I am totally stealing this concept from life after the cover save podcast so giving those dudes credit first and foremost ... it got me really thinking on a nostalgia coupled with hobby assessment. I assume a large portion of the human population is familiar with the Indian in the cupboard junior novel, and if not I shall lay it out. A young man places his indian and cowboy figurines within a piece of furniture that brings them to life, resulting in wackiness. Obliviously this discussion refers to whom of your minis would you place in and why? I'm going by the fictionfluff rules, your mini will enter your reality with all knowledge of the fiction/history surrounding them, so any questions you have about anything they have been privy to in their existence is pertinent, powers and abilities, bonuses, psykers, they are now your 30mm familiar, little companion or perhaps pet if you choose a creature of some sort. Personnaly, I want a mini Njal, cant wait to see the look on that muggers face as he reaches for my wallet and a little dude on my wrist uses jaws and drops him into a chasm... much love my peeps.

Orks sound risky though, they would probably spore all over the place and turn your car into a death machine that takes over the earth...

Yeah I thought about the risk, and then decided to do it anyways. Comedy would ensue and I would get a killer car.

Hmmm, just about any 40k fig would be risky. I don't really want to be purged by my Templars, or infected by my Death Guard.

So I would probably go with some Tau. They seem like the only army that wouldn't try to kill me or worse.

I think I posted on a thread just like this a few weeks ago..but...

I would put all 40K+pts of orks I have in there, paint my face green, stomp the warboss flat, and declare myself biggest and greenest, then I would begin the worlds most entertaining pest exterminating service, by sending my boyz into vermin infested homes and let them wage pest-warfare.

And then I would put my earth caste tau technicians in and have them make me tiny blueprints for AI chip boards, or just let them upgrade my computer .

You in fact did so sir..,... in said thread i advocated for putting tau in the cupboard and having them build me gadgets.....

Hmmm... I would put in Sgt. Altarius Tuttle, my sergeant, and Marneus Calgar (who i dont really own), and maybe a techmarine or two with some Tau earth caste. Tuttle and Calgar so i can talk strategies and stuff. Techmarines and Earth Caste so i can get upgrades and gadgets.

I'd scratch build some stuff. For example... plant people, sentient machines that roll around in ball form, but transform into insect like things, Ork fighters, a deff dread remote control station, 2 deff dreads(and a mold for them)

The plant people are awesome at inventing. Like a hybrid earth caste ad mech.

Insect like ball things. That sounds like the Bohrok from Bionicle my good sir.

I'd stick a carnifex in there and keep it as a pet. Either that or a Tyranid Warrior. I think a Hive Tyrant would be too smart to really control and probably strong enough to break out of a terrarium. Tyranid warrior might be trainable but a Carnifex would be like owning a super aggressive gold fish.

A Hormagaunt farm might be cool to have too.

It'd be cool to drop some Tau engineers in there, see what they could build for me. They would lack weapons until we came to a deal, though, since even mini-sized, plasma and railguns would hurt. Same goes for ork meks, but I wouldn't want to risk accidentally having him spore all over the place and screw over the world.

A carnefex to go in a terrarium would be cool as hell, though. I'd definitely go extremely overboard on the thickness of the glass/safety measures, though

I'd avoid anything Chaos/Ork/Dark Eldar/Spawning Tyranid, since the chance of screwing over the world with exponential growth is too much to risk.

The Seraphs of Thunder: a homebrew, almost entirely converted successor Deathwing. And also some Orks. And whatever else I have lying around.

Yeah... this sounds like a bad idea. If anyone here remembers the book, the main character's friend was being an idiot and put a bunch of toy soldiers in it... which proceeded to open fire on them and cause quite a few pin-prick wounds on them. And that was just modern military, not xeno-phobic fascists IN SPACE.

Ork Big Mek.

He'd be fun, able to build all sorts of crazy and would be dumb enough for me to control, after all I'm da biggest so I'm da boss.

Failing that a SM Librarian of some description, he'd be able to read my mind and understand who I was and what was going on, instant trust, friendship and powers to abuse in the name of the emperor.... and me.
