I'm still hoping that Mark/ DFG are able to make good on the coupon and shipping from China for those of us outside the US. I know Mark has said that, before he starts another KS, he wants to have as much of the work already done as possible. The delays in this one are because the sculpts weren't complete to begin with. If he can have everything ready to go for tooling at the start of the next, things will go a lot smoother.

Well, I still think the vehicle is big enough that making it even bigger with the Hanomag nose was a bad idea and a shorter wheel base would have been better, and the Mule still looks like it's going to tip all your stuff on the ground instead of being a reliable hauler.
The Shadokesh are defined by the personality they lack so I find them rather dull, but I'd be interested in seeing what the other human factions will be like.

I'd say they are about the same height. The dreamforge model is much wide and much much longer. Not a good use for this model at all.
Yeah, that's the problem of GW making their vehicles slightly smaller than 28mm. The APC is about the right size for it's job. I'd probably run it as a Chimera, anyway.
I can see the APC being a good basis for a whole line of kits. Next step some AA guns and some modern turrets?

Well, that's not entirely true, I started by using the blueprints for a 251 and the changed the cassis to a wider stance and up scaled the overall sized. The nose length holds pretty true to the original.
The Shadokesh I will agree with you on, there is a post a few pages back where I said it did not thrill me and it needed to be punched up.

I am aware that you were copying the 251. I'm saying that you shouldn't have - that the footprint was already big enough for what is basically a battle taxi without adding another superfluous inch to its length.
The Shadokesh are defined by the personality they lack so I find them rather dull, but I'd be interested in seeing what the other human factions will be like.

The Mule is almost exactly a copy from real life, you do realize right? I've seen videos of the test robot. I believe it's a DARPA creation. It follows soldiers, responds to voice commands, and looks exactly like Mark's version. Down to the ball feet. It may not look like scifi has made us think of walking robots... but it's realistic.

Nah. In the first place, the grill on nearly all modern cars is for appearance. The actual needed area to properly ventilate the radiator is MUCH smaller than what the grill allows, and alternative ways to get airflow would certainly be something I'd work into the design of a vehicle that is going to be shot at. Secondly, if it has some other means of cooling, a liquid cooling system, for example, you certainly wouldn't need any grill at all, and again, the added complexity of such a design my come out ahead when you consider bullets coming towards the vehicle at high speed.
While I agree that it is completely feasible that you wouldn't need the grill, many modern cars need all of that air flow especially more powerful engines like the ones required to move very heavy armored trucks. Also liquid cooling system is what 95% of the vehicles on the market already employ.
I agree with no grill on the model. It is supposed to be armored and you figure the front would take a lot of fire. They can put an air intake other places.

No, it is not. It is slower, less stable and more expensive than doing the same thing with wheels like a sane person.
