Got my big box today!

Some quick comments, more later:

I took the stuff with me to my FLGS, since I often go there on Wed. nights with my neighbor/buddy. Pretty much everything others have already said about the top-notch quality are true. Only minor thing I would say is that there are *some* mould lines, but literally zero flash, and the mould lines are pretty minor, and only very fussy perfectionists like me are going to really worry about shaving/filing them away. I must second (third, fourth, etc.) the rave reviews for the packaging. MUCH better than most other companies, even the 300 pound gorilla that shall remain nameless...

The employees and patrons of the FLGS were REALLY impressed by the stuff. And by the fact that you can basically get the equivalent of a titan (Warhound) for $100. I am going to suggest to the owner next time I'm there that he get in touch with you Mark, as he and his customers were very interested in getting their hands on one too...

SO very glad I got in on this Kickstarter. This project, to me, is what's great about Kickstarter. I hope there are further Kickstarters, and more availablity of Mark's work!

Mark, you have to have a pose contest! The accessory sprue will let us make so many cool poses, I want to see what people come up with. These are perfect for making killer dioramas.

Yamato 1/60 Destroids. Really nice for toys. Fits perfectly in scale with my other 1/60s. The Rifleman they made is ok, but the guns look too small. That one will be GDL when its finished.

Mine came yesterday.. never got the time to dig in, but wow that's a big box.. I'll probably start building everything over the weekend.

Ever thought of selling the leviathan base separately? Looks like a nice size for making dioramas, or people could use them for other big models.

Sicksix thanks for the video. Mine is out for delivery right now.....really tempted to call in to work. I think the best part of the video is the scale shot of the gun frame on your hand. Epic is all I can say.

Just finished assembling my 'Shadokesh and Handler' and I need a break. the chain portion is slightly challenging but having said that I LOVE the aesthetics of the Shadokesh. love the regal look of the handler and I'm very excited about the idea that an army of these guys is planned. This is probably going to be the frist model I paint out of all the plastic I got from this kickstarter.

As for the troopers I really like them. the basic pose is great. I've been playing around with the optional sprew and for me at least I can't get an arms combination that beats the standard rifle at the ready look you get from the basic infantry box set. Assembled about 6 models so far and keep comparing them to the original metal models I have. these plastics are an improvement.

over all I have a little bit of buyers remorse as in I wish I ordered more during the kickstarter. oh well there's always online retailers but I hope this is something my local FLGS will decide to carry. so I can buy them locally instead.

4 x Leviathans & 60 x Stromtroopers. It was a big box!!

So I build one of the Leviathans last night. A good build for the most part. My only real complaint is the instructions. There are steps that don't mention what parts to use and one step that lists the WRONG parts. That caused me the most headache, trying to figure out why two parts where too short, and then missing on another step.

If you haven't built a Leviathan yet let me tell you that when building the pistons for the torso, the pins on the lower coupling, use BBA2 & BBB2 not BBA1 & BBB1(I belive its BB, I'm at work and don't have it in front of me). A1 & B1 are for the sword arm. Its more of a pain than a deal breaker. Also really look at the pictures, the inlet port on the Right Vulcan arm is not listed but shown in place, and don't use the port with the notch at the top. I might be for the Left Vulcan arm, but I haven't built it yet. The two left over parts on the Vulcan sprue fit into the gun port with the notch.

There are not instructions for the Capacitor Coolers and they have a lot of parts. Too bad you can't switch between them and the smoke stacks. Nor can you switch out the swords, you pick the one you like when building. I was under the impression that you could change these out.

Now on to the good parts. The arm swapping is awsome!! The arms stay in place just fine and being able to buy new arms in the futrue makes me very happy!! Being able to pose the Leviathan after its build is also very nice. No more pre-posing it to only have it not be the way you want it. The torso is strong enough that I'm not going to glue it so it can be move in the futrue. The legs do need to be glued at some point. The hip joints are not ment to be movable for good and the leg will come off if your not carefull. The movable pistons is a nice touch, but be careful not to over extend them.

As before, nice kit. Take your time, look everything over and have patience. Look over all the spruces, I'm missing a armor part off one. I'll contact the company and see if they'll help me out.

Oh did anyone receive a base for Ada? I didn't. If not, I'll figure something out.

I did build a stormtrooper and used some pouches on him. Very nice and he went together like clock work. The Feral Shadokesh and Handler took a little longer, but take your time and don't use super glue so you can make some adjustments and you'll be fine.

I'm very happy overall and just don't know what I'll do with so many Mechs. I guess theres worse things in life. ;-)

Dammit... Sorry about that. Update 92 posted.

Thankfully there have been very few issues, but as you receive your deliveries we may see a few more pop up. I had one customer that needed a replacement sprue, one of the leg sprues did no fill properly, and one customer that did not receive everything they were expecting.

If you have any issues with your oder that were not tracking number related, please email Paul at WGF to get replacements worked out.

I can see that when I get to the torso, I'll be referring back to this.

Did you order any Mortises? When wave two comes in, I'll also be up to 4 Leviathans. And some mini levis which are likely to be used for Comtemptors, Dreadknights, etc.

Wave 3 will be really exciting, what with the heavy troops and the Valkir. Wish I could have ordered more of the APCs, though.

For that specific gun? Not that I know of. Zinge does some M4's though so that is pretty close. Not sure how they would scale up though...

I don't think I could use those with these beautiful storm troopers. Those guns look pretty flat detail wise.

Automatically Appended Next Post:

Same with those. Maybe if I see them in person, but these stormtroopers are so nice. Maybe I'll just try cutting the barrels down on the rifles included in the kit. The molded bipod thing makes it kind of difficult though.

Going through some forums I heard warlord has a stg 44 sprue, but damned if I can find it on their site.

Interesting. I sent some comments via PM to Mark about the instructions. I didn't realize they were the wrong pins, I thought they were just too small and used them (they work just loose and don't quite meet). Now I will need to use plastic rod for the sword arm when I build it. No biggie there. The kit was still marvelous.

The port with the Notch at the top is for the opposite side of the Vulcan. Its the shell ejection port and the notch is where you mount the laser sight.

The Capacitor coolers were only a bit of a pain because of no instructions. Mostly in getting the tubes at the bottom to line up. I also wish you could switch them. Perhaps I could have magnetized them, but didn't want to take the time.

Cheers on four. I only backed for one and now regret it, will be purchasing more later.
