Can't think any launcher link. :/

The Launcher is the file you download from their website (FTB_Launcher.exe). You need to keep that file as it's the Launcher, not just an installer. If you've lost it, just download it again and then make a shortcut to it wherever you want.

So who was the person who decided to use my Mining World outpost as a way to not have to dig down to bedrock?

You left resources in your shaft (I find Nikolite to be precious), as well as darkness (which Angry Zombies seem to enjoy spawning in), and your menagerie of chests scattered throughout your ugly alteration to my mine.

As I said, it would be nice for you to give us a map link so we know which shaft is yours...

If you want a private mine in the shared mining age, you'd be better off heading much further from the nexus. Otherwise even if no-one actually uses your outpost, people are bound to run into your tunnels eventually.

On the test server we just had a nice big shared branch mine right outside the nexus and nobody "claimed" branch mines.

Having said that, as a PSA to everyone, if you're branch mining in the mining age and you don't light up your tunnels, then you are a bad person and you should feel bad. The perma day and lack of caves in the mining age means that any unlit tunnels become instant mob spawners as soon as you leave the area.

Light up your tunnels.

"I don't have torches" is not an excuse. There's free logs at spawn and you're almost always mining through coal. If you still don't have torches, then don't go mining until you do.

Secondly, when someone goes to the trouble of setting up a quarry, it's incredibly bad form for someone else to go into their quarry and start mining the ores before the quarry head gets to them. Do not do this.

Finally, those of you with quarries, please label your quarries, stick your name on them or identify them in some way. So that if they are spewing items, broken or griefed, we know who to contact.

Oh, and apparently there is very bad flux in the Mining Age, as I logged on to put signs up, and proceeded to begin being mauled by a lightning volley launched by a Whisp.

Are there any lighting sytems like the wrathlamp, but not the wrathlamp? I don't like the wrathfire graphics :( I had thought there were spotlights, but I guess they were from a different pack.

I may consider giving you your stuff back although to be fair you have already been told what could happen.

Also, why were you in my base in the first place?

there's a portal near spawn that drops you right in your area, I'm guessing this is the area that has a aboveground cobble wall about 5 blocks high that looks partly completed
You get spawned and are dead before the screen opens.

and you aren't going to consider giving his stuff back, you're going to do it or disable any portals within your area.

I think it was kind of answered with this

First off, he said he spawned in your base (a claim which can be verified), so he'd have to have entered it prior to the MFFS being set up.

Secondly, was the portal actually labelled in any way (can also be verified)? Were there any "Don't go through this" signs around it just in case someone didn't see the thread? Even if he didn't spawn there, wandering into an unlabelled portal of death isn't exactly his fault.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

I joined for about 10 minutes, checked out the cool starting machines, walked down some steps and into an age portal

POW DEAD, text was spammed with some sort of warning message
respawned about 600m away next to another bunch of age portals, walked back, saw a cobble wall-ish thing in the distance, zapped dead again, logged.

I could probably ham-fist my way around and/or find the portal, but there was most def. not a warning, and even if there was, you really shouldn't have a portal inside a death-zone, really, ever. To be honest I wouldn't want to see anything like that except to protect vaults deep underground or something, putting it in your build area so anyone wanding around gets nuked is asinine.

And there's really no reason to have one there- it's the Mega Build age- no mobs. And nobody really goes there anyways except to get mushroom stuff.

And Griefing is punishable by death anyways- MFFS's really only should be used for Fluff purposes, and ought to be well marked.

Actually... Hold on. I had 45 experience on me when I went to visit you. I might have lost it.
