It did seem like more of "studio plus a small shop" rather than "shop + some studio fellows" outing for them this year. I found what I wanted but only after sussing different items were stacked behind one another on the hangers.

I received a sprue with my Stug Zug I received this morning, and on the quick inspection I gave them, they seem to match the other Warlord plastics I have. But again, only a quick look at it.

The perpetual issue from shows like this is the crowd, specifically when you get some guy who is 6ft wide, with a 4ft backpack on, giving him a footprint of about 10ft and no way past.

I was stood at one of the stands (I forget the name of the company 'Ax-something'), trying to look at some of their miniatures. They had a really cool fantasy range of warriors riding bears, hares, lots of things like that. But, there was some guy in a massive hat who was literally stood there for 10 minutes looking at the same miniature, had half a glimpse under his armpit but that was it.

Good for browsing it ain't! I suppose they could space stuff out more, but the display area is limited and not cheap.

PRE-ORDER: GERMANY STRIKES!: EARLY WAR IN EUROPE – BOLT ACTION THEATRE BOOK
May 1, 2015 - Bolt Action, Bolt Action - Belgian, Bolt Action - British, Bolt Action - French, Bolt Action - German, Bolt Action - Polish, Latest Products - Tagged: Bolt Action, Featured
In 1939, Germany shattered the peace of Europe with a lightning-fast strike against Poland. The next year, it captured Denmark and Norway, before launching its famous Blitzkrieg against France, Belgium and The Netherlands. In less than two years of fighting, Nazi Germany became the master of mainland Europe.

This new Theatre Book for Bolt Action allows players to command armies of German tanks driving across the continent or to lead the desperate defense of the outgunned Allied armies. New scenarios, special rules and units give players everything they need to recreate the devastating battles and campaigns of the early war in Europe, including the fall of Poland, the breaking of the Maginot Line and the dramatic retreat to Dunkirk.
Remember that when you buy one of our rulebooks direct from us, it comes with an exclusive free miniature, not available anywhere else! For Germany Strikes! the exclusive model is the colourful character Fighting Jack Churchill – famous for going into battle with sword, longbow and bagpipes! Not surprisingly he was also known as ‘Mad Jack Churchill’.

On an Express Elevator to Hell!!

Warlord are about to start their 'Summer Offensive' campaign. This sounds very cool, very similar to the concept behind the sorts of campaigns GW used to run back in the day, but now with modern tech it's all done online.

http://www.warlordgames.com/announcement-bolt-action-online-campaign/

ANNOUNCEMENT: BOLT ACTION ONLINE CAMPAIGN

Dust off your orders dice because this summer we are running a massive Bolt Action event – an online campaign where you can post the results of your tabletop battles and try to affect the overall course of the war.
Every Bolt Action player can join in – when the campaign starts you’ll sign up by registering your country of allegiance and coming up with a name for your force. After that you’ll just need to play loads of battles and report back!
To whet your appetite, here’s some of our design work for the campaign website:

We’ll bring you more details of exactly how it will work nearer the time – for the moment we wanted to let you know that the Summer Offensive is on its way, so you can recruit your armies and prepare for battle.
Remember we have a huge array of starter armies and deals to help you assemble a force, including the updated German D-Day Defenders deal and the Getting Started Bundle, which now includes the German Grenadiers.

A new boxset combining the plastic Panzergrenadiers and half-tracks

http://www.warlordgames.com/new-blitzkrieg-panzergrenadiers/

NEW: BLITZKRIEG PANZERGRENADIERS

Providing a solid and mobile core to any Bolt Action early war German army our new Blitzkrieg Panzergrenadiers matches our plastic Sd.Kfz 251/1 half tracks with our excellent plastic Blitzkrieg Germans – perfect for invading Poland, rampaging across Europe or waging total war on the Bolsheviks on the eastern front! Even better it’s a great value boxed set saving you your hard-earned cash!

Whilst the glory often went to the armoured knights of the panzer divisions, the infantry were the spine of the Wehrmacht. Germany’s cunning use of Blitzkrieg tactics conquered Poland, swept through the Low Countries and defeated France, before turning their attention to the Soviet Union. Soviet forces were pushed all the way to Moscow as the relentless march of Hitler’s landsers swept all before them.
Well-led, superbly trained and equipped with the finest infantry weapons in the world, the German infantryman was a skilled and dangerous foe capable of thinking for themselves if needed, giving them a significant advantage over their foes. Vorwärts!

This boxed set contains:
30 plastic Blitzkrieg German infantry with bases
3 plastic Sd.Kfz 251/1 Ausf C half-tracks
Background and construction sheets
Waterslide decals

Out of curiosity, does anyone have a spare Bolt Action vehicle broken circle white star decal that they'd be willing to sell? I'm looking for a single one of the biggest allied broken circle white stars but would also be willing to buy a leftover sheet that contains one if someone has extras. The one pictured below is from the cromwell kit and I'm not sure how it compares size-wise to the full sheet of broken circle allied white stars you get on the general british armour decal sheet (further down). Please PM me if you've got a spare star or sheet so as not to clog up the thread and thanks in advance.

What's up plastic Panzer III

PRE-ORDER: PLASTIC PANZER III
July 13, 2015 - Bolt Action, Bolt Action - German, Latest Products - Tagged: Bolt Action, Featured, Germany, Tank War
In a daring break from the norm, we’re here to cure those Monday blues with some brand-spanking-new plastic goodness…
Hold on to your hats, because as of today, our plastic Panzer III kit (which can be assembled to represent the Ausf J, L, M or N versions!) is available to pre-order!
PANZER III (PLASTIC BOX)

The Panzer III was one of the most numerous German tanks of the war, and was the mainstay of German armoured forces when they invaded the Soviet Union. It was well armoured and equipped with the 5cm KwK 38 L/42 cannon – an effective anti-tank weapon, and the 7.5cm KwK 37 L/24 cannon – used in an infantry support role.
By the end of June 1942, ahead of the German Summer offensive in the Soviet Union, around 600 Pz IIIs mounting the 5cm KwK L/60 were ready for action at the front. Ausf L were issued to the newly-formed panzer regiments of the 1st Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler, 2nd Das Reich and 3rd Totenkopf SS-Panzergrenadier Divisions, and the Panzergrenadier Division, Grossdeutschland.
Our plastic Panzer III kit can be assembled to represent either the J, L, M or N variants;
PANZER III J

PANZER III L

PANZER III M/N

And as with all of our plastic tanks, we’re also releasing the Panzer III Zug – which contains 3 of these plastic kits – ideal for Tank War!

The Panzer III looks very good. The track sag is especially nice - they missed that on their StuG III. The Ausf J may not be entirely correct (it had some different features to the later variants), but this kit is clearly more accurate than Rubicon's Panzer III, which only really builds an Ausf M. I noticed however that the Ausf N has spaced armour on the mantlet - hopefully this is just a construction error (it should have the same 'flat' mantlet as the Ausf J).

Finally I can start on some Afrika Korps (Rubicon's forthcoming German stowage set will supply the jerrycans and other gear).

I just got the Germany Strikes book yesterday and spent an hour reading it last night.

It's the best supplement Warlord has released for Bolt Action.

Just tons of awesome scenarios, tons of cool new units, new army lists, just chock full of value and well written. Totally worth $30.

I am very glad I held off on buying an polish army... those models are nice! I know it's a bit of a cheat to build the "super elite" minority of an army, but I like the idea of early war motorized troops.

Well, the elite have to fight somewhere, too!

I also like the early war stuff, lots of interesting units and vehicles in different armies. Might have to pick up the GS! book.
