Well turns out dinner was a bad idea, cost us both our laptops an iPod, a Wii and who knows what else. Thought we lived in a nicer part of town too.

Thanks guys =/ Probably a crime of opportunity, some kid within a neighborhood or two, but maybe not. The biggest thing was pictures on the various devices, even if we managed to get the items back the pictures are probably gone.

Oh well this is a hobby time blog so not much point posting stuff like this here. I'll be back in working order sooner or later.

Well, happily we loaded up another iThingie and I guess it saves the cameraroll to the cloud up to a certain amount so all nearly 900 of my wife's pictures were intact. Still lost some stuff on the laptops and probably some music from the other thing but that was the most irreplaceable bit.

Still hoping they get the sucker. I'd take getting our stuff back, but it isn't such a big deal without all of those pictures missing.


Still gotta finish my shasvastii, almost did but I've got FFT emulated on my phone and I was kind of zombieing out playing that for hours the last two days.

Heh. Well see I ended up putting final fantasy tactics on my phone and that's kind of absorbed all of my free time since I did it Forgot how much I enjoy playing the game.

Soon though, the Gwailos has been ''almost done'' for nearly a week, and I'm looking forward to painting the rest.

Sorry to hear about the theft. The equipment is always replaceable. Good thing the photos were backed up. Maybe the iPod is traceable too? I know Android devices have that ability. Eventually the police will catch the thieves.

Indeed. I don't usually get into them quite as much lately as I have in the past. FFT is a soft spot for me though.

And it's always easier to play a game than paint.

So I got the Gwailos and two of his buddies done, just have two more to go and I'm done with shasvastii till I get some for xmas or I get some more bonus points on my amazon account

I'll get pictures tomorrow, they're still drying and need to go on their proper bases, and the shrouded lost his gun during the spin phase of the dipping process. First time I've had a break during that process though, so it's not all bad.

Think I may do something a bit more bulk-style next. Maybe a few martian grunts? Don't hold me to it, I'm kind of in a do-what-i-please-or-play-fft-instead phase right now I am gonna have to get cracking on the samurai dio sooner than later though...

What makes me laugh is gwai lo sounds like a chinese word for white people who's literal translation is white devil / ghost person.

@Adamsouza bwahaha. Yeah they're just slimy alien infinity models, quite liking painting them right now.

@Carlos, that's exactly why they're called that. Foreign devil or whatever, the Yu Jing forces ran into them and called them that. Same for how the Asuwangs are a kind of vampire in a certain country's folklore, a lot of the Shasvastii units are named after monsters, ghosts, and goblins

I didn't know that was part of the fluff.

Haven't read the fluff as I don't have the book they show up in, but the descriptions on the CB website seemed to suggest it for at least a few of them.

Good to hear you're making progress! Are you going for a Shasvastii Sectoral or going to throw in some other CA stuff?

Yep, gonna do the sectorial. I mean, I could probably pick up some other CA stuff and run vanilla no problem, I haven't got too many of any one shasvastii thing that I couldn't.

So far the rest of the CA line doesn't interest me. I thought I liked morats for awhile, and I kind of do, but there are too many other things I want way more. Like Morlocks, and the Uberfallkommando.

Then I kind of want to consider getting the Pan-O neoterra capataline defense army starter or whatever it's callled. Though I'm still kind of torn and almost wanna use mantic models to do that just 'cause I can lol.

Gonna go get those latest 3 models onto their bases. May take pictures, may need to wait for the sun to come up a little better for proper shots.
