Spoiler:

Please be the new plastic... That would totally get me to finish my Cygnar to 50 points.

The Vengence jacks are all gonna be the new plastic I believe. Dynamo is metal and resin though but he is a character.

Yup. They stated at WMW that all mechanically based plastic models(starting with the TEP) will be using the new plastic.

More great news. Now the other thing I want to hear is that all new production runs of previously released mechanical subjects will be slowly re-released in the new plastic.

Balance in pick up games? Two people, each with their own goals for the game, design half a board game on their own without knowing the layout of the board and hope it all works out. Good luck with that. The faster you can find like minded individuals who want the same things from the game as you, the better.

I'd assume that'll happen, but it might take a fair amount of time - changing production methods can take years, but I'm sure they'll get around to it as moulds wear out.

If it's all outsourced, the switch can be more rapid than having to wait for moulds to wear out.

Yeah. Exactly. Do you see this guy in a metal or even leather corset? Me neither.

Since they're sticking with PVC for organics and they didn't say or even imply that they were going to re-work the older stuff, I'm not going to assume anything. It'd probably be more work than it's worth for them.

Hunters Grim is not wearing a corset, and neither is Jarl Skuld. That is a pretty different garment from a breastplate, with very different uses an very different thematic associations. The few extra pieces of armor on Jarl and Grim just makes them look armored up.

Pity about only using good plastic on mechanicals. My only real interests in Warmahordes is normally organics from Hordes. Trollbloods in particular. I just loathe the metal models and their pvc is just horrible if the starters are anything to go by.

I'd be interested but not till they expand more into the plastic range.

They've said they haven't ruled out the good plastic on organics. I'm guessing they just want to get it right, and mechanical stuff is a lot easier to make convincing in that plastic than organic shapes, so Id rather they took their time and did it right.

Hybrid Son Of Oxayotl - please start a separate topic on this in whatever section of the forum is appropriate, if you actually feel you have to start and/or participate in yet another one of these, and do not continue to drag this one off topic.

Privateer has always been a financially conservative company, so I expect a slow roll out of the new plastic, just like they had a slow roll out of the PVC plastic. Unless the sales don't justify it, I really don't see why it won't eventually become the normal plastic for them given enough time. And "enough time" is going to be years, just like it was for the PVC. I just don't see them jumping into hard plastic for everything like Wyrd did for Malifaux.

I didn't make it, just linked it. I'm guessing the third leg was used to make terrain.

So apparently we got a new Khador jack coming up. No stats released yet.
I really hope it's Butcher's character jack.

Lots of Orgoth symbols there, probably Zerkova's or possibly the Butchers.

Also, it's no ordinary wolf skin there On the shoulder

I'm getting a Butcher or maybe Old Witch vibe from that jack. Either way, it's looking pretty damn savage.

Very nice to see PP moving to hard plastics. I'm hoping that one of the by products of this is that the end result models will more closely match the digital sculpts, which is a lot easier to do with hard plastic than with PVC (and its also a higher quality material, IMHO). I think it will really help them to maintain an end result product that more closely matches their art direction and design intent. That's always been a bit of a "hit or miss" nature with PP's models - the art direction and design intent are always flawlessly gorgeous, but then the final model tends to be very hit or miss.

For instance, the trollblood and everblight stuff (mostly) tends to be right on target, where the retribution stuff is very spotty. See also Kayazy assassins (not sure if they ever remade these, but the original metals looked like Khador's High Kommand took riders of a short bus and put knives in their hand and released a propaganda campaign about them being deadly killers).

This is a great move for them overall I think. If they can get their plastics in line with the quality i'm used to in plastic kits, i might pick the game up again.

It might be for Old Witch now that you mention it. She figures a bit in the Exigence fluff as a frenemy of Wormwood, so maybe she is about to become more active after getting pissy about the dragon issue.

I had heard from other places that it was Butcher's jack, but not with any source for confirmation.

The Witch already has Scrapjack though... On the other hand The Warpwolf Skin hints to her, she´s Khadors primary anti Circle character.

The Scrapjack is not an Affinity Warjack, it's a Companion Warjack.

Or maybe it's for an eWitch. She dumps scrapjack and gets this one to replace him.

I continue to hope for a Zerkova alligned Warjack that uses Orgoth tech to let it cast it's controller's spells using the Focus that's been Allocated to it in the same manner as Deathjack. For the Affinity, let it use one of her Orgoth relics when it does so.
