Drip drip drip.......... teeny bit more on the steam scout! Butchered a revolving canon to get the gattling gun and added a couple of little bits and bobs...
Got some wiring to add to the boiler etc and comfirm the exhaust flue then its track / wheel units.... thinking potentially of using cloth mud guards that I have seen on the British whippet tank from WW1.
Cheers all,

Nice idea doing a model patterned off the old 2 man scout tank from 1919.

Yes indeed, it seems nicely detailed and could definitely be some use... just need to figure out what to use it on! lol! Will check out your battlewagon for a lil bit of inspiration.

AAhh... I see.. that makes sense... looks good! I was thinking of chopping it up into its constituent panels and going that way.... Thanks for the tip!
On another note.... the Scrap Boyz have been busy.... and I find myself in possession of a large A1 printer (broken) from work..... Had a quick look at it and seems to be full of cogs, belts, bolts and all kinds of nice things for scratch building.... Will put up pics of the bits and bobs I pull from it this evening!
Cheers All,

haha... brilliant! And yeah it looks really effective used both ways on that Ork contraption!
Alas my attempts to break down the printer last night were to no avail! Going to have another crack at it so will make sure and show the goodies recovered!
Still swithering on the idea of a half track for the steam scout.... if I have time I might mock something up tonight and let the folks here pass judgement!
for now.. back to the grindstone...
Cheers All!

haha thanks mate! I appreciate you looking in!
Yes it is definetly going to be a half track.... still trying to figure out the best way to set it out.... I know the conventional way is for the tracks at the back and the steering wheels to the front..... but I don't usually like convention too much....
Got a little bit of greenstuff and super sculpy from a sculptor friend this weekend so going to have a dab at moulding and sasting some rhino treads.... I have plenty of long sections but 0 short ones!! this should help get the tracks together then just need an axle and system to mount the rear wheels!
thanks all,

Hey all,
Managed to get the track units put together and the rear axle with the steering wheels.
Got to admit, I really like the tracks to the front and the wheels to the back... any thoughts?
Loads more rivits to add and add more details to the track units. Thinking of adding a chain steering system something like the old steam engines from the turn of the 19th century.
Cheers all.

Thanks a lot MT!! Really appreciate you looking in! Going to add some skirts and fabric track guards to the sides and then an exit hatch to the back... sot some tools to add.. some chain and then I think its just about done....

thanks for looking in mate and thank you for the comments! Really means a lot!
The rivets are actually girls "Nail Art Beads..." can be bought on ebay for about £2/1000!!! I started a thread about this on dakka a while ago...
http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/591094.page
I have recently found some 1mm diameter ones too! Just type.... 1mm nail art beads into ebay.. and hay presto!
IMHO they are the best thing for a great uniform and effective rivet!

Just wondering what the opinion is on track guards / mud guards on this one.... was thinking of adding some to provide a little stowage space.... but not sure... any thoughts?

That could work. I would recommend placing them a little high off the tracks, not flush over them like you would see on a more traditional tank. I don't know why, but that aesthetic just seems more fitting the overall build. That's my 2 cents anyway.

Completely agree with you there... Had a go at the track guards.... higher up and almost like little wings... but IMHO it really adds to the aesthetic of the little tank..... got a bit more rivet work done also... the track units still aren't glued on but I think overall its really coming together.... Lover to hear your comments!
Cheers all!

The tankling is an interesting piece. I like it quite a bit. Maybe a trench crosser on the back? Or whatever those things are called. They are on the back end of the malcador too. Given that it is shorter in length, such a device might make sense for it.

Thanks guys for looking in & commenting!
OneManNoodles Cant wait to see what you do with them! They really make riveting easy and actually a bit of a delight!
added a pic to show the small crew hatch on the top of the hull... its a pretty tight squeeze and only one access hatch for 2 crew...
Red Harvest Trench rails? like the lovely ones OMN does actually... I can see how they would fit but I think this time I am going to leave it as it is... might add a little hitching point that might take a trailer or supply deck or something.... but I think TBH its all done! Got my next little project in the pipeline & waiting to go! hehe!
Thanks again folks!
