I'm still no fan of the cockpit, and i would've prefered a katana/no-dachi to the wristblande but i guess it doesnt look as out of place besides the ronin as i expected when i first saw it.

Erm ... Ronin Samurai? You can be either Ronin or Samurai, not both. Ronin Samurai is like a married bachelor or a broke millionaire.

Maybe not a broke millionaire. The US is rife with them filing for bankruptcy while still driving their 100k cars and living in their multimillion dollar mansions.

According to their website, some of this stuff should have been released back in June. has anyone gotten anything yet?

They've addressed that issue in the KS updates. The delay is due to several issues which included a sculptor bailing on them after failing to properly deliver renders and their factories getting flooded. They had to completely redo all of those designs that sculptor had handled and the floods really set them back.

What's the new projected ship date?

UK

let's see

they locked down the pledge manager at the end of july, and hope to have most stuff shipped by end August

"Firstly we have employed 2.5 new guys to manufacture. They are all experienced and so we expect the vast majority (97%+) of models will be ready to go by the end of August. Obviously therefore many beforehand.

All of the stuff that is made for us by others are looking likely to be with us by mid-August latest.

Unfortunately we are still having issues with the book and cards. But again we are confidant that they too will be good to go by latest end of August.

So all in all, as it stands now, I would expect almost all our orders out our doors by August 31st."

I'm not convinced they'll manage that (there's bound to be something popular that gets delayed a bit more) but I think they'll have started by then

I wonder when we'll see the game at retail. I couldn't pledge, but I'm looking forward to get ahold of the rulebook.

We'll find out soon enough eh.

Why hallo thar, my lovely not-Catachans. Mixing these in with some Raging Heroes "Jailbirds" models might actually result in a Catachan army that doesn't make me feel ashamed to put it down on the table.

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?

SOOOOOOOOO much better than that early artwork of the free marines. Those I can work with and would be worth having large numbers in a force. My Capital Commando force moves forward Love what they have done with Capital in the most recent stuff.

If you dont short hand your list, Im not reading it.
Example: Assault Intercessors- x5 -Thunder hammer and plasma pistol on sgt.
or Assault Terminators 3xTH/SS, 2xLCs
For the love of God, GW, get rid of reroll mechanics. ALL OF THEM!

Warzone Resurrection Kickstarter Update #119 wrote:First thinks first: The Free Marines Render. (Please not that there WILL be different torsos and more variability on legs)

And Secondly the update on Status:

1. All is looking good still for first physical orders to dispatch in late August. The cards are on their way and we now have a time for the book). The rest we expect to go out quickly after.

2. Only 1 render needs to be initiated (Nozaki), all others are done.

3. We have outsourced some printing. So we are expecting a massive surge early next week as the prints become moulds become models.

4. We have also had to make a decision on plastic. I should point out that the detail we are getting from our resin process is resulting in models of the highest detail in the industry. Our plastic mould results in good, but not cutting edge detail like the resin. So we have decided to make all models in resin for the forseeable. Please take a look at the video attached to see the differences. Video

5. We are going to make the Heavies (and the Diorama) a second wave. Which will be dispatched (at our cost) as soon as possible. We just don't want to delay the mainstay any further

Figured with all the questions on when/where/how, it would be a nice idea to post the full write-up. It is a shame they had to cancel plastic, but if they wouldn't have been happy with the final product then I'm glad they bit the bullet and dropped it.

That said, they have shown enough pics of the factory floor to give me confidence in their ability to do this in house. The details are superb and clean and the final models look amazing. And the more they do, the better they get. I think nixing plastic was probably the right idea for now.

That said, I'm glad to hear they are on track for late August with the first wave. They have been very communicative the whole time and the wealth of photos from the factory floor have been great for keeping my mind at ease. Even if they were delayed a couple months past their (perhaps too aggressive) June delivery estimate, I never felt like the project was in any danger because they always kept communication open (even for the hard choices, like the possibility plastic might have to be cancelled).

In either case, I have seen too many first-time Kickstarter campaigns (even from experience companies) get hung up on a single stretch goal, so Prodos deciding to drop the axe on plastics before it ended up consuming too much time for a subpar product was a better choice than forging ahead, eating all of the money raised just to check a box off a list (*cough* Ogre Garage!! *cough*). *ahem*

Something like that could kill a small start up, and I don't want to live through Warzone dying again.

But with that out of the way. Holy , those Free Marines are gorgeous. Hmm, I wonder what the feasibility of an army of only Banshees and Free Marines is? Because I think I may be starting a small Capitol collection after the rest of my stuff gets here.

Also worth noting that Prodos have dropped any idea of releasing any of this stuff in plastic

(hard/soft/restic/whatever)

as their tests have been unimpressive, so it's all going to be resin for the foreseeable future

Well goes in line with the resin>metal>plastic.

For them to have good results on plastic, they must specifically sculpt the models for plastic production and they will still not be as good as their resin.

Those models look great. It is sad that they will not be plastic. If they are made from a well formulated resin, then I will be happy. However, I have been working on the privateer and mantic stuff, and I am really tired of the 'plastic resins'.

So, who's going to try to revive Warzone after Prodos? Now's a good time for them to start planning.

I don't think sticking to resin for now will hurt them much at all.

Now, if they had gone with metal, that might have caused problems.

But the casts they've shown so far all look very nice to me.

I'm fine with resin, so long as it isn't Finecast.

But I want it noooow.

Kinda disappointed with he resin thing, I can say I wouldn't have pledged nearly as much if I knew I'd be stuck with a shipload of resin miniatures. I really really hate resin. The only material harder to transport than metal, at least metal models only chip, resin snaps. Metal models you might have to repaint, resin you'll have to repair and since the things that snap is usually thin things like weapons you'll have to pin them too.

I guess I misunderstood. I thought Warzone was a tabletop wargame, not a boutique collector's series. I can kind of see how changing up their rank and file models from plastic into a brittle, difficult to clean and paint, more expensive and possibly toxic medium won't have much effect on new sales. They'll probably do at least as well as...what's that other popular tabletop game where all the troop models are resin?

(I'm sorry if I seem a bit snarky. I'm just disappointed.)
