Ha, Beetle Knight Cell is actually pretty cool. I was expecting a Freiza reference, myself.

I never saw the penis imagery in the Dragon King. Still don't, actually. What I do see is Gurren Lagann though.

I'm still disappointed by the lack of Forsakers. Hopefully they show up in his dungeon crawl adventure.

You clicked on a Kingdom Death thread.

That is a great precedent to set.

Seriously?

For better or for worse, KD is an 'art' of sorts - a WELL established sort at that.

If you're worried about that sort of thing - especially at work - you shouldn't go anywhere near a KD thread.

At work.

And for someone who is new to Dakka and doesn't know about Kingdom Death? Who is at work? What about them?

Anyway, do your thing, Alpharius. The moderation team is usually deaf to user feedback anyway, you especially, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised at your reaction.

You sure Kingdom Death is the game for you?

I say that knowing that it isn't the game for me, for many reasons, so, maybe just avoid this thread?

I am sympathetic to the idea that maybe there should be a spoiler there (I was a little surprised there wasn't), but I am having trouble imagining the person who is new to Dakka, doesn't know anything about Kingdom Death, is at work, and didn't start at page 1 of the thread. It shouldn't take more than 5-6 posts to realize that you don't want your co-workers walking by and asking "What are you doing here that is not work?" while in that particular thread! At some point, people have to take responsibility for their own actions, such as reading through a hundred plus pages of a Kingdom Death thread at work and not realizing that it was perhaps not appropriate.

Ok, now I'm keeping my Gambler pledge. The big question is do I add on the Pathfinder crossover now or hope for the option in the pledge manager.

I have everything game related currently released except for the Holiday White Speaker event and Xmas Knight Xmaxe. Considering I'm on a Gambler pledge is there anything I'm missing game content wise that I need to add on?

At the minute I'm thinking Promo's of Death (for the Story in the Snow event), the 2x crossover miniatures and the new Pathfinder pack, is there anything I've missed with game content (not promo content).

That Ivory Dragon is going to be one CRAY ZAY miniature (bigature?) to build.

I wonder what the armor will look like. Or the Gatekeeper. Or the hybrid sets.

A lot to ponder.

AND A STORM KNIGHT PINUP! WHERE IS THE STORM KNIGHT!?!?!? WHERE IS MY SWORD SHAPED TOWER TO CLIMB?

...hopefully coming soon!

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Why would you need to sell? Isn't everything optional being sold after the core game? So you can keep what you have or am I mistaken and these are must haves?

I'm not seeing why some expansions are nearly double the price of other expansions despite having very similar content. 1 very large monster, one monster, 2 of one armor sculpt, 2 of another armor sculpt, 2 of a third armor sculpt--or!--2 small monsters, 1 rukebooks, lots of gear cards, 1 new disciple or something, some settlement locations, maybe some tokens or tiles. Typical expansion. But will it be $50? $75? Maybe $100. Makes it hard to measure the value of one expansion against another, especially when there's so little confirmed information to work from.

Is the Gold Smoke Knight in the 1.5 upgrade? Have we seen a render or sculpt yet?

Still no word on the King?

Yes, it's included in the upgrade.

If you compare new to old expansions old have already payed their tooling and art, if you compare new expansions nothing is equal one minster may need more tooling than the other ectr.

Time & success happened. As the campaign progressed, Poots felt he could get away with selling at a higher price.

I am dizzied by the number of expansions though, and would appreciate a guide on which would be the best to have a single coherent and varied game. Screaming God seems to be by far the best choice so far for that, but campaign book, alternate campaign, a big end capper like the Satan Dragon...Who knows. Frogdog looks like poor value, but you'd be fighting it many many more times than late-game stuff...

Thanks, ecurtz. Turns out the Gold Smoke Knight is an easy pass for me. If I had a broccoli-shaped hammer that big, I think I'd be a little more cheerful than that guy.

I still haven't worked my way through all the original content and expansions and probably never will. I think I'm just going to sit at my silver lantern and just add the Campaigns of Death expansion for the time being. If he allows adding money to the pledge manager, I'll grab some expansions with the coolest looking minis, but won't lose sleep if not.

Are the Super Survivors included in any of the pledges? As a "promo" it seems yes...?

If you're pledging at a level that has the 1.5 upgrade or the 1.5 game, you get it anyway.

From the comments section Paizo send a newsletter about KDM 1.5 kickstarter, can anybody confirm it?

The fact this crossover exists and the previous ones from CMON and Sodapop makes me think there are more strategic deals under the table for KDM IP and maybe even distribution.

Have you ever played a campaign so filled with delightfully disgusting monsters, moody atmospherics, and straight-up disturbing imagery that you question the sanity and stability of the people who make it? Of course you have! You play Pathfinder! But have you ever played ANOTHER game that fits that description, often in an even grosser, more hilarious way?

We have, and it's called Kingdom Death: Monster.

Kingdom Death: Monster is currently the most-successful-ever game campaign in Kickstarter history, with the clock running down to the end of the campaign THIS SATURDAY at 3:00 PM Eastern Time (US). Time is growing very short to get your very own copy. Several members of the Paizo staff enjoy games of Kingdom Death after hours here in the office, and we're certain that fans of monsters, tactical combat, and imaginative world building will want to give the campaign a close look before time runs out.

But Paizo, you might say, I am really really into Pathfinder, why are you pointing me to a different game?

Because, my friends, Kingdom Death: Monster is ALSO really into Pathfinder, and to that end they've just announced a special crossover add-on that adds the Pathfinder iconic heroes Merisiel, Valeros, Kyra, and Seoni to the world of Kingdom Death, all with their very own Kingdom Death miniatures and rules designed by the same innovative (and disturbed) designers behind the game's other critters and characters.

You can learn more about the Pathfinders of Death Crossover Expansion by checking out the latest campaign update. Kingdom Death figures are a little larger than standard Pathfinder figures, which allows for greater detail and more room to add your own awesome paint job, but not so large that they don't fit on a standard 5-foot-grid. The quality of these figures is what originally drew us to the Kingdom Death game, and we're thrilled to have our own characters enter Kingdom Death's world of nightmare horror.

Here's the real nightmare. This legendary Kickstarter campaign ends in a matter of hours! Don't miss your chance to grab these awesome figures while you still can!

Before I wrap this up, I should mention that Kingdom Death: Monster is VERY MUCH an adult-oriented game, and much of its content may not be suitable for youngsters. I mean, they'll love it, but really, this isn't for kids. Really.

And should a monster travel into the future and murder your hero's children, or should your heroes die in dark dentistry, or have their faces stolen for a trophy, or find themselves harvested for resources, do your best to enjoy the experience! At least you'll have your iconic friends at your side!

Until they die in a grotesque fashion!

Yours sincerely, in the dying light of a nightmare realm,

Erik Mona
