sprues 4 accessory sprues 2 connector sprues in the Deadzone box, is that right?

Only problem I see is that they sent me the wrong AW terrain (medical instead of warehouse)

Everything else looks amazing

Eleven sprues in the Deadzone game box, eleven more as Strike Team bonus, for a total of twenty two. So that's right.

Uh-oh. 22 sprues in one Strike Team box, 4 of which are accessory sprues? I'd forgotten how many sprues Strike Team was due. Looks like Mantic goofed on my order after all.

Let me give you an idea-take your Bloodthirster's wings off. Stand your first gen next to said Bloodthirster. Other than heads, the sizes are the same. Holy. Fething. Gak.

And if we're getting double the amount of sprues than what's in the box set, how many sprues of core world would one get if they ordered two extra battlezones of core worlds?

Yep, Mantic goofed alright, big time. They gave me 2 extra accessory sprues.

I guess they'll be sending me that order query.

The errors are really piling up - seems as if every order has them, and some are rather large...

Interestingly it appears Mantic has used two different suppliers for the hard plastic terrain... the core sprues are rounded (like most model kits from Tamiya, Italeri, etc) while my landing pad sprues are angular (like most miniature kits from GW, Renedra, etc) Both types are great quality, but the latter appear to have a slight edge... very little to no flash. I'm hoping these guys are the new suppliers for their new hard plastic kits like the space zombies and Enforcers.

Probably fair to suggest a comparison size box: it's the same size as Dreadfleet and Space Hulk. I figure most people who haven't gotten it in yet at least have seen one of those boxes around. That means it's big, btw. Actually, it's slightly larger than Space Hulk-I have a box of that nearby and I can see the difference. Only slightly, but DZ is still a tad larger. Also working on building my mercs now, have already finished building the starter set of Enforcers and the 1st Gen plague. I'm gonna have to order another of him, a second Reb starter, an Asterian and Forgefather starter, more terrain, another couple playsheets...oh man, thank God I'm getting a raise...wow.

the Antenociti's Workshop stuff is top-notch. I have lots of their vehicles but not any of their terrain until now. Super super high quality, and they come with preprinted screens and such. The Commercial pack comes with cool display boards like you see at modern bus and subway stops, with cool Mantic universe references. Ten different posters in all, such as an upcoming Dreadball game, a pic of what looks like Ronnie, a "Warpath live in concert" poster, and a Fisty Glue Man poster (my favorite)

missing 3 guys from non enforcers (i think some enforcer stuff was delayed)
But got 10 extra's.

Well played my first game last night, really enjoy the mechanics. Thought it would be like Necromunda, but personnally thought it was more like Infinity. Like the movement aspect as well.

Love the secret missions idea.

Can see it be really quick to play a game when we nail the rules properly.

Looking forward to running a campaign in the new year!

Good to hear! Fast and simple rules that don't remove depth of gameplay is pretty much what I'm hoping for from Deadzone.

edit: also scaleable in board, army size and number of players. And campaigns ; )
