To be honest, i haven't the slightes clue. I had the ectoplasma cannons of the forgefiend in mind as i started them. I could try to mount some gun barrels into their mouths and use them as whatever sticks out of them.
Or maybe use them as some sort of power fist counts as. Massive teethed mouths taking a bite out of their enemies.
A flamer might also work...
What would you use them for?
And i also have a small update for you. Most of my work was going into my termies but at least i did a little bit of work on the spider rhino top.

Thank you.
And sorry but my updates will be pictureless until the weekend because my parents are on a tour and took the camera with them.
I've made a second set of moulds and a few casts.
I have 6 different base moulds now and 3 further unfinished bases that i might cast as well.
I also made a nearly perfect cast of my head sprue with only a few air bubbles. A massive improvement over the first two sets i cast.

I have a camera again and so an new update for you.
I cast the lascannon i build - with mixed result. I had much problems with air bubbles and carving more and more air vents into the mould wasn't enough to get rid of them all. But it was a different piece to cast. The handle was my biggest problem. I had no cast where this area was ok (as you can see). The energy coils on the barrel and the tanks on the back of the gun also had much problems with air. But i GS'ed all holes and this is the result:
I rather like them. They are slightly smaller than the regular ones and i can use them with regular bolter arms. I just have to build and then cast a matching backpack and maybe a cable connection.
I also started to build a few legs for them so that i can add 4 lascannon havocs into my army. But i still have to decide what to do with the other 2 weapons.
Those legs will get some mechanical parts to match the style of my other havoc marines.
Sadly i didn't do much on the spider rhino front. But at least i have a little bit of progress i can show you. Those 3 milliput lumps will be armored up and the last one will lead into an abdomen sticking further out of the back of the rhino chasis. And i plan on mounting the predator turret on top of this abdomen with a custom build magnetized sponson. The side sponsons will also be magnetized.
And i decided to go on with my terminator base and don't change the idea or pose. With the pistol and the broken sword she doesn't look that helpless anymore. The tricky part now is to assemble the model. I'd prefer to keep base and model seperated for painting. But i fear it will be impossible as the terminator is grabing her by her head and hair. Maybe i have no other choise then to fully assemble before painting.

I don't think that i'm that good.
But to be honest i played with the thought on creating a few more SOB and maybe cast them. But that would mean adding even more projects. And i don't know if i have the time to do that as well without dropping the stuff i do with my chaos models.

Thanks.
I always toyed with the idea of another army - either SoB or a Zerg themed tyranid force. And guess what, i actually started working on a few SoB sculpts inspired by the one i added on the base. I'll try to make them multi-part like my possessed terminator sculpts but i can't guarantee for anything. Maybe i'll put some pictures up somewhere when i actually have something to show in that regard. What I'll try to do is keep the style and most of the propotions of the metal models - just with arms, torso, legs and heads seperate pieces. I might have to create my own weapons too as the newer plastic ones might be slightly to large. But i'll have to see how everything comes out. (Knowing myself they'll probably end up larger than i anticipated. )
And i also assembled the first of my lazcannons. I also build a custom backpack for it. I'm quite happy how it turned out. The cannon can be used without much reposing on normal bolter arms like i planed. And the backpack also looks fine. I just have to add some cableing from it to the weapon, possibly as a seperate piece.
And i also did some mayor work on my spider rhino. I really like the idea of those small spinnerets on the abdomen.

Out of interest, how are you going to represent the top hatch on the Rhino? The ability to fire out of the vehicle is pretty nifty after all.

Well i ordered from different shops in germany. I've got most of my plasticard and plasticard rods from an architects supplier and my tools are from a larger miniature hobby shop (battlefield berlin) or ebay. ANd the putty i use - milliput standard and GS - can be ordered on most miniature shops. Edit: I just notices that my little flag icon is USA rather than germany. Strange ...

Sorry for not updating that much anymore. But i can't find much hobby time and the energy to work on my army currently. But to show that i'm still at it here is at least something for you.
Another thing that is in the way of working on my chaos marines is this little sculpting side project with those SoB. (But to be honest, working on them got a little bit more fun and variation back into my hobby. And i hope that it'll help me motivate myself more. )
I'll try to find more time and energy to work on my models but i can't guarantee anything.

Havent checked this blog in a good while, but once again doom I am very impressed Your sculpting skills are V.nice. I am very amazed with the amount of detail you manage to sculpt in one go without letting it harden (telling as each mix is a slightly different shade...thus I can see which is sculpted when :p). I am struggling to get that much detail in each go, as it tends to move around too much
Very impressed Termie looks awesome and the lasguns came out really nice (despeite your statement about bubbles).

Well you can't guess the working steps based on color. Most of the time i only add small detail parts. It might look otherwise because of matching shades.
For example the bionic leg on the left took probably 10 different steps of details.
And the problem with the lascannon is with the handles. I had only one of my 6 casts where the handles where useable without resculpting. The one i used on the picture even has a completely plasticard replacement to go over the right hand.
I think i need to invest in a small vacuum chamber or build my own to get the air out of the resin. Then i could even think on casting and selling a few of those bitz if you guys are interested.

That's a lot.
I haven't thought of casting normal marine parts as there are already much variations of that out there. So if i'd do something like that it would need to be more themed. Maybe some more slaanesh specific marine parts. (I'm doing this as a hobby and not a professional so i'll have to have a use of the parts myself. )
But should i try to create something like that i'll need to finish my possessed terminator project first as well as my experiments with SoB sculpts.
And to be honest i'm in a bit of lazy regarding my hobby the last months. So if you want those stuff worked on you have some serious motivation to do.

Minor update and a few questions.
But first off if have created a P&M blog for my sideproject my sisters of battle sculpts here if you are interested: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/543498.page
And here is my update on my spider rhino. I finished the setup of the segmented armor (some edges might need some sharpening though). Now i need to add the decoration and stuff. But before that i need a mount for the weapons build and added properly. And that is still something i'm thinking about.
I have different options for the mount. I could use a normal predator/razorback piece and cut it out from there. This would allow me to mount even normal GW guns there. But it would cover most of the armor i created on the abdomen. On the other hand i could build my own mounting system. It yould be smaller and as i planed on creating my own turrets it might be a better option. But also more time consuming.
The other thing is how the turret options should look like. I plan on building both predator and rhino. So maybe magnetizing a hatch there with a combi bolter or alternatively the predator turret. The whole turret is supposed to be noise themed. What i could do i create a turret similar to a predator and just replace the guns with either a large noise weapon(normal cannon) or or a large double barreled blast master(lazcannon)
But then i found this cool picture:
And i thought to myself why not create something like that. The idea i came up with was a daemonette sitting on some kind of techy chair pluged into a large gun mount on one side. Then i could magnetize this mount and switch the weapons out. And i could even build a massive sonic weapon like on the picture and count it as a vindicator - a massive short ranged bunker busting noise blast cannon to shatter even the strongest fortifications into dust.
Something like that, just with weapons only on one side and a daemonette sitting in the center.
What do you think?

It's a good idea, but some people may take issue with it due to WYSIWYG (Vindicator's Demolishor Cannons are generally mounted in their hulls as opposed to a turret). Just bear that in mind.
Cool idea though.
