Don't get me wrong but some of her weight must be swifted from the lower back part of her body to the upper front part of her body... asap. If you assemble her with the helmet the absence of boobs makes it not quite so clear that she is a SHE and not a HE.

Got milk?

All I can say about painting is that VMC tastes much better than VMA... especially black...

Well , the chest department stays as it is sorry. We can do other alterations but more "real" aesthetics stays

I can only repeat it: Folks tone done your expectations towards KS or you will be in for a rude awakening in the near future.

Everyone wants a good deal, me too. But what some ask is gettinge really ridiculous. And the dice are a fair deal for low run, custom dice.

I am all in for a rude awakening, where is the pill?

The company should expect to make living by selling their stuff to wholesalers and LGSs with 30-50% discount from their RRP. If these third parties then slap on a 20% discount - fine. It is the market, and that is how it works. The company may limit this by selling everything through their own shop with all the consequences. Now, why shouldn't any and everyone expect a good deal?

Kickstarter is not a shop - there is no buyer protection. Do we deserve to pay more for this risk? Kickstarter is "pay up front" - there is a wait for the goods to be created, then produced and only then - shipped. Do we need to cover the estimated inflation for that period? Kickstarter is a cat in the bag - the goods are not yet out, and for the table-top games this is a big problem. Will it float or will it sink without a trace, will there be a community, a couple of players or only miniatures to paint or boxes to stockpile? Kickstarter is "not a charity". Support the product You like by paying more now than less later?

And closer to this specific project - many things are already in the pipeline, so that is one of the "Kick-preorder-starters". The funding is already safe and 3 fractions are ready to go. One of the stated goals is to switch from resin to styrene (presumed). This means that the cost is more than halved - will this be mirrored by the decrease in box costs? Or will "kickstarters" receive a second box free?

I really want to pledge for 3 starter sets, or maybe 2 with add-on boxes. Not for this game - for models. But I may as well wait for the Mantic to provide a better deal.

Painting progress tracker:
2017: 50 of 50 planned; 2018: 80 of 60 planned; 2019: 75 of 75 planned

Pledge 2020:
6 to sculpt, 75 to paint (2/57 done)

The helmet on Angelika needs to be wider in the cranial part.

You might want to consider shifting the whole posture forwards a bit and straighten the right leg. The mid stride pose is a bit floaty.

I don't really think the mask fits her at all, regrdless of size, it turns her into some androgyne cosplayer. The rest of her is marvellicious though!

@Wirecat - With all my respect, thanks but I'm sure we've heard everything that can be said about the mechanics behind this kickstarter and kickstarter as a phenomenon and but can't we keep that in a different thread from now on? You people simply do not agree and this KS-debate has taken up enough space already and does not have much to do specifically with Warzone Resurrection anymore as I see it and does not contribute to the purpose of this thread imo.

The game KS is one of the better ones, Point of contentions, sure, but at least it is moving forward, and the input is generally positive, with excellent feedback between both company and designers. And Point of fact, this KS is leagues ahead of the "Other one" and look at the results....

Excellent work so far. Hope to see more on those Union and other factions though.

Angelika is getting good.
At the moment I do not really like the whip and the pose itself.
She looks too relaxed, this mini would be well suited for a shopping mall walk, but as a hardened battlefield amazon?

So maybe a bit more action, and a wider stand?

Yeah, 18k. Its not moving very much. Many of these project lowball what they need just to guarantee backing. I figure if you can't get $200,000 out of a kickstarter you are not doing it right.

With what data are you making such an assertion? The genre is still far too young to form any kind of overarching analysis. As it stands, the Kickstarter needs of a company like Ramshackle Games (to pick an example from the lower end of the spectrum of goals) and those of, say, Mantic, are wildly different. It's different things for different projects.

I'm basing it off of past kickstartes by new companies see Battle of Alabaster, rivet wars and Dreamforge. Also from personal experience running companies. Raising $200k through normal financing options should not be too hard, the press and exposure that kickstarters present is worth far more than the money raised. Hell a good kickstarter is a way of showing consumer confidence, you can use that to bring in real investors.

After seeing Dreamforges success I would happily invest in Marks shop. The product is amazing.

Rogue Trooper miniatures game is a super-niche market; catering to Rogue Trooper fans (of which there are few) who are wargamers (cutting that few down to even less); it's basically a fan-project from Mongoose to get models from a cool comic made to play some games with. Not every KS is mega-scale and not every KS should succeed by 1000% or more - those mega projects are months to years late. So you're saying the 15mm Critical Mass Games KS is a failure because it's only raised 7kGBP out of a 1500 goal (so far) and has funded infantry and air support and now mechs, because it hasn't reached $200,000? What if I made a KS to fund a miniature of me with a $100 goal and it made $500 - is that a failure? If my $100 KS made $100,000 is that a success, even if was overwhelmed and delivered the product 9 months late? Red Box Games KS1 made 80k and the deliveries are going on 6 months late. In many ways, an overwhelmingly successful KS is WORSE for a company because the delays hurt the image of the company. Hell Mantic delivered Dreadball on TIME (and 1 month early for some backers) and there were people complaining that it wasn't early or theirs took an extra week to arrive in zimbabwe or wherever.

You've set an arbitrary bar. I could say that any companies you have run, or all companies in general, have all been failures because they were't publicly traded and worth $1 billion. The company I work for must be a failure because it's not worth $1 billion, even though we've grown at a healthy pace of 10% to 15% every year, even during the economic downturn.

The Rogue Trooper KS is moving steadily and hitting stretch goals and funding a very large variety of units for a exceedingly overwhelmingly NICHE miniatures game.

The Warzone Ks is already a success and will continue to be.

Not a butt-fan? My fiancee is a model (the photograph kind, not the miniature kind), but has an a/b-cup and a big booty. Dat ass = clear sign that miniature is a lady.

I could see trying to transport that modle once and the whip snapping. This is going to be a resin gaming peace, not a display piece after all.

As for the pose, I dig that they are trying to go for a Gracefull nobel look. I wouldn't want to see the legs akimbo pose that GW loves to put on their models. Keep her standing up straight in a natural pose as she directs her men into battle!

Maybe when the KS goes high enough, all the models in the starters will be done in plastic, might make such delicate models more survivable for gaming...

lol true. http://www.facebook.com/judgedoug

I for one really like miniatures who don't have double-F boobs. Just like there's no "lady specific" body armor in modern militaries, there's not really much to distinguish female soldiers from male soldiers, except for height (on average... though there are exceptions like the actress who plays Brienne of Tarth on Game of Thrones, lol)

Love the whips and the poses, although the last (skull-faced) one really does look like she's strutting down a runway. Not that it's a problem or anything.
The helmet looks great but I'm hoping, as others have mentioned, that it will be bulked out a bit.

Nah, if she ends up being from the Ministry of Fear then the neuro-lash is more appropriate. She also looks great for what a female character should look like, not a freaking pin-up model with a gun.

That Vulcan is amazing.
