I agree. The history of DM thread is a good collection, but I think we should add in the Alan Welson incident.
I feel like following the trends we're at the tail end of this scheme. Six following death threats DM sulks to the shadows for a few weeks.
Last nights explosive threat of self harm (true or not) is his escape plan and both pages will be quiet while he builds a new business.

DM has not done anything but message and harass a variety of people with this latest ploy.

Just to be clear Dalan, you haven't done a single thing to clear your name. Not. One. Solitary. Thing.

Stop whining and show the screenshot, or admit you are busted and in possession of stolen goods or that you tried to perpetuate a fraud with BCS. Nothing else will do. If you're innocent, or not Mandelbaum, then prove it. You can do so in literally dozens of ways. If you refuse to lift a finger to prove we are wrong, then what do you expect exactly? Do you think your word alone means anything to anybody? It doesn't. There isn't a person on the face of the planet who's word alone is worth less than yours.

Cough up some proof or admit what you did and who you are or just buzz off and start your new 'business' if you haven't already. No one cares about your games and bs otherwise.

Would it be worth adding to the Mendelthread a list of know sockpuppets (and we have to be careful as to who we say are socks ) but i mean a list of the 3 post die hard phone only dakka's and the posts on FB who defend him unto death but don't actually exist when you look for them ?
Every one of these we post and log in the ever expanding history of DM is another nail in the coffin of his ridiculous charade of "friends" there is only so many times "x" can come out and defend a new gaming studio selling dodgy dreams before we have to check any facts as to weather its DM

He removed them. But of course they are documented in plenty of screenhots. Standard Mandelbaum procedure to counter his usual attempts to make accusations go away by pretending he never tried to sell the titan.

You are correct they are gone. My guess is he either removed them to say that he isn't selling them or GW sent out a C&D.
Although usually they would make him remove anything he said was for sale.

I'm not sure what these posts contained, but I can say for certain that these posts need to stop.
They hurt our cause and give Alan/Daniel something to use to say that Dakka is personally attacking him and threatening his life.

While at times it may seem like we crack a joke or two at Daniels expense, I assure you we all take this matter very seriously.

I'm sure Tom would agree that this thread needs to get back on topic, and in the last few days there have been no new public updates to BCS or Alan's page since the suicide threats the other day, but there were confirmations that he was messaging individuals privately after that night.

This isn't a game, and no matter how disgusting and transparent a ploy is or who it is from, that is absolutely no justification to mock or disrespect the topic of the ploy, especially one as serious as suicide.

I expect the failure of his most recent outbursts to garner any real controversy or chatter will/has resulted in his abandoning of the alias and moving on to the next business/identity.

Keep your eyes peeled guys, for any FB page that seeks to do business via PM only, is selling FW bits and featuring conversions. Also worth keeping an eye out for pages or individuals with no history suddenly joining and posting in every 40k group under the sun, and places with 500+ likes in less than 6 weeks.

As long as you make it a policy to see a business number, or otherwise confirm where you are buying from, you, and the people you buy from, everything should be A-OK. It isn't hard to find out if who you are dealing with is even half-way legitimate. It is very, very difficult however, to live in 2013 with absolutely no online track-record or any verifiable facts behind you.

I'm surprised he moved on so quickly from Resin Forge, after how embarrassing that debacle was for him and Stephanie. It takes a true kind of ignorance and tunnel vision to come out the other side of that thinking nothing happened.

Dayum, that mean when I make my fb page for M-a-M I'll have to put a pic of me of my ugly mush up.. a sure way to lose custom

What gets me is though, previously Daniel has run a business that has gotten out of hand and THEN started with all the aliases and th all the gak , the stories etc when he couldnt cope with orders etc or wanted to boos his customer base (as in the fulgrim debacle). This time he has gone out and used something that he knew wasnt his (the plans) which makes this time premeditated, thats surely something more to worry over.

You're assuming that it wasn't pre-meditated the other times as well. There is something to be said for garnering good will first, otherwise you can't run for the hills with as much cash as you can.

You may of heard of a little something called a Ponzi Scheme. There's not much point to pull it off until you've got the pay-off primed, and nothing does that better than goodwill and growing your business.

Again been in business for years but has no track record, again no info to go off of, again a bunch of pics of other peoples stuff, at least partially. Obvious recasts of the Stealth suits and the batwing Deldar stuff... can only assume the rest is fishy at best too.

Not saying this is Mandelbaum, but use your heads when ordering things online.

Also shortly before was "Commission and Painting", now selling counterfeit or non-existing Resin products pirated from Forge World.

I don't think Mandelbaum goes in for much recasting, it's too much effort. He prefers to falsely offer something, then take your money and run.

Considering his apparent "plan" with the Warhound Titan can't have been much more than a quick moneygrab, why not try it with seriously-underpriced recasts (which mayeasily not exist, as all pictures are stolen from ebay and other sites)? He could be desperate enough.

Wasn't that actually something original rather than recasting? Anyway, I said 'not much', I'm aware he has done a bit of casting work but usually it's just for the benefit of a few to make it look like there's a product, to pull many more people into a scam. He doesn't make a business out of casting stuff, the issue time and again is that he doesn't deliver product.

It's quite difficult to say as there is almost no text to go from. Maybe he learned that his babbling always gives him away, who knows ^^

Again, just to point out, I am not saying this is Mandelbaum, nor do I currently have any evidence it is. Just the suspicious timing really in that dept.

I did bring it up, after a very kind member of the community pointed it out to me, because this is exactly the kind of stuff we should all be watching out for. It does fit the Mandelmould in terms of lack of info and accountability and the helter-skeleter nature of offerings, including stuff obviously nicked from other sources.

- Get concrete info on the seller.
- Don't buy on Facebook, not without paypal, and do not under any circumstances let your 45 days run out if you don't have stuff in hand.
- If something is too good to be true, like three 300 dollar titans that cost more like $2200 base cost to 3D print (the stated way they are being fabricated), then DON'T bite. No one is out to give 1800 bucks to strangers on the net. Not in the form of Titans anyways.
- If you ask for info, and you get absolutely note, even the most basic, easy to answer stuff, then DON'T bite.
