I E-mailed that imagery and problem from my regular E-mail associated with the past order and the latest problem. I have yet to have a reply via e-mail, the troop landers I got from you guys sold me enough on the products you make already, hence why I am so frustrated that this glitch with the payments system. I was trying to get the new sci-fi buildings, and forklifts and the buggies and truck and the triple tac vehicle kits.

It could be that they are now having problems with your email adderess for whatever reason

hence order issues and lack of response, so I'd suggest PMing them on here too

that way you'll know one of the messages got through

Done and done, I gave the E-mail and the models and the issue of the e-mail nature so he will be familiar via PM here. I hope it is an easy glitch as I really am drooling to have the models.Oh and the walls and building widgets! (Sci-fi walls) I even have some gorilla glue for wood materials in preparation for the things when they get here once it is all fixed and resolved.

I was about to order a bunch of stuff this morning, but the shipping costs deterred me. How can shipping for < 2 lbs of mdf board be $37 dollars?

I can get a bottle of Australian wine for under $5, and I imagine they're paying for the wine, the bottle, and the shipping, and still making a little profit at that price. :(

I assume that you can't get that wine if ordered and shipped bottlewise from Australia.
Order a container of CNC stuff and watch the postage per unit price go down

Well, yes, but I guess that's the argument for getting some distribution channels open. Perhaps I was too subtle.

I award you 2 points. One for excellent structures, and another for coining the term taurrain.

That'll be awesome! You guys do come in on the pinch when problems arise, looking out for the customers and such.

Also, the power generators look sharp!

Hoping for more Tau-compatible terrain, as every small manufacturer currently makes a version of these half-circle generators and/or a defence wall and then stops.

Just went through this thread again with fresh eyes. The Borderlands stuff is great, the water tank and shipping containers are great, and the sci-fi walls are great as well.

Maybe a request to make sci-fi walls, in a variety of lengths? 3 in, 4in, 5in, etc, all the way up to 12 inches long or whatever. It would help those of us who make hirst arts terrain.

Also, maybe pre-cut panels with "lines" and rivets etched in, like the armor plates of the worm-digger-thing, made out of very thin MDF? For the same reason, we can add them to terrain pieces.

Oh come on, the stilts and rigging make this model

Why not make two versions of the kit? One that's multi-pose, and one that's easy to assemble? I like the snap-fit models that come in the GW starter games, but I also like the muilti-pose versions, as well.

An excellent and very thorough review, Thankyou!

I'll admit that our finnese is not as great as many of the other manufacturers, this is mostly because we are using an industrial cutter rather than an engraving machine. We have recently done significant work to increase the straightness of the cuts, like reducing the size of drive cogs which effectively makes the motor steps smaller.

We are also about to start building a new machine with all of this in mind.

Design wise, I'm aware of the limitations we have and actually try to avoid as much really fine engraving as possible, and let the shapes speak for themselves. Anyone can build a box and cover it in glitter, the trick is to make the box interesting before hand. Also, I find the heavier engraving adds more to shape and presence to the model, but admitedly would also quite like to able to finer stuff.

Oh. The tires. You mentioned that there were some parts of the tires that weren't cut all the way through. I think we've now fixed that. (it seemed to be a problem endemic with the rapid direction changes involved. we lowered the feed rate on particularly wiggly bits).

How much would it cost to buy an engraver, or get the detail offerred by Sarissa Precision, or other companies. A lot of is might be willing to help you foot the bill for a new machine, or upgrade, if you cut us in on some models. Maybe a kickstarter?

If we could get this, but with a more sci-fi / Infinity look, that would be great. I also saw your pipe set made from toilet tubes, and it looks great too. Maybe more industrial stuff, or the same set, but with an industrial look as well? You already have the design work done, just changeor modify a few of the bits that are notably Tau.

Looking for the Empire spearmen from the Warhammer sixth edition box set (empire vs orcs) Must be unpainted and in good condition. Also looking for MIB Empire State Troops boxes.

Looking for Battle for Macragge and Black Reach Tactical squads, unpainted and unassembled.

Well that was fairly painless.

For a less tau look, just assemble the engraved side to the inside.

Hah - I was just thinking of building such a handle/device - the only thing is I don't want to have to glue the base to the handle or waste a bunch of bluetack or anything,

Find a way to clamp it in place on top and I'm sold.

Also - when's the Steampunk pistol coming out?

Because bases vary so much I've not been able to come up with a reliable, practical method of clamping the actual base. The basic handle does come with four platforms for about $8. (plus there will be a separate sheet of just platforms)

I'm not sure how you waste blu-tac. I just spent about $3 and have enough to mount about thirty models, and it's reusable.

I like the other stuff, but I'm not a fan (lol a pun) of the flyer.

For some reason my mind refuses to suspend disbelief and accept that it could actually fly. I'd have to tac something on the other side for the fan so it seems more balanced.

The single giant fan doesn't really do it for me. Maybe two smaller ones on wings, something like the ornithopter from the Dune TV series.
