Purge the Alien, Vanguard Strike.

Nightfight was in effect turn 1.

Warlord traits:
Nids: Legendary fighter: +1 VP for killing the enemy Warlord
Eldar: Legendary fighter: +1 VP for killing the enemy Warlord

No special terrain was used.

Nids rolled higher and chose to go first.

Terrain and objectives:
4x4 map.

Nids deployment and plan:
The Nids chose the deployment side with the highest buildings and ruins to prevent the Eldar having the high ground and better LoS positions. They suspected if given the chance that is where the Eldar would deploy so moved to counter it accordingly. The Hive Tyrant and Gargoyles plan was to start on the left wing and jump bhind the bunker for cover and then into the Eldar DZ. The Gargoyles were directed to target the Eldar scouts.
The Hive Guard and Zoanthropes were to move and takethe central cathedral ruins and use it as a firebase, supported by one of the Tervigons.
The second Tervigon and HG units deployed on the right flank to try and pin the Eldar in and deny them space to manouver.

Eldar deployment and plan:
The Eldar deployed as a basic gunline. The Avatar and Falcon deployed on their right flank to try and counter the inevitable Hive Tyrant charge.
The Wraithlords and Warlocks deployed on the left flank to target the Tervigon and HG there and try and create space to move if needed later on.
The Farseer and Scouts deployed centrally amongst the ruins to try and maximise LoS and enable better cover saves.

The Eldar failed to sieze and the game began.

Nid turn 1.

Movement:
The Tyrant and Gargoyles immediately jumped behind the bunker on the left flank for cover and to deny LoS. The zoans and HG both chose to run and moved cantrally into the cathedral ruin.
The central Tervigon spawned 6 Termagants and ran to the central crater, also casting Dominion.
The second Tervigon moved behind cover.

Spoiler:

Shooting:
The HG unit on the right flank shot at the Warlock unit accompanying the Wrathlords. Hitting 6 times they only managed 1 wound and the Warlocks passed their morale check.

Eldar turn 1.

Movement:
The Falcon moved back out of charge range of the Hive Tyrant whilst the Avatar held its ground eager for a challenge.
The Warlocks and Wls moved to shoot/assault the Tervigon in the crater.
No other movement took place.

Spoiler:

Shooting:
The Pathfinders shot and killed two Terms who were with the Tervigon at the crater.
Both Wls then targetted the Tervigon there scoring 2 wounds but it saved them all.
The other Scouts could not see any other Nids units.

Hand to Hand:
Both Wraithlords charged the Tervigon at the crater. It survived both Hammer of Wrath attacks and struck first causing one wound. However with some lucky rolling the Wls hit with all 6 of their attacks and proceeded to obliterate it. They consolidated into the crater.

Spoiler:

Nid turn 2.

Movement:
The Hive Tyrant jumped to assault the Avatar in a classic matchup.
The Gargoyles jumped and chose to run to get in range for a charge next turn on the Eldar scouts.
The remaining Tervigon spawned 10 Termagants and moved to try and tarpit the Wraithlords with them.
The Zoans and HG moved into the central catheredral whilst the second HG unit moved to aasult the Warlocks.

Shooting:
Both units of HG and the Zoanthropes targetted the Wraithlords in the crater.
Both HG caused one wound and passing their psychic tests the Zoanthropes finished it off.

Spoiler:

Hand to Hand:
Note: (Had forgotten in Turn 1 that the Warlocks had charged the Termagants so this fight continued).
Both sides however failed to cause any wounds.
The newly spawned Terms then charged the last Wraithlord. They took 5 wounds from flamer overwatch fire and another in combat but held their ground.

Spoiler:

The Hive Tyrant then charged the Avatar. Both struck simultaneously (lashwhip VS cover charge).
The Avatar hit 3 times causing 2 wounds whilst the Tyrant hit 5 times causing 1.

Eldar turn 2.

Movement:
No movement took place for the Eldar whilst the Farsee failed to cast Fortune.

Shooting:
All 3 pathfinder squads targetted the Gargoyles, killing 3, in addition to the Falcon killing another 2. They held however due to Synapse.

Hand to Hand:
The Warlocks killed off the Termagants this round in combat and consolidated backwards as far as possible.
The Wraithlord killed another 2 Termagants in combat but a stalemate ensued.
The Avatar killed off the Tyrant in their combat, causing 2 wounds, whilst the Tyrant could only manage one.

Spoiler:

Nid turn 3.

Movement:

Finally the HG on the right flank moved to try and charge the Warlocks.

Spoiler:

Shooting:
The Hive Guard shot the Warlocks before charging and actually killed both.
The second HG brood then shot the Avatar causing a further wound on him, reducing him to one.

Hand to Hand:
In hand to hand the Tervigon charged the Farseer who had failed to get out charge range. It caused one wound for no loss in return.
The Gargoyles then charged the Pfs in the high ruins. Overwatch killed two whilst the Gargoyles killed two themselves in combat with no losses.
The Wraithlord killed off another Termagant leaving one remaining but still tarpitting him.
The huge Termagant brood then charged the Scouts in the Eldars backfield.
Overwatch caused 3 wounds but the Terms could only cause 3 themselves resulting in a tie.

Eldar turn 3.

Movement:
The Avatar moved towards the large Termagant brood.

Shooting:
The Falcon fired on the exposed HG in the open that had finished off the Warlocks.
It killed one. However they were now out of Synapse range and failed their morale check, fleeing 10”.

Hand to Hand:
The Wraithlord finally killed off the tarpitting Termagants.

Spoiler:

The large Termagant brood killed off the remaining PF squad in the backfield and lurked in cover there.
The Gargoyles also killed off the last of the Pfs in the high ruins consolidated slightly.
The Avatar then charged Tervigon who was engaged with the Farseer. He failed to wound it however, as did the Tervigon in response. The Farseer could do no better and a stalemate ensued.

Spoiler:

Midway score:
Spoiler:
Eldar: 6 (FB, StW +1)
Nids: 5 (LB)

Nid turn 4.

Movement:
The broken HG unit regrouped due to the Zoans Synapse.
The Tervigon spawned another 9 Termagants. They and the large 14 man brood then moved to assault the Avatar.
The Gargoyles jumped out of LoS of the Falcon.

Shooting:
Shooting saw all HG target the remaining WL. They caused only one wound however, whilst the Zoans caused one more, leaving him with one remaining.

Hand to Hand:
The Avatar caused two wounds on the Tervigon but the Farseer could not followup, leaving it with one wound remaining.
It retaliated by causing one woundon the Farseer.
The large 9 man Termagant group then charged the Avatar hitting him 7 times but rolling an amazing 4 6s to wound.
Unable to save all of them he fell to the ravenous brood.
The 11 man Term unit then charged into the Farseer also wiping him out with the sheer number of attacks.

There's no Termagants to make the Tervigons troops. The Tyranid list has no troops and 3 HQ.

Not to mention the farseer would of been insta-deathed, Strength 6 vs toughness 3. The Pathfinders where wasting shots on termaguants insted of Tervigons. You didn't roll for bonesword instant kill vs Avatar. Did you remember runes of warding? As since i dont see a single peril, you must of been very lucky. Also did farseer cast fortune at ALL?

All in all a very lob-sided game, theres a reason you can't just take an infinite amount of tervigons

I saw the no Gaunts for the Tervigans too and was going to say something...

Also, I would never play Eldar against Nids at 1000pt, with such an old expensive codex it is a hard battle fought. Hopefully the new dex comes out soon....
