Had a blog going on about my, still in progress, renegade army, on another danish forum, but thought i would share my work with you guys here too.
Got a LOT of pictures to start with, since thin project has been going on in like, what, 4 months or something.

The army will be based around the models from the forgeworld campaign; Siege of Vraks, although im not sure wether i will base the fluff around that campaign per-se, although i guess my guys have this dug-in/city-fight/rubble feel about em. Dunno, i guess i might see the light some day and get around to make some sort of story for my guys. I feel they deserve that.
Anyways, lets get off with some pictures:

Theese was the first grunts i painted out for the army. They ended ud pretty good i think. I like the feel about them at least i guess.

The second batch i made. The picture i took back then was pretty gakky though (the lighting).

Some more guys i painted. There's going to be a fair share of pictures more, so forgive me if i dont comment on all the pictures in this posy just now.

Now, this guy. I was very pleased with the outcome of him. Too bad i painted him before i had decided on renegades. It just seems too...''clean''? now. I cant get myself to repaint him though. Guess i'll just let him bee, and call the sentinel very new loot. So new they event havent had time to corrupt it with marks of chaos ect. ect.

A heavy stubber team. The pictures wasn't good, but i guess i can see whats going on, on the model.

One of the 'über-badguys. Dunno. I kinda liked him, but i've always felt something was off on my paintjob on him. The plasmapistol was bad. Gonna give that some love at least, dunno what i could change about the rest. I do like his chainsaw though. That did turn out pretty good, i think.

Lascannon team.

3 Other guys. I made the one in the middle out of an old tallarn guy. Turned out ok i think.

2 Vox casters

Plasma dude. Bad picture i think

Quad launcher. I like what i did with it. And yes, i know i cant use it in a renegade list, but you know...The model was just awesome, so i got it anyways.

And last... a reneade ogryn:

He's still WIP. Gotten some more on him painted. Hoping to have him done tomorrow or so.

Cheers

I think he turned out pretty well. I especially like the skin on him, but dunno how i feel about his eyes. On one hand i kinda like em' but on the other hand i feel like i could give them some more love maybe.
Anyways, lets get some pictures !!!

Got 4 more dudes done:

2 dudes with shotgun. The one on the right was made with the artillery crew. THe pose was fine. Bought some of theese, to avoid a tad of pose limitations that i would experience from only using the stndart 10 man torsoe kit from fw.

2 regular dudes. not much to say about them

Awesome. I really like the heavy stubber team. I like how you incorporate little details into the bases. In my opinion I think lavishing detail on bases really puts the model in a "place" rather than just on a stand. It makes it look more realistic. The trick is not over doing it. Some people turn their bases into outrageous platforms, but I think you've nailed it here. These look great.

Thx a lot for all the nice comments guys, really means a lot to me
Havent really gotten to paint much lately, mainly because i have run out of minis to paint (except for 2 dudes from the artillery crew team, which im saving for a mortar team and a flamer).
I'm working at some terrain for them at the moment, and ordered some new stuff to paint yesterday. Hoping to have the stuff im my hands somewhere next week.
Took some group shots of the two finished squads i have now, though.

I think they look better when they stand together (And when you see the from a distance, lol)

Kind regards

Very nice!

I love what you've done with the bases and legs in particular, how did you do those?

Thanks a lot
I recieved some stuff from FW today, but i still need the chimera and legs before i really can start work on it.

The terrain i was talking about is a building. The first wall is done now, only needs to be painted, while i have begun work on the next one:

The bases is done by cutting out small circular pieces of cardboard or other types of thick paper, and just gluing them on. I the add sand, and other bits, paint them grey and add turfts.

The legs are painted with german field grey, washed with chocolate brown, then drybrushed with german field grey and then highlighted with german field grey+skull white, if that is what you ment by how i was doing the legs

Kind regards
Lundsteen

Edit*: yeah, might run them as some chem-dogs, could be pretty killer. It's a shame with some of the chaos marks if i do so, but then again, with the right banners on the banner dudes in hq it might work

I was referring to the added knee and groin armour plates, but the paintjobs are great too. Very grimy, how appropriate.

Yeah, might try and write a story about them or something. Kinda going in the recently fallen Chem Dog'ish way, with some alignment to nurgle, although not completly corrupted, but more somthing like an auxillary or something.

The knee pads was made by making some mulds of some of the exicting renegades with kneepads, and also used some of the 5'th Bretonnian knights of the realm to make the knee pads.
The groin guards where bought from victoria lambs website.

Anyways. have made some more progress.
Finished my Chimera (well almost, still not done with the skull and ''scroll' on both sides, dunno what im gonna do with them/write on them, or if ill just cover em' up with some barrels or armorplates).

Pictures!!! :

Wow. Those Cultists look incredible. I really (really) like the subdued color scheme and the blend of similar colors that match but still have just enough contrast to differentiate from each other. Bases are well done, weathering looks realistic, overall an excellent project and I'm subbed. Looking forward to seeing whatever you do next. I have high hopes for the terrain you've started.

Thanks a lot you guys!
Finished off a platoon command squad

The terrain is in progress aswell, finished off a third wall, only needing one now.

Future projects will be to finish the terrain piece, and about 8 renegades more, which i have lying. Afterwards i might want to get into making some more hw teams, maybe an orgryn or two more, at some point some ''conscripts'' and some armour.

Kind regards

What he said.

I'm going to be updating my Cultists thread in a couple days and you're getting a mention in it. I can't promise a huge increase in traffic, but I know a few people will head over and things will start to spread. Your work deserves a lot more attention.

I have finished all of the walls on the piece of the terrain, only needing rubble and floors now.
I have also begun work on some conscripts/workers rabble now.
Hoping to be able to post some more updates soon.

Good luck with your own projects guys. If you want to post a link, i would be happy to take a look at them.
