So that means Mining Age and Deep Dark, plus the vanilla ones (Nether and End)?

Seems reasonable.

Actually I wouldn't mind claiming a column/stalagmite in the Deep Dark to play with sometime.

The new ATG does look nice, but finding a nice flat spot is a nightmare. Terraforming will be required for my base

I think I'll probably be the one to make the Deep Dark portal. How many Octuple Compressed Cobblestone does it take again?

I thought it was one quintuple in the centre, unstable ingots in the corners, and quadruple in the gaps?

Unstable ingots? Booo.

Buut, I suppose I'll have to make do. I think the Deep Dark is where I wanna have my main base, this time. Though I'll still set up a Mages Tower at 0,0 if people want it.

Nodes do generate in there. You could have a Bastion of Light in the Deep Dark as your mage tower, at 0,0. Then you have the best of both worlds. Just think of the fun you could have with an Arcane Bore in there.

Hope arcane bores work better in thaumcraft 4, they were buggy as hell in 3.

Dark Eldar- 1500pts Completed
Grey Knights- 1500pts 1 Guy done
Chaos Daemons- Approx 5000pts
Slaanesh Daemons- 1500pts, in progress
Khorne Daemons- 1500pts, in progress
Death Korps of Krieg- Plans being formulated.

High Elves- Approx 2000pts

I'm afraid I can't really help- Arcane Bores are awesome but they're almost the only thing in Thaumcraft I like, so I've never made on legit. I use them in creative occasionally though.

I'm assuming we're running Thaumic Tinkerer and KAMII? Those two add a vast amount of utility to Thaumcraft, including armour on par with Quantum.

I believe we aren't using Thaumic Tinker, it's dialed by default
(Dark said he will enable Blood Magic and Biomes 'o Plenty)

That seems odd, it isn't disabled by default in the Direwolf20 pack I'm using at the moment and I think we've had it on the server in the past.

It seems to be disabled in Monster by default. I've certainly not enabled it.

Weird, it's a really good add-on to Thaumcraft. I suppose you could consider the KAMII stuff to be overpowered, but it's designed as endgame equipment not unlike Industrialcraft's quantum armour that it is on par with.

Maybe it's disabled by default because it isn't fully compatible with the current version of Thaumcraft? I haven't used thaumic tinker in ages so I'm unsure if it has been updated to work properly with TC4.

If it has then who knows why it is disabled, other than the ftb team.

It was partially redesigned to be TC4 compatible and has been regularly updated since then, I can't think of any reason for it to be disabled

As I said before it's enabled by default on the latest Direwolf20 pack,, which is almost identical to the core FTB packs.

Anyone know of a way to split the contents of an inventory evenly across several others? I want to create a system which is able to send, say, an even amount of one item to all the chests in the system, while not removing another type of item. For the removing of only one type of item i plan to use Emerald pipes, but i am willing to look into most other transport systems. Exception being thaumcraft.

Yep, I will give out the link when requested via PM (I don't want everyone and their dog downloading the world and eating all the server bandwidth).

4oursword wrote:Will there be a map like the other worlds?

Yes. Soon.

dsteingass wrote:Any idea how long until this is stable, recommended and ready to go?

The Monster pack? Stable and Recommended? No idea. This server will be a temporary server until then. Hopefully they won't make any drastic changes and we can continue the world, but assume the worst and that a world reset will be required before Monster becomes stable and recommended.

Corpsesarefun wrote:I'm assuming we're running Thaumic Tinkerer and KAMII? Those two add a vast amount of utility to Thaumcraft, including armour on par with Quantum.

Contrary to what's being said, Thaumic Tinkerer is enabled by default. The confusion may lie with KAMI being a separate mod - Thaumic Tinkerer KAMI is not Thaumic Tinkerer. Only KAMI is disabled by default. Also those of you trying out Monster should make sure you're selecting the 1.0.9 version from the dropdown box (I'm not sure what version is currently set as "Recommended").

I was going to leave KAMI disabled, but I'm willing to enable it unless there are any objections?

No clue what KAMI does?

KAMI is extra items for Thaumic Tinkerer (which itself is extra items for Thaumcraft). It's disabled by default because some of the items are can be considered overpowered (like the Quantum-like armor mentioned earlier). However, as all the items require extensive Thaumcraft research and are costly to craft, many argue that the overpowered items are balanced properly.

People who aren't into Thaumcraft probably don't care or have Tech items that do the same things. People who like Thaumcraft probably want it for the extra content it adds.

That said, I haven't had time to pour over every item in the mod, so if someone has any objection to a particular item, let me know.

Thanks Dark, TTKAMI adds quite a few useful items but nothing more game-breaking than what's already in FTB.

I don't mind if KAMI is disabled, but if it is enabed then all the more power to magic!

(in other words, I'm neutral on the matter)
