They mention Astromancy in the article. Carnasaur looks great, but not sure I like all the surfers. Though I understand why they did that, the unused models can be made into foot mounted troops.

But back on topic: So our releases are two single large models, a plastic character, a set of 3 flying cavalry and some finecast. Whilst I do very much enjoy the Tetto'eko sculpt (it looks fantastic) we're still outputting this in the devil's own satanic invention: finecast. Overwhelmingly underwhelming in terms of releases, when the most inventive thing in their release is also the most disappointing model, you have done something wrong.

plastic Terradons should make for some pretty dynamic pieces...

I thought the same as well, but some of the models looked a little different or at least more dynamic to me.

Although that's perfectly understandable with the grainy pictures. Just wondering if I should go pick up a Battalion asap.

Also totally honestly question as I've been away for awhile - I'm assuming prices for the new releases are still normally in the front of the White Dwarf?

I just got into Empire.... FML

So, one big monster kit (2 options), a box of three models for between $50 and $60. New fast options and probably an expensive new cav option. Basic troops down to 10 models per box but averaging $2.50 to $3ish a model. Crap finecast model everyone needs as overpowered but noone wants to buy it as it is finecast.

Which army was I talking about when I started typing this.... cannot remember

Technically four options.

The Skink and Troglodon, then the Carnosaur which can have a Scar Veteran or Kroq-Gar or a Saurus Oldblood.

I like the High Priest and Tetto'Eko, that's about it. Sort of disappointed.

I can't say I'm blown away by anything either- but really - it's a bit early to judge them until we get some decent pics.

I'll have to wait for cleaner pics but I think I like the old carnosaur better. The birdies look ok though. As usual I'll buy anything with a skink on it though.

Love the Skink Priest, terradons, ripperdactyls (as weird as the name is) and I also like that the Bastil-motron is not huge... looks smaller than a stegadon. Jury's still out on the carnosaur... looks pretty good in the blurry pics but I might like the troglodon better. Excited for this weekend.

Also interested to see what the lore might be.

The problem with the big monster kit is that the rider/saddle looks so tacked on. Like someone designed the monster/dinosaulr and someone else designed the rider and just stuck it on. It sort of reminds me of the conversions where people get a toy dinosaur and then add their own rider.

curse you Games Workshop... you always have a way to pull me back into Fantasy !

The reason I never got into Lizardmen still stands, the poor quality static Saurus warriors.
