I really think GW should produce a Nagash miniature like they did with Harry the Hammer or The white dwarf. Maby do rules but I'm not fussed. I would just love to see it!

They already made one. It made men scream, women weep, and kittens claw out the eyes of children.

Grom may be silly but he's not even close.

On an Express Elevator to Hell!!

Interesting story (not sure if true though! ) - I heard that Nagash was originally sculpted with a cowl, so that his face wasn't visible (imagine - something like the Ring Wraiths from LoTR). But, someone higher up wanted him to have a recognisable/skeletal face and, well, the rest is history and what so often happens when management types interfere in the artistic process.

I think Grom is actually a really cool model, and actually still sits strongly amongst pretty much anything else in the range

Unless of course you have something against 'big boned' people Sigvatr?

I like the over-abundance of skulls in warhammer esp. if said skull happens to be on a cod-piece. That basically equals out to skull-f*cking a skull.

In semi related news. I was able to snag the figure for like 7 USD from a store that was about to stop selling used warhammer figures. Best wort paperweight evar. I was thinking of using it in my VC army as a counts as vhargulf or something.

The funny this as well is that he was absolutely bad-ass in the old rules.. so you used to see loads of him!

I reckon we should write up a little petition and then send it to GW telling them we will take legal action if they don't make a new one on the account of the amount eyeless children and weeping women...

But then they'd counter sue saying that somehow thought of weeping and eyelessness before these children and women and that they must cease and desist.

What was going on a decade ago that caused all models produced to be so sarcastic... I mean come on.

I did notice that they did leave quite a few models and pictures/profiles out of the Tomb Kings book.

Their lawyers will claim they actually owned the idea of using people in the first place and simply lost the paperwork, then a week later God will get a strongly worded letter explaining to him how them owning the copyright was part of the original contract and they would like him to sign over the rights 'again' immediately.

Oh, I certainly vote with my dollar, but the problem is that that is not enough. The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that.

He was insanely good. He was almost as choppy as a Bloodthirster and as good at magic as Amon Ch'akai, the special character LoC.

Well its Nagash, I'd expect no less than one of the most powerful men of all of warhammer!

It would be like fielding Sigmar or something

And that's why he won't get done again. Though I think it was a huge missed opportunity not doing him as a Storm of Magic special character. If ever there was a book to reinclude him, it was Storm of Magic. In fact, they missed a huge opportunity bringing a super powerful caster for each race in, and focused on the monsters, which while nice, wasn't the overall focus of the expansion.

He's akin to fielding a Primarch, in particular, Magnus the Red, but against people with pointy bits of metal rather than semi automatic grenade launchers and shoulder mounted lasers of doom.

Except Amon's fluff specifically spelled him out as the most powerful LoC and the most powerful magic user ever known.

It's rumored that he's the reason the Druchii ended up in Khemri to teach Nagash in the first place.

Unfortunately, it seems Kairos has replaced him as Tzeentch's favorite. Really disappointing, cause he's one of my favorite characters in Fantasy(he actually has a personality independent of Tzeentch, which is rare/unheard of for Greater Daemons).

Nagash i used long ago in a battle against my brother's empire army. I remember him being awesome (not the figure) and he actually got into a fight against Karl Franz... which ended in Karl Franz becoming a Wight. My other friend who has huge empire army discounted that and said Karl Franz would never be turned into a Wight.. even though it happened lol... at least in game I played .
