Straight trade.

Me - Bunch of tau

Him - Bunch of Grey Knights

Packaged everything up and sent out on 8/12. Was signed for on 8/14 by customer's first initial last name.

Have yet to hear anything from member since 8/11.

Upon further investigation I have found that the trader has another name on this forum, norm0041 with a previous transaction report filed. http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/541142.page

After googling their address I have a phone number which does not have a voice mail setup, but I plan to continue calling.

If I don't get a response this week I plan on contacting the local police.

Sounds like he did try to screw you.......Plus i am pretty sure the two forum user names is a ban right there.

it seems the phone number associated with the address is an old number from when it was a bed and breakfast.

I guess I will wait to see if anything happens this weekend before contacting the police.

Please just post generally (ie do not actually post any personal information, such as his address) but I do not see the connection from looking at that thread... so I assume you must have PM'ed someone who traded with norm0041 and the addresses match... or something similar?

Well to clarify the double accounts thing, that was a buddy of mines he was having me use the account and address for him while he moved. And I've messaged Wreeper007.

Can you clarify the status of the promised trade on your end?

I haven't received anything. I've not been home last week, as my mom hasn't told me of any packages. I've not nor has my mother signed for any package containing tau. I've look on my front porch and back and both side of my house and haven't seen anything.

I feel safe posting this since neither of our addresses are on here.

Ok sure but that's not how you spell my name, I've signe my name plenty of times, I know how to sign my name. Someone else must have signed for it. I know for a fact that I nor my mother signed for it. I don't have his tau, if I did I would have sent the GK half off by now.

Main evidence comes from 2 sets of threads and maybe a coincidence.

In the above thread by norm0041, a photobucket account is linked, http://www.photobucket.com/profile/cjrex.

The coincidence is that both people, living in a smaller town in Virginia, hours from any store, would both disappear for an amount of time after shipment of a trade has happened and it was signed for, then claim that it wasn't delivered.

If I am wrong then I apologize, but I see too much similarity to just dismiss it.

cjrex has contacted me, saying that no package has been received by them. Fedex says it was signed for and the person that signed for it has the same initial and similar spelling for their last name as the member. This is generated when the fedex person, during delivery, asks for their name after they sign. It is entirely possible that that employee did not add the extra e in the last name, which is very possible.

I don't see where it say says a name, someone signed for it at that address and if you were not home last week, why try and initiate a trade before you able to send your part of the deal.

This doesn't sound right and wreeper007 has a pretty good case.

When you click on the fedex link, right under delivered it says who signed for it. It says CKELLY.

As I said that is my friends account I was using it while he moved and the name CjRex is a nickname said friend gave me. That's why the photobucket has the name CjRex. I was using his photobuket on the last few pictures for trading purposes, the imperial fists early in the album are his that he painted.

Again I would send the grey knight if the tau where here. I have the grey knights still packed up in my closest waiting.

Probably best to contact them through the local police service if they are showing a complete unwillingness to ship (which they seem to be), despite the fact that they are documented as having signed for it.

Fedex isn't known for screwing up.........I would say ship him his stuff man or you will most likely end up with the police phoning your mom. (At least from what it says above)

The problem is, there is only you saying that, and the whole to do with a previous account linked with scamming, whether that was actually you or not (and you cannot prove that it wasn't, while there is some evidence to suggest that it was) has left your word as worth a bit less than the postage company, who are saying that it was delivered and signed for.

One can be proven, and one can not be. And it is the aggrieved party who has the proof so far. So he(/she) would be perfectly in their rights to ask the police to step in and retrieve their items, which they have good reason to believe have arrived.

Anyway I should stop posting here, as it is a TR and I'm not actually involved. Sorry mods.

If CjRex doesn't come clean, I'm willing to drive down to his place, please PM his address I'll find the missing items for you.

Well the police won't have anything to ship to him beacuse I don't have the tau. If I did the knights would have been shipped. And what my buddy has done doesn't prove anything against me. I don't scam, ill ask around my neighborhood and see if anyone got it by mistake, or if they have seen anything.

I still believe a call to the police is in order.

I know I said I was out, but you shouldn't make comments like this, especially when something may be escalated to police involvement by the end. They will not take things as seriously if there are random threats of driving down to sort things out. Even if you didn't intend it as a threat, it is one of the ways that this could be taken.
