Spawn's out of power. Who's the one who left a machine on? =P

I don't know how the things work, so I don't know how to turn off whatever's draining the power.

BTW: my lava generation system is having issues, I need some netherrack donations to red-red-red to keep lava production to spawn

Spawn's main source of power is biomass, so it may be a lack of dirt in the tree farm, or that the sand enderchest is full and backlogging the system. I should probably set a restriction tube to destroy any excess sand.

Last time I was at spawn it had about 13 blocks of dirt there. I only happened to have a single block on me so tossed it in anyway,

So spawn needs dirt.

Its a lack of dirt that was the cause. I stuck in a few stacks and I think it started itself up again. However it was taking too long to generate any power so I left it. An automated power source would be nice, but I doubt that would be as efficient.

Hey Iustis, I have three thermal engines and a gas turbine engine set up. The turbine engine you can power by putting water cells in to the electrolyzer, then the electrolyzed cells back in. Takes six cells to make four hydrogen cells and two empty cells (well, one is compressed air, but not much you can do with that) IIRC. Thermal engines take lava cells or buckets. The turbine engine is renewable, while the thermal engine provides a bit more power.

Problem is, I don't know if you actually produce any excess energy with the electrolyzer/gas turbine effect. Maybe if we had methane cells...

Cow shard- beef can be turned into Methane.

And the various Rapture places use compressed air for their scuba systems.

The soul shard mod is vaguely magical I suppose... the jist of it is you kill mobs with a soul shard on your hotbar and the shard slowly fills up with the souls of said mobs, when it reaches a certain threshold you are able to turn it into a spawner for said mob.

After that you can process the beef using an industrial centrifuge from gregtech to produce methane cells.

A lot of trouble to go through for fart-in-a-can.

Or you could use a Feeder, and figure out some way of automatically re-filling the feeder and culling the herd while leaving at least two cows there. Or use the Tech version of a mob spawner (which is slower, takes power, and is just generally clunkier). But yeah.

Clay can also be made into gaseous fuel of some sort, I think. So if you can get a bunch of clay bees (River, I think?)

Methane production is pretty easy to automate if I had some help I can provide it.to everyone for free power with gas turbines

As for lava-> netheracct thing, its actually easier for me than moving around a pump, my lava supply has only dropped 1000 or so buckets since I started supplying spawn as a supplement to darks pumping, however as I start to provide more community resources I need to step up production.

This weekend I should be able to get my recycling center operational, which will let me provide even more. I'm going to try and setup an offshoot of the trading center with information about public supplies and my needs to provide them, ive been spending the last week or so converting most of my production line from pipes to enderchests and timers to reduce lag and allow more integration, soon i'll let people start hooking up to my various supply chests, as long as people don't go nuts with high-input machinery I should be able to provide TONS of free stuff, since my sorting center is massive and sprawling I can take other peoples factory output, like wheat for example, and provide the biofuel with liquid tessaracts, so we dont have to have so many factories and chunk loaders all over the place, I can make it all happen myself..

I /really/ need a ton of those golems and beacons to make it happen though, its the only realistic way of getting 1 stack of a bunch of items in a chest for people to take from, having someone to help with some machinery would be great too, i'll try and take down the sentry guns later today.

What kind of golems do you want grundz?

I'll see if I can get some Advanced Clay and Stone golems for you.

Pretty sure I just needed stone, the ones I can say "put 1 stack of this item in the beacon chest" for each barrel i assign them to

strength would be best to reduce lag/number of trips

For a very cheap "only keep one stack in here" chest, just use a plain vanilla furnace. Just don't put coal in the bottom so you don't cook the items and the most it can hold is 64

I don't see any recipe for that. I'll keep looking next time I'm on.

If I had a the chemical machine (forgot its name) I could just combine carbon and hydrogen for it... that one is a bit more difficult and I'm still not sure about how energy-efficient the process would be.

If we had the gold for it (8 blocks), we could make a gold apple and centrifuge that, apparently it doesn't consume the apple...

Can't use a Golden Nugget gold apple?

Advanced golems cant be upgraded with a special core such as strength or intelligence.


If its just one type of item you need moved a clay golem with a stength upgrade would be best I reckon.

We should have two in the fridge in the kitchen.

And a shard is a diamond cooking in the soul forge. Takes about 11 minutes but we get 3 per diamond.

I managed to make two ender tanks, hopefully I'll be able to use them to power the thermal generators now. Not sure how I'll do it mind you.

No, I'm working on timers and need 3 more industrial centrifuges to get production to around 1 bucket/minute or so where its actually usable Right now its only 1 bucket / 2 minutes or so

at that point once the storage container fills to about 50% I'll hook up a valve that layer to a liquid tessaract or ender tank for community use, so if you guys overuse I still have my supply.

as these things come online I'll setup a command center off the trade area in spawn so people can hook up or get info on what channel is what.

If someone can direct rotting flesh and applies to ender chest red red pink i can make sure supply doesn't run out

I managed to brush up against the portal in the spawn room and after a bit of laggy bouncing around between rooms ended up sufficating in a wall. Ive managed to get most of my stuff back but i cant find my power glove nor my trousers - is there any chance i could please have them reset?

Well, I know there's a couple Zombie Grinders, so we should be able to get you all the Rotten Flesh you could ever want. We'll probably have to re-route one of the Brain Golems for that purpose in the Zombie Tower at spawn- and I'll start dropping you from my personal store- I got a couple chests full right now, from level grinding.

My magma pump isn't working. Not sure why. I'll have to figure it out later.

From the comments section in the FtB wiki, however, this appears to be a common problem with buildcraft pumps.
