I keep leaning that way too. I wanted to wait and see - I love the cover on it, but it's not like it will even get used for me. I wouldn't want to ruin it.
I also wish the pictures for the LE 'dex didn't look like they were taken in an 80's brothel
I agree. Part of me wonders if they did that to show the transparency of the slip cover or what. Think I'm gonna end up passing though. Spend the money on more models instead.

Maybe I'm leaping to conclusions a bit here, but the Razorshark Strike Fighter seems pretty useless to me. compared to the bomber, it shifts the Ion weapons off the drones onto it's tail turret which can't fire forward properly, swaps a networked markerlight for a burst cannon, and then drops the bombing setup and the (Twin-Linked?) Missile pods. I just fail to see how the Fighter is meant to secure the skies better than the Bomber whose Ion weapons have more practical traversal and are potentially accompanied by additional S7 shots from the missiles at the back, not to mention the ability to use a Markerlight hit to deny a Jink from a Flyer that is expected to Evade, and/or used to fire a seeker missile in addition to the rest of the firepower. The Strike Fighter seems useful for hunting light ground vehicles and not much else. edit: Having said all that, I like the flyers a lot more in full 360 than I thought I would, so I'm pretty high on the bomber at this point in time as you might suspect.

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).

The riptide seems a bit of a let down...
It seems more defensive than anything going off the wargear in the description.
Maybe used as mobile cover?

Only thing i can think of is perhaps the interceptor drones may only be able to fire at air targets but i don't have the book stats.

Looking at the sprues is interesting. Pathfinder sprue looks to be pretty densely packed. Only problem I can see is that the rail rifle and ion rifle look like they'll be a bear to use for anything other than their default pose.
Looks like the specialist rifles come three to a pack, and the vanes on the back of the ion rifle open while it's overcharging.
Drone parts I can spot on the sprue are grav inhibitor, pulse accelerator, gun, shield, markerlight. Kind of sad they didn't make a separate drone sprue. Although I can potentially take the multiple drones I already have from FW sets and build all six.
Also note that the particle accelerator is also present on the 3M broadside. I wonder if it's some kind of overcharge wargear.

Maybe, my assumption was just that it would have Hover mode, that's what Vetock did with the Dark Angels flyers, the Bomber has a bunch of extra thrusters underneath and has the Hover Strike special rule, while the Fighter without them is just a normal flyer. Automatically Appended Next Post:
Owch, it's only $90 in Australia, or $94 US at current exchange rates, as opposed to $98 US for the Canadian price.

I'm liking the broadside more and more, except for the missile variant obviously...and I don't like that big seeker missile glued to its back. And I wish the guns were mounted on both shoulders instead of just the one. But other than all that, lol...
Although sadly it looks like the kit isn't very pose-able. The legs appear to be molded in that default kneeling pose. Looks like it might have some extra bits though, like aerials and stuff, so customizing other suits with the leftovers might be kinda fun.
Other sad news is that the crisis kit is obviously the exact same kit but in a three-pack now, not even a re-cut.
Farsight looks fething awesome. I don't know about those streamers honestly, but I love the model. Shame it's Finecast and has a $50 price tag...that's a pretty big gamble.
Pathfinders are alright, no real complaints there.
Not sure if the generic commander is worth it. Finecast, so again another big gamble...is it just me or is that price fething stupid, by the way? Seriously, $41...not $39.99 or $40 even, but $41. Because they have to squeeze that extra fething dollar out of every sale I guess? It's almost insulting.
Still not sold on the flyer, wouldn't buy one unless I was hit by a stroke of genius and wanted to cut it all apart and build something new. The riptide...I still don't like the design or even the idea of it that much, but I wouldn't say I'd never get one (though I'd probably never pay $85 for it if I did). Mine would have to be very heavily modified I think, and the first thing to go would be those aerials sticking out of his ankles I think.

Still torn on the broadsides. Part of me likes the model, the other part of me is "You'll need to buy three of them, which is $120 after discount, and you don't know if they're any good." and a third part of me just keeps playing the Konig Monster scene from Macross Frontier over and over again.

I don't like its base being 40mm. It's imossible to have it on top of the Bastion w/ a Qaud-gun. I hope it will at least be able to deploy inside the Bastion. Perhaps a cheap gun-drone can operate one of the Heavy Bolters.
I plan to use my old Broadsides and switch out the base, though I might be forced to buy the newer one if I got to major tournaments.
The model for the new Broadside is fantastic, but the base size and price is not.
