I for one find the IE Freedom mini extremely enticing. It brings a very nice element to the whole society, plus it captures pregnancy very justly.

And that Kurgan Mecha has just saved the day. It might even get me to splurge on multi-wave shipping. Well that and I'm back with my friend for pledging.

Well, to add to the insanity we still have the regular stuff unlocked as and when RH decide it's time to do so. They've just posted in the comments saying that the bikes should be later on today, which would leave one heroine before everything initially shown is unlocked.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Hmm, looking at the pledge numbers over the past 12 hours, there seems to have been a big jump (~2-3k in a minute or so) about 7 hours ago and then it's remained fairly flat since then. Lots of 'last minute' changes going on, I guess.

RH have updated the front page with the new SG list, they just need to get some art / details for the next few up to coincide with the 48 hour warning emails that will be going out soon. Along with all the other stuff that they still need to do, of course.

Damn! Here I was thinking I could avoid spending on any of the big things when the Kurganova mech comes out of left field and demands my attention... there goes my beer money. Trike's kind of cool too. Now to balance this and Cthulhu Wars somehow...

Bikes + Trike + Lucky Lucy + the Jet Girls
Update #56 · Jul 5, 2013 · 12 comments
Remaining bikes now unlocked

We are now entering the last straight line of this Kickstarter. It has been pretty hectic on our end, preparing the uber-stretch goals. So much so that we haven't properly had the time to assemble the unlock images for the last remaining motor bikes. But you can consider them unlocked, and we will show them later today

The Kurganova Trike

We've also focused on developing the werewolves and the trikes.

Just to give you a feel of what's to come, here's an image of the first trike, the one for the Kurganova army. It is designed to integrate seamlessly with Kurganovas' regular motor bikes, but it packs way more fire power! It will unlock at $580,000.

Spoiler:

Upcoming Freebee

Here is also the next Freebee, unlocking at $565,000, which is a one-of-a-kind spotter for the Jailbird Division.

She's nicknamed Lucky Lucy, because no matter what she does or how obvious she stands on the field, no bullet has ever so much as grazed her... Lucy just won't take cover, no matter what. And luck just follows her, no matter what. Just lucky, I guess...

Spoiler:

The Jet Girls

One last thing. You'll notice that the Jet Girls unit stretch goal (at $555,000) does not really have a concept art, just some silhouettes. We are really sorry about this...
Our concept artist is currently finishing the werewolves, and his last night's sleep has only been a 2-hour stretch.
Since the Jet Girls will be made of a slightly toned down version of Drusilla with various poses, I'm sure you'll agree that it made more sense to let him focus on the beastly werewolves

Spoiler:

Automatically Appended Next Post:
I quite like the trike, though it all depends on what the JB version looks like (assuming we make it that far)

As for not having images of the bike unlocks ready to show, I find that a little odd given how much prep time they've had.

Here is the last Mecha of this Kickstarter.
For the Kurganovas' Mecha, we decided to stay with a more regular walker style.

We felt that it better matched the technical swiftness of the Kurganovas' machinery. We also wanted to include an art deco/diesel punk vibe which is one of the visual theme we'll continue to explore for this army.

Fiiiiiinally, a mech that actually looks like it might have some function.

Nice how it looks like part old style car and walker with multiple weapons! but all of them beg armored compartments be added on.

Curious, because I'm not familiar with Kickstarters. I've seen (in this one, obviously) rewards added to the higher pledge levels, to encourage upgrading.

Do they ever add incentives to the first X number of backers, in order to keep people from withdrawing their pledge?

It looks like an old tractor with legs.

Although its ability in combat would be quite questionable, I have no doubt about its abilities on the farm.

Not that I've seen. Though in theory the EB pledges are the reward that you get for being one of the first to back the KS.

Typically, they choose a "sweet spot" which is a reasonable price range for causal backers - typically between $100-150 before early bird deals. That level then tends to get quite a lot of extras piled onto it over the course of the campaign which in turn draws in lots of people who would otherwise be sitting on the fence.

Add-ons are what get people to add additional funding beyond the original, along with 2x or 3x "sweet spot" pledge levels.

Eight bucks each for the mascots? Holy gak.

Prices on the others sounds quite reasonable.

It's a Mecha, they don't make sense in combat; they are just cool and that's enough for some of us.

That was always kind of my thinking on it. With the exception of 'prophetic cops,' (Minority Report) and 'humans as batteries,' (The Matrix) mechs always seemed like the most absurd idea in science fiction. I mean, I'm willing to go with it for the sake of an entertaining story or game, but I think that expecting realism from mechs is a little like expecting my cats to serve my guests drinks.

I suspect it's because they won't be making the pets after the KS (the previous version of the bulldog was a limited anyway), so there's a degree of LE pricing (although with the size of the KS they won't be too limited)

Until you compare them to GWs prices, then everything is great

Oh, I certainly vote with my dollar, but the problem is that that is not enough. The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that.

I wonder if they will explain it as an armored grill, LOL! and like a GW Sentinel in close combat it will have to kick it's opponents like an ostrich! LMAO! But woe to targets caught in the guns fire.

Upped my plea to $250 (and lost my early bird Lieutenant special price in the process?) to be able to buy the characters and mecha I wanted.

Had plans to do this with the plea manager - but thought I would help out with this KS reaching the monetary goals.

Looks really good, hopefully the scale of the minis will not be to tiny (hoping for Dark Eldar size, not IG length).

Yeah, if you increase to a different pledge level you lose the EB perk, unless you can grab an EB at the newer level.

Probably good that you've done it now, as they've not fully confirmed that we'll be able to add post KS. Even if we can, it wouldn't count towards SGs anyway.

So, if I have an EB lieutenant slot, but add on to take my total pledge to be above the commander level, I don't get the extra $10 mini that commander gives? But with my EB lieutenant I save $11, so I'm saving a total of $1?

Yes, if you increase your EB LT above the commander level, but don't increase your chosen reward level, then you'd save $1. Unless, you can snag an EN Commander to increase the saving.
