This wasn't Mark soliciting feedback, this was me bitching because of what he decided.

Which prompted him to seek out if you were an isolated case or the actual consensus.

Except that he's asking the wrong question. Making them smaller doesn't fix the problem.

I know what you were asking, can we shrink down the shoulder width.

The answer is yes, but we loose compatibility. The crux of the question is do you want them as is or do you want them tweaked and loose the compatibility to the other kits in the line. All of this would be much simpler if we were not working with posable arms. A fixed posed model allows for many tweaks, multi pose does not due to how each component needs to relate to the next.
The illustration is simplistic but it illustrates the core issue, I am free to tweak the scaling a bit and likely would to deal with the shoulder width but the end result will be the same.... compatible - or- no.

Oh! Mark! Any plans for skirmish level Iron Core based on the same mechanic? If not I would be willing to help try and put together a team to do that. Should be relatively simple once we have the core mechanics for IC in hand. I want to take my squad of kitted up Widows on a rampage Rambo (or perhaps G.I. Jane) style across the known universe!

Ae you talking about the game size? Skirmish vs Army? If so that is our goal.... a game that will handle just a few infantry all the way to a full division. Lord knows if we can pull it off correctly... many have tried and failed but that is what we hope to achieve.

I've gone for the full size too. There are enough differences in the style of armour that decent painting will give away the differences in gender.

Also I plan on doing my black widows in a completely different scheme than the general troops, and the females I intermingle in my standard squads ought to be more difficult to distinguish, so that works for me too. (Black widows will be black, general troops grey. I don't know of any real-life units that make women wear pink uniforms/armour, and that would seem silly to me.) The differences in detail of things like the thigh armour are good locations to emphasise the difference between male and female models, so this is enough for me.

But I will also be waiting to hear from Mark on the proposed voucher as I will definately need a Mortis, 10 man standard squad, command squad, possibly some of the heavies, and 1 more of each of the widows, and APCs to give me a full force - although I'll probably have to split that into two or more orders so won't give Mark a heart attack at all the money I am saving. Will probably go for the extra troops and APC with the voucher and get the rest as and when.

I'm not sure, Mark. I mean, it's close, but it's not quite Carling.
Surely she needs to be looking the other way and shielding her eyes with her other hand.

Oh, and you forgot the cages around her chest armour, cos - y'know - they're straining against it so hard, they may burst out from the inside!

And while your working on revisions, how about some high heels, they are awfully practical on the battlefield, allowing the ladies to see over small obstacles!

With a kilo of greenstuff and some clippers, this model too can be ours!

edit: maybe a kilo of silicon putty would be more appropriate than greenstuff.

Hey guys,

A few things in one post!

1. I voted for the smaller female models, sacrificing cross compatibility (worth it, imo)
2. The above image is hilarious
3. Bolognesus has spoken for part of the wave 3 portion of my pledge and the other part will be put up for sale in the swapshop (this is only due to timing as I had to use other models for the project I had intended the wave 3 models for).
