Indeed been holding off an order as figure this could be easier

Pledged at the £1 level, the next highest level is for 6 figures and I only want 4!

I haven't had time to read through it all yet, I wonder if there are any incentives for larger pledges?


Edit: Now I've actually read something it seems like there will be more figures unlocked as the KS progresses. Can't help thinking that more should have been available at the start to encourage higher pledges.

@ Hasslefree - Any chance of adding some Matt Dixon stuff as add-ons? That might help the total as well as push some extra money his way. I wouldn't mind tossing in a pack of magnets or cards if it saved on shipping, etc.

Hasslefree Minis We are working on that right now, we will probably do something like that but not from the outset.

We're trying to stick as closely to the 'Matt Dixon' art angle as possible, but we do have some Matt Dixon based figures in our range already and they will definitely make an apearance

We may indeed add some Matt DIxon 'merch', it was discussed but he's super busy right now. We'll see what we can do before the end of the campaign

There were 12 figures to start with, there are currently 16 I believe, at time of typing this post, almost 17.

Nudity is that allowed these days? Prodos Space Crusade (or Brother Vinnie) got slammed because of the sexual suggestive nature of the designs, but Hasslefree is Ok?

I'm cool with the nudity and the cheesecake, and will happily admit I love me some Kev minis and I believe the main issues from the others you have mentioned fall into two areas:

1) Mandatory Power Armour except for the boobies. (Prodos)
2) Incredibly Rapey (Brother Vinni's Slave girls)

Here you have different situation because:

1) You have the option for Standard, Nakey and Winter wear so you can choose your comfort level.
2) These women seem to be empowered enough to be wielding weapons and fighting as opposed to chained up.

And if you have facebook check out some of the Hasslefree posts. There are already some people trying to take them to task about this "disgraceful nudity" but whoever the HF have on webduties is being polite but firm on their stance.
My favourite was someone asking where the nakey men were and being pointed to the website as nakey men were already available but more might be available in this kickstarter down the track.

The campaign includes a naked dinosaur, so arguments they're not being inclusive are... odd.

For me, Kev's naked women are high-end artistic nudes. Bona fide works of art. There is no-one else on the planet who can sculpt women's bums at 28mm scale with such accuracy, detail and love.

I am still going for the "winter" minis personally. But these are all fantastic quality minis.

You can see the three aspects as "nude - sexy/skimpy - lore friendly". That's how I see them, BTW.

Better to leave the debate about difference of treatment between Hasslefree and other companies like Protos. It was wrong in the first place. Just accept that people have different tastes and that the market is just proposing things for those willing to pay for these. That's all.

I really appreciate more female models, and those are nice in the concepts. I totally trust the sculptor to do something very close to the artwork, in great material and great quality.

That would be me, I'm on the 'everything except sculpting' duties, some days that even includes picking and packing

And the naked male is the next stretch goal, although the artwork is... dubiously bad As we were expecting to have more of a WIP in place instead so I literally spent 5 minutes in photoshop on it.

Let's see if my self deprecating humour can cover for the truly awfulness of it

All kidding aside, I do believe 'context' is important here.

A good start to the campaign. HF minis are top tear, the only thing that's been restricting my purchases from them recently is the delays in the metal versions of things.

Kinda thinking of doing a Frostgrave warband out of these, just need a few extra designs.

I would be honestly surprised if you couldn't make a Frostgrave warband out of this Kickstarter when all's said and done...

You can do one with what's available right now, I think.
