If you're seeing the GUO in your meta... Zoggie ain't a bad choice.

Otherwise, what army(ies) do you have?

Zog's curse ONLY works on independent characters, which GUOs aren't.

His snakes and 2+ poison might work in CC though

6 TH/SS termies on the charge should do 6 wounds on average minus what he saves. Over 2-3 rounds of combat they should kill him although it would be risky.

About the only answer my list has is the vanquisher's beast hunter shells. Then again, if it gains EW then I am in trouble. It would then come down to weight of fire.

W/o Iron Arm you deal with him through simple weight of fire. W/ IA you simply ignore him, keep him at distance and kill the rest of the army.

Killing nurgle daemons with poisoned attacks is very effective and super funny. Most armies have some sort of poisoned weapon or a weapon that wounds on 2+

Ignore him. He's to slow unless you pin your opponent in place with other units. The no running thing is a death sentence for him.

I think daemons and tyranids will be easy piece for dark eldars. For space wolves bring a rune priest to shut down his biomancy.

I would like to se nids going toe to toe vs daemons, it was a good matchup in the old days for the nids. Do not know about now.
It's a fairly ugly matchup for Daemons now. Shadow in the Warp can be painful when most of your shooting relies on Psychic tests.

My son runs two Flyrants at 1850+, and the amount of S:6 fire they can put out is silly.

Ignore him.
Hes far too slow to even get near you before the game ends, and if he does, your doing something wrong.

If your hellbent on killing him though, weight of fire works wonders.
Its only when he gains EW or iron arm you have a real issue to kill him, and even then its not impossible.

So he deepstrikes.
Move away from him and keep ignoring him.
He is one of the slowest models in the game.

Hex rifle would be great or just massed poison. I don't know what his armour save is, but as a DE player, I don't think I'd be too worried about him.

Stuff like Lootas and Long Fangs that move lose a lot of their efficiency (well, maybe not Lootas, but you get the point). What if he's threatening to take your objective from you? What if he plants himself squarely between you and the Relic?

Agreed. The best use for him is to Deep Strike off a Nurgle squad's Icon, so he can appear in one of multiple places (where he's most needed) and doesn't scatter. He can then threaten slow moving or stationary units, and take important terrain or objectives away from your opponent. He can also reach combat more easily if a given enemy unit has been locked in combat by another friendly unit, like Nurglings or Plaguebearers or something.
