Just got a message saying that he ran in and ran out but should be here wednesday or thursday.

I told him that the number would be on his receipt and that it covers him having sent it if I never receive it.

If he's managed to upload pictures on the forum (which I don't know if he has before, but...), it would stand to reason that he can take a picture of the receipt from the transaction at the post office and post it here.

Ask for him to post a picture of it for you, so you can absolutely confirm it's been sent.

I'm very sorry you're going through this. It just seems like he's had one excuse after the other. Hope this resolves quickly for you.

Given the history of behaviour displayed here even seeing a picture of a receipt with the correct date would be helpful.

Just keep everyone updated, the Northern Virginia/Maryland area has very active clubs, and many users, I believe RITides mentioned he was, and I am, are in the area and know the folks. So, worst comes to worse, pressure can be applied from a club level (pressure as in social, no weird "rawr physical violence" meaning to this) to have the situation resolved amicably.

While USPS doesn't provide tracking without additional fees, their receipts ALWAYS display the city and zip code of their delivery destination.

That in of itself should suffice that he's at least sending it in your direction, though it hardly makes up for all the trouble you've been through over this.

Everyone posting that he should take a picture of the receipt are correct, of course. However, I'd like to ask folks to wait on the resolution of that (I'm sure wreeper007 has asked) rather than to continue to post here about it.

Despite the delay, CjRex has responded here, and hopefully has now shipped. If that is not the case, there will of course be consequences. But in the spirit of not fostering witch hunts on Dakka... let's wait a few days and see what the results are.

But wreeper007, please do update if you receive a picture of the receipt or not- if there is no receipt pic and the package does not arrive by the end of the week, that will be pretty clear evidence that the next step needs to be taken with the local clubs, his parents, and/or the authorities.

This is not true, all USPS receipts have the number printed on the receipt. I've been doing it for years, and just did this the other day on 8/12. They don't even give you the Delivery Confirmation paper anymore, it's all on the receipt under 'Label #' .

This is bull, I standard shipping comes with Delivery Confirmation now for free, and priority mail comes with tracking for free, both of those are on your receipt.

USPS always provides tracking on the receipt. Your just eating what ever he feeds you. Stop being nice and call the police already.

Actually the number not being on the receipt was from my memory. That wasn't his saying at all.

Thursday, still no package.

Have requested an image of the receipt and tracking number twice. No response.

I'd say wait until 6pm local time, which should be the absolute latest for any deliveries.

At that point, police it up.

Do the mods have it in their power to check last login? That way we could establish ignoring vs not received (or legged it, which, I fear is getting increasingly likely)

Admins do, not sure about mods, although they could easily request that info from LegoBurner if need be. Not sure if admins release it or not.

I would honestly just call the first Sheriff's number you find and explain the situation. Jurisdiction is a bit of a strange thing as some police departments have very limited jurisdiction within a county while the Sheriff's department will cover the entirety of a county.

Yeah, just try one and ask. If they can help you, great, if not they'll probably point you in the right direction.

Yeah once you call one department, if it's not the right jurisdiction they will send you in the right direction with the correct information to expedite the process.

I use my iPhone so I don't think I can post pictures, and something has been going on in my area, I haven't had any reception. I am out of my house right now. The USPS some how never sent it, so ill be getting it out tomorrow. And if it make everyone feel better and to shut up, (those that are not mods or wreeper) ill post a tracking number if I get one tomorrow. If I don't ill ask wreeper for his email and email him a picture of the receipt. And no this is not an excuse but I have been evicted from my house today and have till the end of September to move. So right now calling the cops would not help.

Post a pic of the receipt tomorrow, otherwise at this point there is no reason to believe you. If you do not post the pic tomorrow I will go ahead with contacting the IFL.

That said, unconnected parties please keep this thread clear, especially if nothing is shown tomorrow, for those involved to coordinate action. Thank you.
