You can take 8 battlewagons in a single FOC. That's 720 points, no upgrades. Then 120 for two barebones Warbosses and 300 for five Nob squads of 3 Nobz per squad.

That's a total of 1140 points so far, minimal squad requirements and no upgrades. What is the Adepticon point limit? 1850? Then you have plenty of room for upgrades, larger squads, even filling out the rest of your troop and fast attack since you already have a the HQ and troop requirements.

That's a great list and I don't think you'd be called out for trolling/cheese. It'd be a viable TAC that would play very fast.

TBH I play every tournament as a spoiler anyways. People gamble and set up their lists against anything but green tide.

Move the Battlewagons up in a giant flower like formation, back to back to back, etc. So that only av14 is facing. That would be so annoying.

You know, the longer I look at this, the more I want to try it out myself. Considering I want to build and Evil Sunz themed army anyway, but still Battlewagon's are surprisingly cheap.

Infiltrate the whole army except DF or outflank the entire army. DF turbo boosts forward, Space Pope buffs all of the kroot's rifles for an extra shot and lets them be stubborn so they won't run away. Or better yet lets them run then snapshot, extra movement phase yay! Can add more points by giving all the Kroot sniper ammo, which will actually be rough for an MC heavy lists you play!

This with the thunderwolves might actually be somewhat effective.

Space pope cannot embark on a devilfish(which could not even be purchased anyways).

you cannot outflank the whole army but you could infiltrate half and outflank the other half

Twas early. Good points both. So instead, Min FW squad, take DF as Dedicated Transport, and add an Ethereal with the FW for your HQ. Then infiltrate half the Kroot and outflank the other half!

Deathstrikes would be more amusing. They just aren't competitive, but if they do go off... woe be your enemy (and, if you're using a horde of conscripts to charge your foe, woe be the poor bastard who gets scattered on)

Start with the minimum force chart. ie: 2 minimum sized troops and a cheap cheap HQ. Keep them in reserve. Bonus points if you can get a option or special rule to force them to stay in reserve. If they do come on, hide them in a corner. Their entire purpose was simply to get a legal army.

Then spend everything you can on heavy or elite choices. Totally max it with whatever is the killiest and most survivable thing you can get your hands on. Bonus points if you spam it.

Ignore the missions completely and just see if you can table them. Bonus points for pointing at a particular model/unit at the start of each game turn and saying "You're next" then following through on killing it.

3x Lords w/ Res Orbs

4x 20 Necron Warriors w/ Ghost Arks

Do your damnedest to avoid melee. Hide your Arks as long as possible and go to ground as necessary. Glance any enemy vehicle/flyer that comes near you to death. Refuse to die yourself.

As Peregrine already pointed out, you will not be allowed to attend a tournament with such a list. If you join a tournament, you are required to make an army list that makes it possible to finish the game in due time. Slow play is a very important thing and *will* get you banned.

You could also just combine Vect and Coteuz. Always elect to go second, always steal initiative. You're trolling your opponent before the game even begins.

Now just add annoying units from each codex. Dreadknight, obviously. Reaver jetbikes just turbo boosting from hiding spot to hiding spot, doing their vector strike thing. Put Lelith in a FoR with a Krakstorm (not as good as it was before this new update, but still super annoying. AP 3 large blast that doesn't scatter) Could always park Some Psycannons on the other side of the Fortress (six inches away).

Depends on what you mean by 'trolling'. If you're just planning to take an army which will be incredibly annoying to play against, then that's just sad and pathetic. And a huge waste of your time and money.

But if you just want a bizzaro army which is uncompetitive in itself but still interesting to play and play against, that sounds a great idea.

I wouldn't recommend a Giant Horde army in a tournament situation - as others have said, it will probably never even get to end a full game.

The opposite - a tiny army of hard-ass units - would be a better bet. E.g. all-infantry terminators? (Hmm, all-infantry all-close combat terminators would be even more interesting...) A spam army (i.e. maxing out on some potentially powerful but unbalanced troop unit) seems a good idea - it will be unlike all those other 'sensible' armies, will lose horribly most of the time, but will sometimes give you a magnificent victory.
